We had five adults staying at Fiona place in Edinburgh and it was the perfect retreat for us all. The location is amazing - a short walk from many pubs, markets, and transportation options. Easy access to EDI via the tram, but far enough away to still feel away from the hustle and bustle of big city life. The furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen well appointed, and the views were stunning. Our host, Fiona was great to work with as well. We highly recommend this place and hope to stay there again one day.

We traveled with our U.S. friends and their teenage son to Edinburgh after attending a wedding in Northwest England. Our stay was only two night - we had wished it were longer. Fiona, our host, provided everything that was needed for a wonderful, comfortable stay. The space was surprisingly bigger than the photos depicted. It was a great layout for the five of us. The outdoor spaces were wonderful too and the location can't be beat! Fiona was incredibly helpufl and responsive, especially when we were "trapped" in the garage (sorry Fiona!). It all turned out great and we hope to be able to stay again in the future. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

We had an amazing stay. So much so we came back for additional days. This property is everything a VRBO should be, clean, good location, good layout/bedrooms and a very friendly host.

The property was absolutely gorgeous. The pictures can't capture the size of the condo, and after spending several days in cramped hotel rooms the large open spaces were a welcome change! The views from the balcony were breathtaking, particularly at sunset. The location was in a very safe, quiet and clean neighborhood. The walk into the old town only took 15 minutes or so. The condo was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The host provided clear instructions so that check in was simple! I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Edinburgh and we will book here again the next time we visit! Our family honestly did not want to leave at the end of our stay.

This place was even better than the pictures. Fiona have great instructions and the location was perfect. This place was the biggest reason our trip to Edinburgh for the first time was perfect.

We stayed here for 3 nights in Jul 2023. Everything was wonderful. Hands down the cleanest vacation rental I have ever stayed at. Fiona was a great host and very responsive. The extras she left for us were very much appreciated, especially the coffee and milk after an overnight flight. This unit had everything and is very spacious, especially for the U.K. where apartments are often very small. Very quite location. 5/5

My family and I enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment. The beds are all very comfortable, and the place was very clean. The host, Fiona, was friendly and helpful. The apartment was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish washer detergent and laundry detergent, although we bought more laundry detergent since our family of 5 did a lot of laundry. One note - this may be true of all combo washer/dryers, but the dryer barely dried our clothes, so they always had to be laid out on drying racks (provided by the host) to dry. The clothes mostly dried within a day, so just pack your clothes with that in mind. The apartment we rented after we left this one lacked in most amenities, starkly contrasting with all the little touches that made this VRBO so comfortable, including a power adapter. The views from the penthouse are gorgeous, and we had great weather so enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. The apartment is located within a few blocks of bus stops, and is within walking distance to the downtown area if you're ok to walk uphill about 6 or 7 blocks. There are grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance, and the surrounding neighborhood is lovely. The floors in most of the apartment are pretty creaky, which might be an issue if you have different people trying to sleep at different times, but I will stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever get the opportunity. The penthouse served us well since it is in walking distance of Edinburgh sites. We also drove to Dunnotar and Stirling castles as well as the Stirling Wheel. The penthouse was great with three bedrooms and three bathrooms plus a spacious dining/living area. Fiona was quick to respond to our questions. Five stars no question.

Felt like being home. Wonderful penthouse, warm, cozy, clean, everything you need to feel like you are at home. Beautiful views, easy to walk to city, sites and shopping. Fiona is so kind and gracious. I wish I could have stayed longer. Thank You Fiona.

This experience should be the model for all VRBOs should strive for! Fiona our host was very supportive and attentive to all our questions . Check in directions were spot on and the place matched the description perfectly —-a luxury apartment ideal to meet the comforts for 3 couples over the age of 60. Moderate walk from Annandale to Leith Walkway onto Waterloo- the heart of Edinburgh sites. My friends LOVED the place and the balcony was appreciated with a glass of wine after a long day of waking. If you have a group and want the perfect place to stay during with the perfect host, your search has ended—book this place!

We had a terrific time in Edinburgh using this apartment as our base of operations. The owner, Fiona, was so helpful from our first contact and throughout. She was very responsive and answered all our questions prior to checking in and offered terrific recommendations for restaurants. The place is extremely clean, bright and centrally located. About a 15-25 minute walk to most attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

The six of us stayed a week in this lovely and spacious flat. Great views, comfy beds and nice bathrooms. The owner was available for all our questions in a timely fashion. Highly recommend!

The beautiful, light filled location on the top floor provided spectacular views and a great perspective to see the whole city. It was easy to explore and pick up delicious produce and local fare to whip up a meal in the well equipped kitchen. Our two college age children had their own rooms and bathrooms. The apartment manager was responsive when we had questions.

This apartment is very lovely, well-maintained, clean and comfortable. It was very spacious and well-equipped. The communication with Fiona was excellent, as well. Her directions and suggestions were wonderful; we tried several of her restaurant recommendations, too. Our only problem during our stay was the inability to get a cab/taxi or Uber on any day there. I don’t know if this is typical, or if our stay was during an extraordinarily busy time. We would definitely stay here, again, if we visit Edinburgh.

The flat was very clean and comfortable The building was very quiet too. Kitchen was well stocked, nice touches like some essentials in the fridge for when we arrived. Our host was very communicative and easy to work with. Probably the best guest info book I've seen with clear instructions and helpful tips. We had a truly lovely stay.

The bathrooms are large and everything (water, hot water, plumbing) worked very well. The beds were comfortable. Communication with the owner was excellent. She had everything we needed ready for us, and responded quickly to questions. We walked to the castle in about 15-20 minutes door to door. Everything else we did on foot was even closer than that. We took the train to St. Andrews for a day and walked to the Waverly train station without difficulty. We would stay at this VRBO again. It was really a very comfortable place to stay.

We were a group of six and the apartment was perfectly comfortable for all of us. Fiona is a great host - she was always responsive to questions and was able to let us both check in early on our arrival day and extend the reservation at the last minute because of a flight cancellation. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our visit to Edinburgh and can't wait to return.
