Friendliness of staff, beautifully stylish & very comfortable large room. Delicious food for dinner & breakfast. The tea & coffee facilities in the room (including fresh milk in the fridge) were high quality. Toiletries in the bathroom also great.

Tiny moan about the waitress in the evening. She was hard to understand and didn't seem overly happy in her job. All other staff were fabulous. The young guy who showed us our room and was helping to serve etc in the evening was super friendly.

I think you can give a fairer review, by judging when something goes wrong and what they do about it. The floor in the bedroom, I think had been forgotten to be hoovered. On request they immediately apologised and sent someone to do it. The staff were excellent, very friendly and the food was lovely, the extension refit was very on trend and as a whole great value for money, so that's why I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

It's a beautiful old building, so the bedrooms didn't have very good sound proofing via the windows. However its a small village, so through the night, it didn't cause a problem.

Beautiful setting and premises full of character. It had all the modern facilities, a lovely shower and pleasant little touches like the goats’ milk soap, Nespresso coffee maker etc. The staff were attentive and friendly.

There was nothing to dislike

The staff at the Fox were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The property is nestled in a charming village, offering a serene and private atmosphere. The rooms were impressively clean, with comfortable beds and ample space. The staff, particularly Tina during breakfast, exemplified genuine warmth, kindness, and attentiveness. The breakfast served was superb, leaving a lasting impression. I am certain to return and will wholeheartedly recommend this place to friends and family.

Very well appointed, ex period public house extensively refurbished into a modern hotel with gastro restaurant. The hotel room was very good size with a really nice ensuite. The step in shower arrangement was extremely effective with top water pressure through a drencher and shower head. A group of us dined in the gastro restaurant and I had breakfast in the morning, the food is really well prepared, good quality but also in decent sizes, which is not always the case in such places. Pricing was extremely fair. Hotel staff extremely helpful, particularly in assisting me in securing my cycle overnight from public access.

The only two points I would criticise on is that two of the hotel rooms are converted into the eves of the roof on the third floor. Whilst the room specifications (of mine) were indicative of 4 start hotel class, well decorated, well equipped and of good size, the room, being in the roof was too warm for comfort in July. The turbo fan is too noisy even on low to keep on all night. I didn't get a good night's sleep. Price wise I felt the B&B charge was on the very high side, probably because there is not much alternative competition in the immediate area. Consequently, I was the only hotel guest that evening.

No bubble bath for the bath and bath taps were quite difficult to turn on and off. Can't think of anything else!

Great Location, Near to Winchester, Stockbridge and the rivers. Room was nice, but warm, I think they don't like to leave windows open because doves come in. Not an issue though. Staff were all excellent and very friendly. The lady serving breakfast was a gem and had lots of info on the area and fishing to share. I wish I'd got her name.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous, a stunning little village, the staff were all very friendly and gave wonderful advice on places to visit. The morning breakfast was fantastic, much more than expected!

The attention to detail and quality of the furniture, bed and fixtures, and fittings was exceptional. The staff are an asset to the business and the breakfast food quality was wonderful.

All the food, both the evening meal and the breakfast was very good. We enjoyed an opportunity to relax and enjoy good cooking, and a decent bottle of wine in a very pleasant atmosphere.

A quiet, comfortable sitting area to enjoy another cup of coffee or a drink after the meal.
