Old venicean style hotel,good location and clean.

No complaints.

For a one night stay and mostly for a home base, this was perfect! In the end, I wasn't placed in a room in hotel Diana, but hotel panda across the alley. I didn't realize they were tied together so I was waiting for someone at reception to take my bags because I arrived early and check -in is 2pm. I had some snacks and after 30min left a note with my luggage. It was another guest who came to check in who let me know that some reviews indicated this. It was fine because a little rest worked out, but this is the reason I couldn't give this a full excellent experience. The location is absolutely perfect. I couldn't have been much closer to the main attraction in Piazza San Marco and the palace. It was clean. It has AC. The facilities are modest and the fixtures are old, but excellent value for the location. It also serves a breakfast, which I haven't tried yet. But the staff, once I found them, were wonderful. I'd take your passport with you though when you leave your luggage. My luggage was exactly where I left it, but it was not in a secured room but in the lobby for the day.

The location is excellent, just near San Marco. So you can enjoy Venice till late at night and then quickly return back. The room is small, but very cute , stylized in Venetian baroque. The room and bathroom were clear. Check in was in the hotel in front of our hotel. We weren’t informed about that. It’s better for the hotel to note that in the confirmation. The breakfast is also served in the hotel in front. It was not lavish, but fresh and enough for a quick meal. So I can recommend it for a short stay.

The absence of information about check-in in other hotel. The sewage is old , but this problem is everywhere in old houses.

Air didn’t work in room. was very warm and left window open for short time mosquitoes came in and bit us through the night A night staff member was very rude and unwilling to solve our issue. Won’t be back.

Let me start with I left this hotel first thing in the morning after spending one night in it. After detecting mold I immediately booked another hotel. For 2 nights I booked this hotel without refund. I didn't care about that money because my health comes first. When I arrived at the hotel I thought it was cute because it's old fashioned, antique look. Very nice. When I enter my room it was smelly nd I thought maybe because everything was closed it smelled like that, did also notice that the air-conditioning wasn't working. After leaving the doors a few minutes open I left for a walk nd came back. Same smell, I opened the doors again before going to bed. After a few hours I realized this is the smell of damp walls and mold. So I start looking for mold and found it. I wouldn't be surprised if it is behind the paper walls too. As a astma patient I was afraid to get allergic reactions.  So if you have any long issues or breathing problems I recommend you to stay away from this hotel. Even if you don't have any, mold can get you respiratory problems/infections. So if you have any health issues or breathing problems I recommend you to stay away from this hotel! small cramped room with old furniture

Very good location. It is by S. Marco 's square and it makes very convenient the touristic promenades. But beware, in case of high water, remember that S. Marco is one of the lowest areas in the city. My room had a beautiful terrace, though; hadn't we had rain, it would have been great. The general decoration was very beautiful: classy and elegant at a time.

I did not like: the bed: composed by two mini- matresses, very old, very soft, no resistance to the body at all. Furthermore, the separation between both was more and more evident during the night. To reach the room there was lift to the 3rd floor and then a very high-slope spiral stair. I had no problem with it, but this is not for everyone.

The Hotel is in the middle of the city, Markusplatz is just a 2 minutes walk. The receptionists where lovely and always joking. :) The room was tiny, but for one night it's enough. Everything was clean. The breakfast is okay. You get everything you need.

We liked the hotel's location, and it was close to Saint Marks Square and other sites. Most of the tourist sites were within 20min walking distance. There were many restaurants for use to choose from.

The hotel was dilapidated due to its age. The breakfast didn't have a selection. For someone who doesn't eat ham, all I had was some cereal or cousins.

There are many problems in this Hotel. First of all, l sent a message before check-in ''how can l get the room? Will you be reception or l will enter with codes?'' Nobody answered my message. I sent the second message, and third but did not receive any response. It was very annoying property is annoying you. Standard breakfast 3 days in a row the same breakfast nothing special. I don't recommend it at all! After l paid for the Hotel, they asked for additional money to pay at the check-in desk. They said if l don't pay this additional money they are not going to give me the key. I was shocked, very professionally they are stealing from you. When l asked why l paid this money? They said it's tax and you have to pay tax because you stay in Venice. Come on man everybody pays tax and nobody asks the guest to pay their tax. It was very annoying to pay additional money. The bed was not comfortable at all. Although the room temperature was cold, l could not raise the temperature myself. Radiators stop working after 20 degrees. The hotel definitely has potential, but I guess because it is a tourist city, no one cares about these shortcomings. My suggestion to the hotel is if you include the tax in the price, your customers will not have to pay additional money and will not be bothered.

Location

The room was absolutely unique, and, inspite of the central location, completely quiet at night. The location was nice. The hotel feels grandly historic. Lovely wooden beams on the ceiling and rich decoration. It's Venice! Great value for the price. Bathroom modernized and clean.

Staff seems a little bit stressed, but I assume they are understaffed and were nice enough to hide it well. Hairdryer needs an update.
