We stayed there (family of 5) with friends of ours (family of 6) and the space worked perfectly for us. There was plenty of space/bed to accommodate our 7 children and 4 adults. The living room was a favorite hangout and we loved the reclining sofas/chairs. We especially appreciated having a table large enough for us all to eat together and the lazy Susans were such a helpful touch! The kitchen was well stocked and we had what we needed in order to cook for our crowd. Our only complaint was the amount of dust around the home. As someone who grew up in a remote.rural place I know it is a never ending battle, but it was very noticeable in some areas (not enough to make the trip unbearable). We have stayed in other homes in the Territories and this home was the first one that ticked all the boxes for our large troop! Thank you for a wonderful stay--we will certainly return!

Very clean comfortable and spacious property. Enjoyed the Galena area sites & restaurants. Great location with access to the General Golf/Convenience Store & the Highland Restaurant/Lounge. We will likely return in the summer/fall time frame!

Our family of 8 adults and 4 kids, aged 7-11, had a wonderful weekend. It was too cold for outdoor activity but there was lots to keep everybody entertained in the roomy house and separate game room. We were gathering for a late Christmas celebration and were happy to see the Christmas tree and decorations around the house. We contacted the service for early check-in, and again with a problem with the game room door lock, and our concerns were handled quickly and courteously. We would consider using this house again and recommend it to others.

Great home to entertain the kids and relax. Communication with the host was excellent… even in a blizzard!

We all had a great time. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of games. The play area snd sleeping area for small children was terrific. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly! Kitchen is small but workable. The bed mattress needs to be replaced. The heating in upstair room is less but manageable. No shampoo/body wash in bathrooms..

This is the 5th year our family stayed at Timber Ridge to celebrate Christmas and we’ll keep coming back. The game room and Sapling room are great for keeping kids entertained. The home is secluded behind trees and has beautiful surroundings. The dining room and table is large enough for everyone. The beds are the most comfortable of any rental we’ve stayed at. Our family loves this house.

Our extended family of 11 (4 - 69) LOVED our long weekend together at Timber Ridge!!! The 5 kids had fun with ALL the special spots…the Secret Store, the Game Room, the Movie Theater, the Fire Pit and the Hot Tub!!! Lots of spaces for the adults to relax in as well. We were enchanted by the history of the home and all the little touches that went into creating such a unique getaway haven. We were all sad when it was time to ring the bell and say good-bye…..but we’ll be back for sure!!!

The various rooms allowed for family to find a place for their own needs as well as the living room that allowed for all of us to gather together. The game room and toy area under the stairs was a hit with the children along with the movie theatre. The screened in porch was a perfect place to begin the morning with the sunrise. The owners have made this place feel like home and we appreciate them opening it up for rental for us to enjoy.

We had 12 family members staying at this lovely home! It was large enough to accommodate all of us. There was so much to see in this thoughtful 6 bedroom home. I especially liked the theater room and the screen porch! We will be going back soon I hope.

The kids really enjoyed the bunk room and kids play area under the stairs. All of us enjoyed the hot tub and theater room with access to Disney+. The many rooms allow3ed us all to have our own space while still being able to enjoy each other's company.Access to the Galena Territory Owner's Club is a great perk - we went swimming almost every day! The historic downtown isn't too far away, so we were also able able to enjoy everything downtown Galena has to offer! The rental company was very responsive when we had questions. On our last day, we headed to Mississippi Palisades State Park which had some amazing scenic views of the Mississippi River and some nice hiking trails. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay in Galena and Timber Ridge - especially groups of families (we could easily have fit another family along with the two of ours).

Wonderful house! Perfect family spot with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Listened to the birds and enjoyed our coffee on the screened in porch each morning. Would definitely recommend!

Only two concerns - in order to keep folks from overheating on the third level, bedrooms on the first level were very cold; and screens on porch had a few holes so we had wasp visitors.

This is one of the best VRBO properties you will ever stay at. It is charming, UBER clean, and you can tell that the owners were meticulous in the time that they put into this renovating this property. There is something to do for the entire family. I wish we could have stayed longer. Kudos to the owners!!!

Long Easter weekend was our Christmas gift to our family! The home was perfect for everyone, from the game room, to the hot tub, movie room, huge dining room table for family dinners, and our youngest granddaughter loved her "own crib" ( she's 2)! Very relaxing too! I can't say enough good things about this home! Great host too!

We rented this to have our Christmas with our children and their significant others. We had 9 in our group and had TONS of room. The home has plenty of areas to socialize in and is very clean. We might make this a yearly event with our kids.

Our family has rented this home during December for the past 5 years to celebrate the holidays together. It truly has something for everyone. Plenty of toys (including a crib, pack-and-play, high chair, booster seat) for the wee ones. A home theater for the adults, pre-teens, and teenagers, and a separate game room where we have fun competitions. Everyone enjoys the fireplace and hot tub during the winter. And as if that's not enough, there's the Owner's Club with a pool and other amenities. The house is always clean, the kitchen is well-stocked, and the dining room with its amazing table is the right size for the whole family. Love this home and wouldn't think about going anywhere else for the holidays.

The new family room furniture and outdoor deck furniture were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. The game room and movie room are favorites of my grandchildren:) We enjoyed hiking in the beautiful wooded areas, s'mores at the firepit, tennis games, and of course the quaintness of Galena.I also appreciate how well stocked the kitchen and bathrooms are, but I would make a suggestion about perhaps replacing the cookie sheets in the bottom drawer of the stove. Everyone from grandparents to kids had a great time. Fully equipped house, especially for the toddlers! So much space for the 12 of us. Loved to use the pool and gym!

Great property and we all agreed that it should be a five star. There wasn’t anything missing and entertained a two year old to a 70 old. Both clean and comfortable. We loved our vacation at the property and felt like the owners were family.
