Environment

The element of the tree house was pretty unique of an experience.

Location was not ideal. Public means of transport were hard to access and even taxis would not reach the location (the temple near the hotel). We would have to get the ferry to the other side and then taxi in order to where we wanted.

Enjoyed the loaner bicycles, liked the room very much, food was good. This hotel might not be for everyone (a bit of a walk from ferry terminal, entering room through bathroom and steep climb to bedroom), but I was happy.

This hotel is absolutely stunning and the work that has gone into designing the rooms is unreal! They are architectural wonders and the surroundings in Bangkrajao are amazing. The staff here are wonderful and the restaurant serves some of the best food I have ever eaten in Thailand and I have lived in Bangkok for many years. Incredibly friendly, helpful service and the staff speak amazing English. Amazing two day getaway from the city in an an absolutely mesmerising room that is SOOOOOOOO worth the money

Breakfast was as we requested. The design style is unique in BKK and a nice modern look. AC works. Small fridge. The bed was comfortable.

We arrived in the dark. The walk to the tree house is further than they say. Complicated and pitch black. Very hard to locate and not well sign posted. On arrival the restaurant was closed. We couldn’t have a drink. Even though the man was standing in the bar. The room was not at all functional. The toilet is next to the kitchen area. With no door. Which is unsanitary. No sink either so you wash your hands in the kitchen sink which is a fancy design but doesn’t function - it sprays all over you. The stairs are lethal - a very odd design and dangerous with a child. There is one hanging rack with only 2 hangers. There is shelf storage. The main issue is location. When we couldn’t get any dinner I asked about local shops / restaurants. Nothing. The ferry across the river is very cheap which is great. But it goes to an industrial area of a petrol refinery. It is about one hour to useful tourists parts of Bangkok. It would be a nightmare to get a taxi to the airport for instance. We chose to move location for ease of sight seeing, travel and comfort.

The room and rooftop was beautiful. The location is amazing and I loved the free access to bicycles and the honesty bar. The staff were friendly and the large outdoor shower was incredible. Breakfast was wonderful and the whole experience was great.

The stairs in the room are hard to walk up and awkward. OK for me, but may not be for older people or those with leg/knee issues.
