Great space, though only one bedroom, with the futon it easily accommodated my kids and I. Everything was clean and comfortable (the beds especially). I have always stayed at the hotel during holiday break, but now I'll try here first.

The property is very nice. The property is located in neat vacation area. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. We are very happy to have found such a nice place to stay.

Great property. Wonderful kitchen. Best to have a rental car for this property; it’s a mile to where you can get the shuttle. Outside of that, this was a delightful stay.

This apartment was very spacious and the full kitchen was definitely a plus. Easy parking right up to the front door makes it nice when loading and unloading our belongings. Communication was quick and easy and Glenda even gave us some personal recommendations for dining and hiking. I would definitely recommend this place! Thank you!

Had a fun weekend

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week while backcountry skiing around Girdwood. The downstairs apartment is fully loaded with everything you could need and the front room is great for gear storage. Glenda is a fantastic host and was extremely quick to respond anytime we messaged her with a question. Definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Great place with everything you need! Glenda was fantastic to work with. The futon bed was difficult to pull out and we had to hunt for the sheets/blankets for it. The bathroom is attached to the bedroom so makes it a little awkward to use in the middle of the night as you fumble through your friend’s bedroom to find the bathroom. I would caution that this is realistically a 1-bed property that might be suitable for a couple with kids or single couple, but we made it work. Great place to stay!

We are really enjoyed our stay over new year weekend ! Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking meals , beds were very comfortable and the place was very well thought through from decor to utensils. Highly recommend! We are really enjoyed our stay! The small floor plan is very functional, even for a family, and everything was clean. The bathroom and kitchen were large enough to be comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. The in floor heating kept the space very cozy.

We had so much fun in Girdwood. The property was very clean and in a great location. Glenda was quick to respond and super sweet! We would definitely recommend!!

Cute cabin vibe, perfect for a little getaway

One of the best host we have ever had. She let us know about amazing trails in the area and told us about the view point for the whale on the way up. We will definitely stay again.

Our stay inGirdwood was not the best due to illness and constant rain. However the VRBO was very comfortable and nice. We were unable to participate and some of the area activities due to weather. We. Did go to the wildlife park and go up the alyeska tram. Both of which would not much fun due to inability to visualize and take pictures of the surroundings. I would encourage people not to come in August , which we found out is Alaska rainy season. Also bring money food and activities are expensive in and around Girdwood.

The host Glenda met us when we arrived and answered any questions or concerns we had. She was very gracious, polite, and informative. There was plenty of travel info in the unit and Glenda was only a text away with any questions. . The apartment is a large unit with a private entranceway and parking area just outside the door. There is a bedroom at each end and in-between the BR's is a large comfortable living room with a completely stocked kitchen area. Plus there is a washer/dryer in a closet, which can be a valuable asset. Nothing has been left out! Location! Location! Location! Everyone says this, but when you're in AK it's seriously important! Girdwood is 35mi south of ANC and just off the Turnagain Arm. It is nestled in a mountain valley below 7 Glaciers and Alyeska Ski Resort. From this log home you are basically within a 3hr drive to almost anything you would want to see or do south of Anchorage. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back! DB/TA

Glenda and her husband were excellent hosts. They even offered to lend us their bear spray when we went hiking at the waterfalls. Even though they live above the unit, we hardly heard them.

This lovely little apartment exceeded all our expectations—I can't recommend it enough. The location is unbeatable for its proximity to both Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula, and just minutes from the Alyeska tram. The apartment is quiet and cozy, with homey touches throughout. Every comfort we needed was available, down to the spices, cookware, ziploc bags, and laundry detergent. The wifi was wicked fast and we were able to easily watch Netflix on the television. I also appreciated that there was a bathtub and plentiful hot water. We didn't need anything from our hostess since it was all thoughtfully provided, but she greeted us and saw us off and was available throughout our stay.
