The view from the house is stunning! Overall we had a wonderful time however someone entered the house through an open window while we were gone for a short time our first night. They went through our belongings and took our phones. We reported this to the property manager who didn’t seem surprised and showed little empathy. We felt that there should be more warning that the house is easily accessible and frequented by locals. In fact we were told that the pool is often used by the locals when the house is unoccupied. The house is charming and very open. The floors are made of cement and polished smooth. The house has many openings to the outside that cannot be closed and one night there was a big storm which caused water to seep into the house at the base of the stairs and we slipped on several occasions; my husband fell once hurting his knee. There were no mats etc and we ended up having to place bathroom towels on the floor to soak up the water and prevent us from slipping. Given how significant the storm was, I would have been nice surprised if the property manager would have checked in on us. The storm caused the pool to fill with significant muddy downpour, which made it impossible to use until it was treated. The top two bedrooms are difficult to reach for anyone with mobility issues and the walk way is open the elements, which can get wet and become slippery. Lastly the property has very poor water pressure.

Great communication from host; proper amenities; charming design. Spend your days bouncing between infinity pool with baja ledge, to the North Sayulita beach which feels private. Recommend getting a golf cart for an easy ride to town for the best al pastor of your life.

My partner and I stayed at Casa Kiara with our three young adult children. It was the kids' first time in Mexico. We loved the house, the beach, the pool, Sayulita and everything about our week! I had stayed at Casa Kiara 19 years ago when I was pregnant with my youngest....it was wonderful to be back and to share the magic of the place with her! We won't wait another 19 years to visit again.....Thank you so much!

This is an amazing property with a great location. I loved, loved, loved the ocean front view.

Casa kiara was amazing. The view of the beach from everywhere in the house, steps to the warm ocean with great sand. The infinity pool was great and the outside space was really nice. The rooms had AC and fans too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I will be coming again.

We loved our stay at Casa Kiara. My teens and I had so much fun relaxing at this gorgeous property... it is out of the hoopla of the main beach in Sayulita but a short beach walk or golf cart ride in to town. My teens loved the "treehouse" feel and the open bathroom upstairs! I loved relaxing outside and watching the kids play in the waves. We made daily use of the boogie boards... my favorite activity was a sunset swim every night. This is the perfect house for a relaxing family getaway. We will definitely be returning. Jewel was very kind and accommodating, as was the lovely gardener who came daily. Both were eager to answer my questions about the area and to give me tips on navigating the very steep hill to the house in the golf cart!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Casa Kiara was perfect. The property manager Jewel was always attentive and answered my many questions right away and so did the owner Sue-Ann prior to the stay. Perfect for 3 couples with a king in each room. Recommend hiring Gladys to make breakfast in the mornings. Loved Sayulita, great town with kind people. No one is in a hurry and so many places to explore. House is in nice area, quick walk beachside to town or rent a golf cart which was also part of the adventure. Looking forward to going back

Amazing location and very cool layout. Lots of lounge chairs and beach chairs to enjoy pool and beach. Everyday made good use of 4 provided boogie boards. The company suggested by the owner for airport transportation and golf cart rental was great - very glad we didnt rent a car. We spent the day on a catamaran with Alley Cat which was outstanding - saw tons of whales very close to boat. Also saw whales right out in front of the house. Wonderful experience with owner, staff, house, and locations. Highly recommend.

Family of 6 stayed at Casa Kiara for xmas 2021 and had a blast! The house was perfect for our size group, outdoor area is amazing, and the sunsets can't be beat! Our kids enjoyed boogie boarding, whale watching right from our chairs in front of the pool, and walks into town (so close) for tacos! This was our second time staying at Casa Kiara and would definitely stay again. Owners and manager are great to work with. Sarah

Casa Kiara is a beautiful retreat and is great for adults. The property manager, Jewel, was extremely responsive and had our minor issues fixed immediately. There are some key things you should know about this casa! There are a lot of stairs and is not handicap accessible. It is open. Meaning there are walls and windows that are not closed off. This invites all the bugs and critters in. You do have a net around your bed but it does not zip up so you will have friends crawling on you. You must rent a golf cart to go into town. Unless you want to walk steep hills! The third bathroom is the tree house bathroom, and it is wide open. There is no door to the bathroom and there are no windows to close. You sit on the toilet and have an amazing view of the beach and ocean but if there’s anyone down on the beach looking up at you, they will see you. These items above shouldn’t deter you from booking this place but should be used to help you prepare for your trip!

