Die Villa Santa Fe ist das Schwesterhotel der Villa Francisco # 284641, unserem anderen 5-Sterne-Hotel, und der Alta Vista # 1221639, unserem neuesten 3-Schlafzimmer-Apartment mit drei Bädern, das sich in demselben privaten, geschlossenen und sicheren Gebäude befindet. Es besteht aus 5 Schlafzimmern mit Kingsize-Betten und drei mit Whirlpool-Wannen und verfügt über sieben 7 Badezimmer. Die Villa hat auch ein Dampfbad. I have very mixed feeling about my stay.... There were a number of issues that were addressed directly with the property manager at the end of my stay that I hope they will address with future guests.
Issues Addressed:
- There was no hot water for the majority of our stay
- Complete random strangers, roamed into the property unannounced on one of the days. Somehow they were let into the security gate by property owners
- Plumbing Issues
- Daily laundry service was not facilitated as agreed upon
- Poor Wifi Connectivity
- None of the activities requested in advance to book were booked or any effort made to do so
- We requested the use of the golf cart on property to get up and down the 150ft driveway leading up to the villa. Our requests were never responded to and getting in and out of the property was quite the workout each time
- There was a large amount of ants in and around the property
As mentioned, the above issues were addressed directly with the property manager at the end of our stay. The owner and property manager did make an effort to rectify some of the issues with a nominal concession/reduction in food/beverage costs.

It's hard to describe such a fabulous experience!
The house is amazing. The view of the city is the "Best" in Vallarta; and chef Tina prepares meals that are better than some of the top restaurants.
No matter what you needed, Tina could provide it.

What an amazing stay. We were a large group of 10 and I can’t Raven enough about what a wonderful stay we had. The booking process was seamless, check-in was great and easy, and even cocktails upon our arrival. All of the attention to detail does not go unnoticed by us. Chef Tina and her staff were sweet and friendly with great food. Last-minute requests by our crazy group or for filled with ease. Thanks for an amazing vacation and we look forward to coming back and staying with you.

Our group of 10 just loved this house! Richard and his team did a superb job making a beautiful stay for us in his beautiful house and location, starting with fresh guac and margaritas when we arrived. This is now our favorite spot in PV to stay with a larger group!

The property is very nice. The staff was disappointing. The concierge and head chef appeared too busy or uninterested. The only people who were helpful were the two sisters who did all the cooking and presenting. The house was very nice, the staff did not appear to be happy being there. It definitely affected my attitude.

Staying at Villa Santa Fe was the highlight of our vacation in Puerto Vallarta. The food was excellent. The staff and service were friendly, courteous and easy going. Our questions/issues were handled professionally and the team was eager to make our stay as enjoyable and fun as possible. As always, communicate proactively with the staff to avoid surprises.

We are a 3 generation family of 9 and spent a wonderful week at Villa Santa Fe.
First of all the Pros:
Villa Santa Fe is gorgeous. Beautifully designed, well appointed, very nice art work throughout. Many water features (fountains and waterfalls) throughout the house. It is on top of a cliff with fabulous views overlooking the bay and the town from the deck and infinity pool. It is like staying in a private 5* hotel.
The staff is amazing. Toni the manager/concierge was available and extremely helpful with everything from reservations for activities or restaurants to getting taxis and whatever else we needed.
Tina, the chef, and her staff were fantastic. Great meals prepared according to our dietary needs and desires. We had mostly Mexican cuisine but I think Tina could do whatever guests wanted. They took care of everything related to the kitchen in a seamless fashion. Could not have asked for more.
Now for the cons:
These would not be deal breakers but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time. The Villa is at the top of a cliff and the driveway from the street is extremely steep with 2 hairpin switchbacks. The younger people in our group could manage to walk to the town and back, but the drive was way too steep for the older people to manage by foot. Also because it is above the main road into and out of the town it is very noisy day and night. Some of us were able to sleep through the noise, others were not.
The internet access from the house was slow and irregular. If you were near the main router in the living room you could get some internet access, but away from the router was very spotty to absent. I am not sure if this is a problem of the house or the city or Mexico's broadband infrastructure. There are smart/internet TVs in living room and bedrooms but not enough bandwidth to really watch streaming services. If watching TV is important, I would recommend either bringing DVDs or downloading to a laptop or other device and casting to the TV. That said, many of us got a lot of reading in which was very nice.
All in all it was an excellent experience.

