The home was exactly as it was described, but the pictures did not account for just how beautiful the yards are, and how peaceful Sarah’s home is. My family and I took our first trip to CA with everyone- grandparents to grandkids, and we had a wonderful time. Sarah made sure that we had everything that we needed, and was very responsive to my questions. She also took the time to create a list for 4th of July activities for us, and left some breakfast items since we arrived later in the evening. She can really give lessons on how to host! When we travel to OAK again, I will definitely check with Sarah first. You won’t regret booking with her.

This was our second stay at Sarah’s house. It’s only a few minutes from family in Piedmont and is very comfortable and a quiet neighborhood. The house works really well - 3 bedrooms - 2 baths. Good for older children too.

Quiet Rockridge neighborhood. Very comfortable house. Stayed here after quarantining with our daughter and her fiancee. She has been COVID breadmaking and the kitchen was great for all kinds of cooking. Excellent communication with Sarah.

What a wonderful stay we had!

We were greeted by our host and given a brief tour of her fabulous home. She left us with detailed instructions/notes about the property and great tips about the neighbourhood (great restaurant suggestions, where to buy groceries, coffee, etc...). The house was immaculate and really well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We were also greeted with a bottle of wine, a supply of coffee, and a delicious cake to enjoy! There was a great supply of toys, books, and craft materials for our kids. There was also a basketball hoop on the street (ball provided) that the kids loved playing with. All of the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen are beautifully renovated, and the property has lovely outdoor spaces to sit with a coffee and enjoy. The house is situated in a beautiful and safe neighbourhood. Shops, restaurants, and activities are just a short drive away. As a family of five it is often difficult to find a hotel that will accommodate our group. This house was a perfect hotel alternative. We could prepare food at home when needed, have the use of multiple bathrooms, have access to laundry, let the kids play while the adults relaxed, enjoy quiet time in the evenings while our kids slept...a perfect holiday! Our host was always easy to contact, if needed, and very pleasant to deal with. We would love to stay here again if we’re back in the area visiting.

It is a nice, clean, cozy house in a nice area. It is kind of a hilly area that is confusing to drive around, but it is fairly close to a lot of things (grocery stores, parks, the Oakland Zoo, UC Berkeley). The only issues with the house are that there are no shades on the windows and it isn't the greatest house for a dog, since there is no grassy area and there are no sidewalks around the house. If those things don't bother you, then it is quite the nice house.