This home was so much fun! The decor was uplifting and colorful, and the views were simply amazing. My two teens loved having their own spaces upstairs in the palapa bedrooms and open air bathrooms! The staff was so helpful, and we loved our dinner cooked by Gladis. One thing that we were surprised about is how loud the neighborhood was. We had hoped that being at the end of town might yield a more peaceful stay, but we could not have been more wrong. The houses next to this one are also vacation rentals, and people come here to party! Every night (and day) except for one, there was loud music and singing into the wee hours. We let our property manager and owner know, but since there is no enforceable noise ordinance there was really nothing they could do. One party responded to our pleas to turn down the music when I knocked on their door at 1:00 am, but the others did not. It impacted our ability to enjoy the pool, to listen to our own music, to hear the sounds of the waves at night, and to watch a movie in the living room. We spend most of our time in town because of this.

The architecture & vibe of this home is everything it appears to be in the pictures. We had two families there and it worked really well. We had plenty of space and enjoyed all the incredible colors, stone paths, beautiful tropical flowers and art. Sayulita is so fun & we LOVE the art, vendors, bars. We felt really safe & it was so fun being near the jungle. The hosts and staff are very gracious. Do it!!!!

This home is even more beautiful in person! We spent most of our time in the pool and on the beach. It is nice because it’s away from the hustle and bustle but renting a cart makes it easy to zip into town. All of the rooms are amazing and the upstairs patio was great. Highly recommend this casa!

Casa Kiara was even more spectacular in person than on the photos. If you like staying in an open air-artsy tree house with a view, then this house is for you. Sue-Ann and Jewel were amazing and helpful. Everything was easy and clean. Im already trying to figure out how to come back!

Such a great location! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and didn’t want to leave when it was time to move to our next location. You cannot beat the location of this place-beach front and a private pool!

We had a wonderful week over New Year's at Casa Kiara! The house is in a perfect location on the quiet north end of Sayulita beach, which was much needed during the busy holiday season. The house worked great for our family of 4 with two teens. Everybody had lots of space and we loved the fun character of the house. Being upstairs is like being in a tree house -- great open air living! The decor is lovely and we had all the amenities we needed. Eric was there when we arrived to get us settled in, and provided support during our stay when we had questions about the house or local activities. Gladys cooked us a delicious meal one evening. We ended up renting a golf cart for part of our stay -- not absolutely needed as the walk to town either along the beach or the road is 15-20 minutes, but doing it 2-3 times a day is more than we wanted. I would definitely recommend Casa Kiara to anyone wanting a relaxing home base during a trip to Sayulita!

Sue the owner and Eric the property manager bend over backwards to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Due to many delays American Airlines, we arrived a day late. No problem. Eric had a car waiting for us at the airport and a golf cart ready at the Villa. Very clean and the pool and location on the ocean magnificent. Thanks Sue for your generosity...

Casa Kiara is beautiful and well cared for. When you walk in, you will realize that the photos were great but the real thing is waaay better! There are 3 king sized suites and a well appointed kitchen. The pool is lovely, too! Eric is the very attentive property manager and he is available by phone or text to answer any questions and set up any activities you might want to do. Casa Kiara is at the very north end of town - we walked in to town on the beach and took a cab for the return trip. You can also rent a golf cart - but parking can be a challenge in town.

