This was a very nice property. We really enjoyed the pool and spacious rooms.

Having a restaurant on the premises is a plus. The food and service was very good.

Clean nice and convenient

The global IT meltdown down hit as we tried to register, but couldn't. The staff pivoted and switched to pen and paper so we could check in. Only other glitch was our room was not visited by maid service. On day 3 a knock on the door revealed Housekeeping Daviana! She quickly replenished the coffee service and cheerfully cleaned the room. She's a gem.

I traveled to Mt Vernon IL for my son’s wedding. The room itself was very comfortable, and large. I had reserved a room with a king size bed but was told they didn’t have any available at that moment so they put me in a room with two queen beds. Another wedding guest checked in the following day, also a king size bed, and was told they still didn’t have any available. I thought it was a little strange since that’s what we both reserved. The front desk person was less than friendly. She was there each morning. She was counting the cash drawer with money out in the counter, which I thought was strange and unsafe. She did not greet me as I approached the desk. Another worker came up and checked me in. Other than that, the room was very clean and the AC worked very well. Breakfast was in the attached breakfast and we were given vouchers for each day. Everything was very good and the fruit fresh each day.

The room had only 2 towels in the bathroom and they were just tossed under the sink not even folded. The fridge and microwave are in this fake dresser looking thing and the door to open is the most complex and idiotic design I’ve ever seen. The room was very hot and hard to cool. Broken mirror in the bathroom, dust all over the place in areas that haven’t been cleaned in quite sometime, a previously used thing of toilet paper was left on the roll which to me is so disgusting and just simply unsanitary. Is it really hard to just give the next paying customer a clean, fresh, unused roll? I mean seriously. A huge family reunion was happening so the place was very loud with drinking happening to the point they were puking in the elevator. Just overall poor experience. Breakfast was decent and staff were great in the morning at the check in desk and for breakfast but the lady during the night I think needs a hug and some prayer..

Rooms need a good cleaning… cobwebs in the corners.

I understand trying to make suites. The perfect suite would be a king in each room, or two queens in each room, tv and a couple of chairs. The carpet was filthy and the bathroom floors had dirty piles of whatever in the corner. I don’t know why it has the score it has. Shower has rust dripping down the wall! Overall rating would be poor!

Our room had 3 lights that didn't work, shower gel pump didn't work, and the door was difficult to open & shut. Also, we had difficulty opening the refrigerator.

Nice DoubleTree Hotel. Room was really big. It were 2 rooms as one room. Breakfast was free which was a big bonus.
