Everything about this Hotel is great - food excellent, handy location, rooms spacious and clean, all the staff were all too pleased to do everything they could for you and the atmosphere around the whole set up was perfect. No complaints about anything at all.

Everything - quality of room, food (breakfast is excellent). The hotel’s restaurant and menu was really very good and VFM. The customer service and helpfulness and friendliness of all staff . A great stay.

There is nothing not to like

Location, facilities. In very hot sticky weather it was a huge relief to have a cool lounge.

The hotel is lovely, being picky, the pillows were very hard and slim, next time I will definitely take my own to ensure comfort & sleep . The aircon hummed even when turned off.

TV kept cutting out. Towels not changed every day. No muesli. Long walk to town.

I don’t like having to climb into the bathtub for the shower I think it’s dangerous. I don’t like shower curtains for the same reason plus they are not hygienic.

Dear rooms but quality was reflected in price, stained carpets, scraped walls, shower didn't work, cheap toiletries and small beds and poor quality pillows.

Great location. 10 minute walk from seafront and shops. Room was spacious comfortable & clean.

The public areas were very hot, heating on full even though outside temperature was 20 degrees We arrived to check in at 2.45 and without even asking our name was told we would have to go back at 3 as this was the official check in time. Barman was quite surly and he questioned my drink choice. I asked for Gin & Lemonade and he said 'really are you sure you want lemonade in gin?'

The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and professional at all times making us feel relaxed and at home. On arrival we left our car reg with reception to enable us to explore the town and area. The breakfast is excellent with good choice of foods, drinks and service.

An absolutely amazing building

Dirty hot tub bits in it and grime all round the side an not very hot.

On first arrival at 1pm the hotel itself seemed very nice, well laid out, although staff were not very helpful or friendly at first and proved extremely rigid; we sat in the lounge and had lunch (great food) whilst we waited for 3pm to check in. We thought the breakfast was excellent.

When we eventually checked into our wheelchair accessible room, we knew instantly the room was not big enough (could not use a small manual wheelchair to move around room) and bathroom was not adequate to carry out essential 'daily' medical procedures, we made staff aware immediately. The sink was not a standard size it was a small utility/hand-wash sink at wheelchair height (Very difficult to even fill the kettle with water never mind deal with medical equipment or for the Carer to have a wash). There was not other room to move us to, the customer service, empathy compassion and understanding was non existent!!! We were categorically told no matter what we'd have to pay for the first night, so we stayed the first night to try it out, it was impossible to carry out the medical procedures, there was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom (no shelf, nothing). The wet room shower was less than acceptable, it did not drain properly (we were provided with a mop - even using that, the water just sat in yellow pool) the shower head was attached to the grab rail for use?! with a high level spray above which was impossible to use. After we'd stayed the 1st night, we went to breakfast then immediately to reception to check out and be refunded, absolutely no apology what-soever. We had to then find alternative accessible accommodation at very short notice (not easy). The Yarrow may well be a training hotel, which is brilliant, however the customer service issues, need addressing - we certainly were not on our own in this opinion!

Perfect location to get to the beach and restaurants - 0.5 mile walk. Friendly staff. Clean.

Air con in room did not work well. Either very hot or very cold. Average buffet breakfast, hot food was cold and toaster burned the toast. Pillows in the room were terrible and like thin rocks.
