Very nice place for a family vacation, pictures are accurate. The master suite is luxurious! There were plenty of beds and bedrooms for a big group. The hot tub was wonderful, the indoor/outdoor seating areas were nice, spacious. The wifi works. The kitchen was big enough and equipped enough we were able to cook and eat in. We couldn't swim the lake near the shore because of vegetation but we did kayak and paddleboat all around. There is some great wildlife, we watched families of swans swim around over coffee. The lake is the right depth for pontoons and jet skis, we brought a little bit bigger boat and ended up putting it in a different lake nearby that had a good public launch. Tia and Mike were great hosts!

This property is very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals. The indoor and outdoor spaces allowed lots of space to gather for meals and spending time with family.

14 cousins from across the state spent 3 nights here. It had plenty of rooms and a nice kitchen that made it easy to do meals. Very satisfied with our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay -- plenty of room to accommodate our large group of family members meeting up from different states. I booked the place and my relatives who arrived before us were so excited and impressed with the house! We especially enjoyed the hot tub, and the kayaks and paddleboat (despite Cooper Lake not being ideal for swimming). We were very comfortable inside the home as well, and very much appreciated the host leaving us a blender when I asked in advance if there was one available. Would definitely recommend this property!

We really appreciated and enjoyed our stay. We were able to accommodate ourselves, our adult children and spouses and three toddlers very comfortably, and the open plan kitchen/living room was a perfect gathering place. Tia was a super host, she suppled porta-cribs, a high chair and a couple of booster seats so no one had to travel with them, and having four full baths was really a bonus. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was very well supplied, very large refrigerator/freezer, lots of plates, glasses and flatware. Her information and directions were very clear and she was sympathetic to our logistical issues. We had a lovely Christmas holiday stay. Very much recommend this property.

The property is well taken care of. The layout is great for large groups. There are 6 bedrooms with the master being phenomenal. The bed situation worked well for us, but there is only one ensuite, but there are plenty of other bathrooms and all have at least a shower. One member of our party is wheelchair bound and by moving some of the furniture around, the kitchen, living room, and the office bedroom were very accessible as was the large deck. there are a few steps to get into the house and down to the dock, but we are used to helping him up and down, so that wasn't a major problem, but people with ADA issues should be aware. There is one bathroom on the main level that has a walk-in shower, and the property had a shower chair, so that worked great. The bed situation was not optimal for our group, because we were mainly adults and there is only one King bed and there are two rooms that have a full bed with a twin in the same room. However, all beds were comfortable. Ask mentioned, the lake was great, but the owner had warned us that swimming from the beach was not an option because of the vegetation growth in the water. There is a sand bar in the lake where everyone goes to hang out and party. The sand bar can be reached by kayak or paddle boat and there are numerous of both that come with the rental. We chose to rent the pontoon boat offered by the owner and would advise that for larger groups. Overall, a great place to stay. We used the property as a base of operations to attend a football game at The Big House. We take this group to at least one away game each year and had 16 adults with 3 kids on blowups on the living room floor and it worked great. If you are doing similar, I would advise renting a party bus to transport to the gam as we did. The stadium is about an hour away. The owners were great, and we ran into them at the sand bar and partied with them for a while. Good folks. We went to the nearby Walmart and bought several cheap fishing rigs and the kids (and adults) had a blast fishing for the very compliant blue gill pan fish right from the dock.

This was a great place to stay. The owners were helpful and friendly. The house was spacious and functioned well for many different needs. The lake was beautiful.

I would come back to this place in a heartbeat. You know how nothing is good as the pictures look? - well this place is even better. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is large and easy to have several people working at once --- and IT IS ON A LAKE!!!!! Everything was just great and Tia & Mike are the best hosts. All of my friends would come back in a heartbeat... and they take pets (icing on the cake!)

