I like everything in Jewel GH and really had a nice stay and tnx to all staff there were kind and helpful.

The rooms are really dated, I had read the reviews so didn't have high expectations! .. It was ramadam and they forgot about our breakfast so they quickly put something together. The local area isn't good and the hotel is on a really busy Road. The pool looked good but was full of local teenage kids so didn't comfortable going for a swim. For some reason at 02.15 there was a knock at the door and someone passed me a "breakfast box" - didn't know what to say! . I tried to call reception at 04.15 to get a taxi to the airport but the man was sound asleep at his desk!

I loved it. So much more character than staying in a fancy chain type hotel .... Hotel is like a resort .... there is a security boom gate, so it means Uber has to come inside ...... so much better than standing on a (hectic) Cairo street !! Close to the airport ..... Uber to airport or city centre costs about €5 ! The hotel is very Egyptian ... didn't see many (any) other Western tourists here .... I loved it ! The reception staff can usually speak English and are really helpful ! Brilliant 25 metre pool, a proper lap pool. Hotel guests can only (officially) use between 10 and 2 .... pool is (sometimes) used for school groups outside these times. A breakfast box is delivered to your room each morning. I only discovered on the last day, that there is a choice of two different types ... Oriental or Continental ... not sure what the difference is ! Enough in the breakfast box to feed me for breakfast and lunch ... there is a fridge in your room to store leftovers ! I ordered dinner at the hotel each evening. It's an experience ..... in a quaint & quirky way .... the food is really good and the pizza is really, really good !! No alcohol is served at the hotel, but there is a shop down the road ... Bazaar Sakara which does sell alcohol apparently ... but it was shut for Ramadan. Maybe bring a corkscrew with you .... hotel didn't seem to have one ... but cheerfully pushed the cork into the bottle for me !!! LOL .... The wifi is slow ... but I had just been on a tour - stayed in some fancy 4 and 5 star hotels ... and the wifi was slow in most of them ..... recommend getting an Egyptian sim card ... but even hot spotting to phone internet speed wasn't great !

The shower enclosure is a little small ... but hey, the water is warm ... does the job !

Location Cleanliness Bathroom was horrible. Too small not clean and not like the pictures. They are posting fake or old pictures for their rooms The employee at the check-in counter was not friendly at all. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel.

the staff were amazing, safe location and great for a solo traveller the staff made sure they were comfortable and safe

Poor wifi in the rooms.

Sometimes, it was noisy at hallways. The AC was not working.

the room windows are not very sound proof (I need silence for a good sleep, it could be big challenge for any hotel). The pool is not only for hotel guests.