This is a gorgeous home with spectacular architectural details throughout! We stayed for 6 nights with our best friends and enjoyed relaxing by the pool, beautiful sunsets, and plenty of pampering. Chef Tina and her team prepared delicious meals for us with our specific requests so that we never had to go into town unless we wanted to do activities or shopping. Tonie, the house manager, helped us get airport transportation, taxis as needed, and arranged in-home massages for all of us. I recommend booking all your taxi needs through her because the house is on a steep hill and most taxi or Ubers won’t come all the way to the front entrance. The only thing that was a challenge is the road noise—this house sits right above the main road and we heard loud traffic day and night, which made it hard to get good rest. It’s no fault of the house or the staff, it’s just a fact of the location. Most of the rooms do not have curtains or just have sheers, so if you like to sleep in the dark you’ll need to bring a blackout mask. The plus side of no curtains is stunning night views of downtown PV—the cityscape and fireworks nightly can be viewed right from your bed!

We had a great time. The property was everything we had hoped for. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were great with plenty of space. The customer service makes this place unique. Toni and the staff are so responsive. They respond immediately. It was so convenient and helpful having Toni arrange transportation for us. She even helped us order pizza one afternoon. The chef prepared the best dishes. It was so nice waking up to breakfast on the patio. They even made breakfast the day we departed. The staff are so nice and helpful. We really had the best time. It was clean, safe, beautiful, and convenient. This is a great property to experience.

The property is the great, excellent staff, and the pool was amazing! The one downside is the property is up a very large steep hill, so be prepared if you have anyone elderly or out of shape, even some of the Ubers wouldn't take us up the hill to get to the house, and there were no stairs so driveway it is.
The property Manager was great, and set up all our events that were outside the city with transportation, Staff and Cook were great and were able to accommodate our group request.

Trip of a Lifetime
Richard was very accommodating to allow us to reschedule a trip from last year due to Covid. I got to celebrate my 50th birthday for the second year in a row. The best part of the trip was Tina the chef. Her and her team outdid themselves night after night. I can't say enough how much the group enjoyed this trip. I can see why people come back year after year.

Highly Recommend!
We rented all three of Richard's villas (Francisco, Sante Fe, Alta Vista) simultaneous for a large group and it could not have worked out any better. Sante Fe was our main gathering house. Richard, Tina, and Tonie greeted us with fresh margaritas and snacks upon check-in, gave us a tour of all the villas, and helped arrange all shopping and meals ahead of time. We did breakfast every day as a group and dinner every other night. Tina's food was amazing and the best meals we had all trip. We even had additional guests next door at Paramount Bay that Tina was able to accommodate for meals. I highly recommend a stay at any of the villas. Just give your taxi drivers some encouragement to go up the drive way and it should be no problem.

Best Trip we've ever taken!!
Words don't do the Villa Santa Fe justice. This home is simply amazing! We were 5 adult couples, old friends, traveling together for the first time. We could not have asked for more than this villa provided. When you first arrive and take in the view from the poolside patio and take a tour of the villa, you immediately know you made the right choice. This home encompasses luxury and feels like a tropical paradise, everywhere you look..
From checking-in with Tonie, planning groceries and supplies with Tina, Patricia and the rest of the cleaning crew doing laundry and cleaning up after us while somehow remaining out of our way (quite a task in itself), to chatting daily with Tonie for planning excursions and dealing with challenges... the staff is even more impressive than the house itself.. We could not have asked for more.
If ever we had an issue or a question, Tonie and Richard were on the spot with solutions and answers.in the blink of an eye. Not only were we able to vacation in this beautiful mansion, but the team working for the villa was there when you need them and invisible when you do not. It was just perfect. Plain and simple. The ONLY downside when renting this villa is eventually you will have to leave and return to real life... and you have grown accustomed to being spoiled in paradise... lol
If I could give this property 6 stars, I would. I would rent the Villa Santa Fe again in a heartbeat!

