beautiful home, MikLyn were were friendly and helpful catered to my big family, 9kids and 8 adults..perfect, view n fully fenced house with big yard is a bonus especially with 1-3yr olds.. would recommend this beautiful house. we definitely coming back thank you, HENRY

Couldnt ask for a better place to stay in mangawhai! Lots of space for the adults to relax and kids to play. Not to mention there is a very short walk down to the water from the house.
Everyone in my group was very happy with the stay and said they would happily come again.
The hosts Michael and Lyn were great at communicating and were very accommodating.
Thank you again for letting us stay at your wonderful bach.

Made for groups of friends with young kids. I didn’t actually leave the place all weekend. The kids LOVED it. Plenty of room. Super handy having two kitchens and the plastic bowls/ plates for little ones was perfect. Will definitely be back.

We enjoyed many aspects of this property: 1. location to the estuary (walkway beside the property all the way to the waters edge) 2. Two well equipped kitchens/loungerooms - perfect for varying activites and conversation within the family/children groups. 3. Outdoor space with the most magnificent view!
The 'dual' home is well set up for sport watching; family games and simply relaxing around the Pizza oven. We were especially fortunate to have a weekend of 'picture perfect' weather which meant we could utilise the outdoor space and views. Loved being able to speak directly with the property owner in order to do some planning before arrival. This made arriving with a large group of 12 adults and 2 kiddies so much easier! The owner was so very helpful with all my questions. Not being from the area, she was able to give me all the necessary 'pointers' to ensure our dream weekend was a huge success!. Thank you!

Excellent spot to stay with a larger family group spanning three generations. We loved the two kitchens and two lounges, which came in handy to avoid congestion when it came to meal prep time. Clean, tiny, and well equipped kitchens were useful too! Loved the deck, pretty view, and trampoline for the kids.

We loved our stay in this Mangawhai house! The convenience of two kitchens and living rooms was ideal for our stay with extended family. The house is very well organised and cleanliness is to a top standard. Communication with the owner was easy and detailed.
The kids loved the large lawn area, trampoline and swing, keeping them busy for hours. Knowing the property is fully fenced gave us added peace of mind as well. Having the walking track down to the estuary right next door was very handy too.

Great communication from the hosts-they we're very informative and helpful.
The house was great with lots of rooms and an amazing view. The outdoor brazier and wood fired pizza oven was brilliant and the instructions were very helpful.
Great indoor outdoor flow and our group really enjoyed staying here. We would definitely come back.

There was 14 of us (3 family groups) staying for a long weekend and it is just perfect, with so much space, lovely big decks and 2 kitchens, 7 bedrooms and now with the renovations having the ensuite and lovely new family bathroom is just perfect. Great spot and lovely views.

We stayed for a wedding, with 6 children and 11 adults, and the house was able to cope with all those people easily. The large back yard (with a fantastic view) with a trampoline and (covered) sandpit was a hit with the kids keeping them out of our hair. The two kitchens also meant we could prepare multiple meals without getting in each others way.

Lovely family bach
We had such a lovely time in Mangawhai, the house is set up perfectly for families and has everything you need including a big outdoor area and trampoline for the littilies. Will definitely be coming back :)

Family gathering
A very clean, roomy property that catered to all our needs. Great outdoor space and facilities for the dogs and children to share and play. Amazing array of provisions well labelled and organised by the owners. This property exceeded our expectations. Wonderful

Great for big families
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mangawhai Heads! We are a group of 6 families with very young children and the house and property were perfect for us to all hang out together, take trips to the beach and make hand-made pizzas to cook in the outdoor wood-fired pizza oven. The property is well taken care of and has an excellent layout that means you can get alone time or all come together in the large open spaces. The owners are fantastic communicators too, accomodating our large group with an early check in. We would stay again in future :)

Great family house
Wonderful family property for everyone. 2 kitchens and plenty of rooms for my whole family. Everything well thought of, portico available, washing machine and dryers on site too. Beautiful veiw and so close to the water.

The house was spotless when we arrived. There was a great range of books, toys, and outdoor activities for the kids.
Great having the use of two kitchens/dining/lounge areas. And the bedrooms were nice and quiet for babies to sleep in during the day.
I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return one day.

Really comfortable for large group aged 1 - 65. Used the outside smoker to Roast legs of lamb , really cool. The kids and adults loved the section and views. Great location
