Everything was good

The location was great, centrally located near shops and restaurants.

Except for the man who greeted us on the first day, the staff was extremely unhelpful. We asked for help with the heating in the room and they said they’ll get back to us, never did. We got no sleep because we had to keep the balcony door open to cool the room. The place is located next to clubs and the music went on till early hours of the night. This basically ruined our nights sleep and the experience overall. The room walls were made of what felt like fibre glass, which heated the room up and the Ac didn’t work either. The rooms were shabbily cleaned as well.

The property felt close to everything. I loved my view and terrace and the staff were very nice. The room itself was clean and had all the basics. It’s walkable and there plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

I didn’t have toilet paper in my room (just a bidet) which felt unusual even for Europe! The hotel itself was in a very central area, so it can be very loud through the wee morning hours. The breakfast felt a little half-hearted compared to others I’ve had in the area. These are just small things. I did enjoy my stay.

The hotel is located in very center of Taksim area of Istanbul with nice view to Bosporus (from top floors) Service is very good, as well as facilities. Clean and comfortable. Good sleeping quality despite to late night street noise. Receptionist Ismail Abi is very helpful

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The location was great! Rooms were comfortable, aircon was a big bonus. Staff were excellent!! would recommend staying here :))

Great location on Istiklal boulevard, great view from the balcony over the sea, comfortable bed, coffee and tea served any time during the day. Great staff offered a lot of help with everything we needed, including safe parking place on a good price and close to the hotel. It is not a fancy hotel, but a fair deal for the price given the location.

Nothing significant to complain.

The staff were super nice, they gave us a free upgrade to a bigger room.

Facility is little dated and it could use some renovations. Power outlets were loose, facets were little rusty and some lime mold were starting on the bathroom tiles.

I had a really lovely stay. Ismail the reception staff is really lovely and helped us so much when we woke up late for our flight home!!!

Comfortable Location in the center of Istiklal street. Not good that every time you will come back from the water side, you will be really tired because Istiklal and Hotel are higher than the sea. Every day we climbed a lot.) Anyway location is ok.

Really really loud! No soundproofing by windows or doors. You will hear all the music and talks from the top floors near the roof. So difficult to sleep. Dirty. No clean under the bad, no clean behind the table or sofa. Dirty front sides of bedside table. It seems and smells like every day cleaning use floor rag to clean every detail in room. Broken furniture and shower. Bad room repair. Photo is not actual. Huge price for that type of hotel.

smoky at the hallway at 5th floor hairs on towels, ripped towels. thin pillows, hairs in bed, found a little spider in bed. no ashtray at the balcony

the cleanliness wasn’t at the expected level, the AC was very noisy when operating, and the kettle was so rusty I couldn’t use it properly

the best of the best. it is always clean, the fresh and nutritious meals in this place. the beds are super confortables and it has a fresh smels. all people working here are friendly and support to You in any situations. at sunset the view from balcon are incredible amazing. really West Palace Hotel is my second home.

location was the main advantage. breakfast was so-so

old guy at reception was not friendly (banged my luggage when i was claiming it) but the younger staff were accommodating small shower. shampoo and body wash were recycled from previous guests. room slippers were very old and yellowish. doorway was filled with boxes (fore hazard since it blocked the exit door). not value for money unless you are after location. i moved to another better hotel.

Location. The balcony is also a good feature for the tiny rooms. Actually, there is a sea view (if the air is clear enough) It was not so noisy as others complained , having in mind the location, near the biggest, shopping street.

The room was not as promised. Instead of tho beds there was one and additional extensible bed as a "compliment". But there was not place left to step . Breakfast is a dish with sliced products like cheese, salami, etc... Not worth it.

Too load outside!

We were in Turkey when the bomb exploded on the 13th of Nov, we were leaving right after the bomb and Thanks to Ismail we made it to the airport. He helped us meet the taxi driver who was 20mns far from the hotel. He actually dragged our luggage for 20mns and ensured we arrived safely to the airport. Honestly he is so helpful, respectful and kind West palace is so lucky to have such a professional staff.

The noise of the istiklal street and the bars underneath the hotel really make it so hard to sleep calmly The breakfast is ok

This hotel is located in the middle of shopping areas in Taksim Square, so you can imagine how accessible it is. Staffs are nice, they secured my sunglass that I accidentally left in the room so I can back and collect them safely.
