Die Architektur der verteilten Zimmer, welche in mehrere Häuschen untergebracht sind, ist sehr schön, der infinity Pool verschmilzt zwischen Himmel und Meer und ist bei Sonnenuntergang traumhaft. Das Frühstück gibt es als Buffet, aber die Portionen der Auswahl sind bereits auf Tellerchen verteilt und es wird wert auf gute Qualität der Lebensmittel gelegt. Auf den Zimmer gibt es jeden Tag frisches Trinwasser in einer Karaffe und 2 nespresso Kapseln. Die Lage ist gut für Ausflüge in den Südwesten und Norden und man ist schnell am Strand von Madalena do Mar. Es ist eine echte Hideaway Unterkunft. Es ist sehr ruhig. Die Zimmer sind hochwertig ausgestattet.

Im Oktober war es überdurchschnittlich warm und ohne Klimaanlage war es in dem Zimmer grenzwertig, ca.26 Grad, es gab nur einen Lüfter, der nachts aber zu laut war. Getränke kann man sich aus einem Kühlschrank gegen Verrechnung nehmen, mehr gibt es aber nicht. Der Frühstücksraum ist relativ klein und eng. Hotels in ähnlicher Preislage bieten viel mehr Optionen, aber haben nicht die Lage.

The rooms are really nice, amazing view at the ocean, very clean and modern. There have been a few issues initially but the staff was trying to present a solution to them immediately. All in all a great overall experience, we can definitely recommend it.

Our initial room was extremely hot with no AC installed. Due to that we were barely able to sleep at night because of the heat (the temperature in the room didnt fall below 32°C at night, despite opening all windows), but Petra reacted immediately and offered us another room, where it was way more comfortable. Other than that, we had no issues.

Fantastic breakfast, everything was freshly made and lots of fresh fruit. Very wellness conscious. Freshly brewed coffee and squeezed orange juice!

We loved the views, the peace and the infinity pool, the location made it easy to visit other places on the island (with a hire car). Lovely breakfasts every day, great restaurant (90 degrees) just next door (with a vegan option). Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was really clean and very comfortable. Incredible sunsets every night from the balcony. Really recommend staying at Escarpa.

Nothing - it was perfect!

Great, quiet location, just out of Ponta do Sol with great views. Sunset views from the infinity pool! The breakfast was amazing with a great selection including home made jam and cake. The host is very nice and we felt very welcome. The 90 restaurant belongs to the hotel, but is also open to the public. You can easily book a table there. Food is great and the staff is fun.

This place is the total package -- no photo can do it justice as you are settled into beautifully kept property on the edge of an amazing overlook of the Atlantic with spectacular views (put yourself on the edge of an infinity pool with a huge waterfall falling into the ocean in the distance as the sun comes down). The host Petra and her team are exceptional, they take so much pride in their property and the experience of their guests, they feel like friends! The rooms were clean and cozy and the breakfast was AMAZING. If you have an opportunity to stay here -- do it!

Everything was great, during our stay temperatures were way above average so the rooms were a little warm without AC but opening the windows cooled everything off at night.

Amazing place, very clean, everyone super friendly. Location is a bit remote but after some days and after visiting Funchal, we realized it was much better - more privacy and more raw. lt was just perfect.