Before booking, you need to know where you're going. This is one of the farther houses from town. Renting a golf cart takes care of this if you see this as an issue. It is on a steep hill, but nothing the golf cart couldn't handle. Mosquitoes in the area are savage, but this isn't something the house can really fix, just know this going in - you'll either need bug repellent or just deal with the mosquitoes. A/C was a lot better than expected, better than most of the restaurants and shops you'll visit in town, as long as you keep the rooms closed during the day to cool. We had an issue with the hot water tank, but they were able to send somebody over right away, I'm not a handyman at all - I did locate the water heater tank, but didn't know a pilot light had to be turned on. The wind had blown it out, so the house handyman (very responsive, great person) came by and fixed it for us while we were out getting coffee. Overall, very responsive, nice, and just a great house to get away. Perfect for people looking for a private, intimate retreat.

Believe it or not, the pictures do not even do this property justice. There is no way that you could beat the views, location, city, Eric the property manager and the owners of Casa Kiara! Perfect for our family of 4 with two teenage boys and also a perfect set up for 3 couples on vacation with the 3 master bedrooms. The house is set nicely away from town but still a very quick golf cart ride over or a 15 minute walk down the beach. Abraham the pool guy came almost everyday and he kept the pool ultra clean along with the back patio which is where we spent a majority of our time. The ambiance, people and food in the town of Sayulita were fantastic all around. Our best experience was actually riding horses down a private beach which was a dream come true. We felt very safe the entire trip and would greatly recommend it for anyone looking to escape to a tropical paradise on the beach.

We had a wonderful stay. Properly manger was attentive and friendly. The house was as described. We loved lounging in the pool and watching the sunset. Location was perfect, close enough to walk or take a golf cart to town...but far enough from the noise of the evening festivities. Found a few great places to eat, Mary’s and La Rustica were our favorites. We took the Fat Cat from Ally Cat Sailing and surfed with Lunaazul.! Wonderful house for a wonderful town and great adventures!

We had an amazing time at Sue-Ann's property. The house manager Eric was so helpful and very responsive for anything we needed. We were attending a wedding so many of our friends had houses next to us and in the area and I must say our place was everyones favorite spot and by far and the best pool. The Gardner and house keeper were also wonderful to have around. They kept the place very clean everyday and we had the house keeper cook amazing enchiladas at a great price. We loved each of the unique bedrooms and the outdoor bathroom on the 2nd floor was EPIC. It's the perfect distance away from town and on one of the best parts of the beach.

My family and I stayed at Casa Kiara for 5 nights. Located on the Northern end of the beach it is peaceful and private. There is plenty of space and has a very open plan living area. We watched many a magical sunset from the amazing infinity pool and with the beach is just a few steps away it made for a relaxing experience. Eric was there to greet us and was in constant contact when we had any queries. The location is just a 15-20 minute walk into town, with an enormous choice of restaurants. A true Mexican experience.

Our family of 6 adults loved our stay in this unique and beautiful home on the beach. The location was ideal. We were a 15 min walk away from charming downtown Sayulita, a driveway away from a picturesque hiking trail to secluded beaches and an ambitious trek to the neighboring town of San Pancho. The pounding of the surf was very loud but we acclimated. Mosquito repellent recommended.

'Busy doing nothing, working the whole day through, trying to find lots of things not to do'. The days slipped by in this dreamy paradise - watching the sea to make sure the waves didn't stop, keeping an eye out for turtles and whales and dolphins. Quality testing the local 'Raicilla', eating good Mexican food, checking the sky for clouds, testing the water temperate - exhausting really! Lovely Casa, great position, beautiful beach - nice and safe to walk along the beach into town, great little beach bar 15 minutes walk away.

Fantastic house with all the amenities, wonderful place for a Mexican getaway and perfectly suited for 3 couples. Pool and outdoor area could not have been better as well as all living spaces. We had the best time and plan to stay again next year! Property owner, property manager and housekeeper were over the top helpful and made our stay one to remember. Casa Kiara was such a joy for our family! The location is amazing... situated on the best possible part of the beach to the north of town. Although we had a golf cart, we opted to walk thru town or down the beach into town at least once every day. Everything was well appointed, and we had a especially terrific time hanging on the outdoor patio and pool and (very clean) beach all right at our fingertips! It was a very comfortable place with plenty of space for everyone. We had 2 adults and 4 teens 16-18. The property manager was prompt, thorough and very helpful as well! We will most certainly be requesting to stay here again!