Would be nicer in the summer to be on the water! We did enjoy the hot tub, though. The bedrooms allowed our large family with little ones to all get good night sleeps. Some problems with the house: * most of the house was clean with a few exceptions -- oven and some old donut holes found in a closet * no paper towels, napkins, garbage bags or salt -- seem like basic things a rental home should provide. One dishwashing pod when we were there for four days and nights. Also, bathrooms and kitchen need better soap! * the house temperature varied greatly room to room * inadequate light in some rooms and very confusing light switches * too much clutter

We had a party of 9 adult family members traveling from different parts of the country to celebrate our mom/grandma’s 80th birthday. From the website, this property sounded like the perfect place for us to all spend the weekend under one roof and host a small family brunch for the birthday celebration. Every part of the experience exceeded our expectations. The home was warm and cozy but also spacious and very well laid out. It was well stocked with everything we needed for comfort and enjoyment. The location and views are spectacular. Unfortunately due to the weather we were unable to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor spaces. The hosts were exceptional. They were responsive to our communications and promptly answered all questions. It is a really beautiful house that was perfect for our weekend vacation. We would love to come back when the weather is good!

We had a great time at the lake house. Fourteen of the family and we were comfortable. Too cold to enjoy the lake much, but the views are great! Had to get paper plates, etc because the dishwasher was broken. This place would be awesome in the summer!

I rented this property from Tia to host my out of state bridal party for my wedding. The house was perfect for what we needed. The backyard provided for an escape away from the busy to dos with the wedding. It was perfect, would rent again! Thank you, Tia!!!

Tia and Mike were absolutely amazing. They were so welcoming, kind, flexible and right on top of communication. Our event plans kept changing minute to minute with covid. Tia and Mike were so understanding and supportive. Without them the who event would have been a disaster. If we could give them 10 stars we would. The home is beautiful with lots of sleeping spaces, spacious kitchen, plenty of indoor seating and amenities. The lake is excellent for kayaking, a great dock with deck chairs for a quiet evening looking at the stars, cozy outdoor seating for everyone and do not forget the hot tub!! We felt like were the only people in the world at the end of the channel all tucked away from other homes. It was truly an amazing weekend and all of our friends are looking forward to renting again. No complaints!!! The house was clean and the entire property was absolutely gorgeous. The property managers were quick to respond with any questions and were very helpful. Can't wait to come back.

What a great place to stay with friends and family for a few days. The property was as described and clean. There was plenty of space for everyone and with the lake right there, plenty to do. The kitchen was spacious and well-stocked. We didn't have any problems checking in but did have a few questions. Tia was quick to respond and very helpful. +1 all around.

Owners were very accommodating at both check in and check out. House is nice, big and right on the lake. Family had a wonderful time.

The home was spacious and easily accommodated our group of 8. We really enjoyed the deck area and there was plenty of counter space in the kitchen to cook, make drinks, etc. The lake has many different birds - we saw egrets, blue heron, swans and geese and their fuzzy babies too! Tia was responsive over email, VRBO and text.

This property has it all. Large updated kitchen, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, large living room, huge outdoor sectional, a hot tub, and access to a private lake! Me and 11 friends spent a weekend here and had a great time relaxing both inside and outside. There was enough room in the backyard for us to set up cornhole and have a fire on the beach. Any issues we had were promptly answered by the owner. We would definitely return in the future!

We rented this beautiful spacious home for my graduation celebration from MSU over the past weekend. The house was amazing, and so was Tia. She was very responsive, and she made sure everything was in place. The pictures do not do the home any justice. The house was equipped and exceeded our expectations. We are very thankful for how the trip turned out and for the great hospitality. We will definitely inquire about renting this home again!

We came to Michigan for birthday celebrations, and this house was perfect with lots of space. Tia and Mike are great hosts, and were very responsive. We had an issue with one of the hot water heaters, so that was disappointing, but since there are 2 hot water tanks, we always had hot showers. We had everything we needed for meals made at the house, and when we picked up food.

I can only imagine how the summer would be here! It was a wonderful in the winter with the snow and the frozen lake! The fireplaces were also enjoyed by the whole family. Our group of adults and children ( age 3 months-10 years) greatly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and spacious. Close proximity to alpine valley for skiing/snowboarding. The lake was frozen and the kids had hours of fun on it while we watched from the warm living room. Wonderful and timely communication with the owner on several occasions. Would definitely here stay again!!!

This house was perfect for my extended family to celebrate Christmas. The home felt much bigger than pictured online. Open concept was perfect for family dinners, watching sports on the big tv and playing games in the dining room. Our party of 15 never felt crowded. Bedroom layouts are great for privacy and 4 bathrooms a plus. Well water was never an issue - did not lose water pressure, filter on the sink was great for drinking. Hot tub was fun on the cold evenings. The only minor downside of the home is that some of the bedrooms were quite cold and others very warm. We would definitely stay in Tia's home again.