Highly Recommend!
From start to finish our vacation was amazing. Toni was super communicative before, during and after our stay and helped us with all of our random requests/ excursions throughout the week. Chef Tina was wonderful! Her food is amazing and she is hilarious to boot! Pack your sneakers because the driveway is a doozy, but totally worth it for the views when you make it up! The villa is exactly like the pictures- just wonderful! We will be back! :)

Amazing Villa!
We just returned from our week staying at Villa Santa Fe and it was nothing short of fantastic! The house is as you see in the pictures - breathtaking views everywhere you look. But what really stands out is the service provided by the entire team. Owner Richard greeted us upon arrival with margaritas, chips, salsa, guac, and appetizers. From there it just got better. Chef Tina is not only an amazing chef, but so much fun every time she's in the house preparing brunch or dinners. Everyone in our group kept commenting on how incredible every meal was. We literally only went out for dinner once and had every other meal in the villa. They accommodated my husband's 50th birthday party with a large buffet by the pool in the afternoon and then a sit-down dinner for 20. You'd think they do that every day with the precision in execution. I can't recommend Villa Santa Fe enough and we'll definitely be back!

Great house, great views, great staff
Wonderful house with lots of space inside and out. Views are gorgeous (though we didn't really have a sunset this time of year). Pool is great and heated. The water falls and fountains are a fun feature. The staff was really responsive and the food was great. All the bedrooms are great. Be ready to hike up a long driveway when you get home, but we didn't mind the walk a couple times a day.

Richard and Tina were excellent hosts throughout our stay. The views were spectacular and we had the perfect view of the bay for the fireworks on NYE. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful property close to downtown PV
We really loved our stay at this property! The home staff and chef Tina served up delicious main course meals with dessert with any request. The concierge helped us plan any taxi or reservations needed. The one request we would have would be to install a large mirror on the road to see oncoming traffic as the crossing into town was a bit dangerous.

Incredible escape from reality
My husband and I enjoyed an incredible escape from reality of juggling kids, cleaning, laundry and cooking with 3 other couples/friends. Tina the chef made the most amazing meals and was a fantastic concierge on recommending restaurants for the few nights out we were looking for. Toni did a wonderful job communicating, booking transportation for us and ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone and hope to make it back throughout the years.

A week in paradise
We came with the family (all adults) for a post Covid vacation and it was amazing! We looked at the pictures and thought they must be photoshopped but it really was spectacular. Richard and chef Tina were wonderful! She heard my daughter say I liked mangos and the seeds and we had them for several meals. There are a lot of steps to the levels and the driveway is very steep! We had a few cabs that couldn’t make it up! We scheduled many activities (scuba diving, ATV, zip lining, etc.) but our favorite activity was watching the sunset from the infinity pool with a margarita! we will be back!

When we return to PV with 5 friends or more, we will not stay at any other location. Our friends are amazed and envious of the photos we are sharing upon our return. Pictures do not do this place justice. The best part of the villa cannot be captured in pictures. The people!!! Richard, Tina and Toni along with the staff. They made our trip perfect. Working with Richard before the trip was extremely easy. Toni made planning the pre-arrival grocery stocking simple and everything from arranging airport transfers, car services for outings, dinner reservations, and excursions was completely handled. Toni arranged COVID testing for our return to the US at the Villa. Tina and her staff put the WOW in our vacation. Chef Tina is amazing. We had breakfast every morning and she created special dinners 3 nights we were there. (We went out for 3 dinners and had Tina's dinners 3 nights). Tina’s culinary skills were superb and having her there was like having a long-lost friend with us. She is the best.The photos on VRBO of the Villa they are 100% accurate. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us on our trip. You could easily add several more people and still had adequate space. The location is perfect, only a short walk into town and the beach. Using Uber or cabs were low cost and simple. When in PV you can do a lot of walking and there are lots of steps, hills, and cobble stone streets. If you are not up for that type of walking just use uber or a cab. We loved the walking. The views from the villa are breathtaking. simply awesome
This place is sweet. We travel twice a year for roughly two weeks at a time and the wives say... we HAVE to have a pool!!! Well this was the best pool we have ever had. We travel all over Mexico and Hawaii and this was the bomb! The owners are awesome, the chefs/food was awesome and we loved the staff that they have there as well. Do yourself a favor and book this place.

We have stayed at many villas over the past 10 years but none of them come close to comparing to this villa. The pool is great, the views are spectacular, the food is 5 star and the owners are incredible. If you’re trying to decide on a villa in PV, stop your search and book this place before it’s not available. The attention to detail throughout the unit is exceptional.
