Easy to check in late and great breakfast

My favorite hotel in Auckland - great location and great for the family

The staff was unfailingly helpful, to the extent they were able. However, I was first checked in to room 746 but when I opened the door I discovered the room was missing a desk, a chair for the desk, a carpet and a built-in to put your suitcase one [all items which were in rooms 1004 and 524 where I stayed a week earlier]. When I went to reception to report this they "upgraded" me to room 1242. Sadly, although was, ostensibly an upgrade and it WAS on the 12th floor and WAS a little bit larger than 1004, 524 or 746, the room was ridiculously "defective" in that the TV had fewer channels than 524 or 1004 [never checked 746], the bathroom, which was very clean and very spacious had these little individual containers of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel compared with in shower pump dispensers in the other rooms, the room did NOT have a temperature control which WAS in the other rooms. I noted this on check-out to the concierge and they agreed but were in no position to do anything except report this. By far the worst was a ridiculously soft bed. So soft I actually slept on the floor! That was rather than take a chance of hurting my back. Given these experiences the hotel, IMNSHO, does NOT deserve a 4 star plus rating.

A very comfortable stay, and the staff were very helpful.

We had a fantastic stay in a junior suite room which was incredibly spaceous! We were also able to enjoy the Club facilities which were also fantastic. Club room was not huge, but the views were good, food options excellent and the bar staff were extremely friendly and inviting. We liked it so much we changed our hotel reservation in another hotel so that we could stay again at the end of our holiday!

Friendly staff and lovely relaxed seating area in the foyer. The rooms were comfortable.

Convenient location and affordable!

The hotel is close to the sky tower and in a convenient position. Hotel is clean and rooms spacious. However renovations were being completed when we stayed that we were unaware of and started around 7.30am hammering and moving furniture on the floor above our room. This was advised to the desk who apologised and issued a free drink voucher. Have stayed before and would stay again but would check first for renovations. Parking was easy and slightly discounted as a hotel guest.

Not a great location, not conveniently walkable, seeminly unsafe streets around the hotel and unhelpful staff.

Nice environment, friendly staff

The room was amazing however the front desk did call saying there was a noise complaint about loud music and there was no music playing or any sound coming from the room we were in as we were just relaxing in bed.

Lovely environment and we enjoyed our restaurant meals. The food is expensive but very good.

A great location with easy parking and walking distance to everything.

Pretty disappointed - Pillows were rock hard - Loby and outside of the hotel were so stunning but the rooms and other areas of the hotel were incredibly run down. - We had a cleaner come into our room a hour before check out while we were still asleep ! - Room service was insanely expensive - Shower sounded terrible - Heating was hard to work out so room was very cold - milk in fridge was already open - There was no where stated on Expedia that there was a $50 deposit and we were told if we don’t pay it we can’t check in - Pool later was flimsy and dangerous Wouldn’t recommend

Staff very helpful and friendly, food good. An extra blanket in room would have been great as cold first night, duvet too light for winter and was cold night, better second night with extra blanket. Would recommend to stay again and loved the club facilities. Thank you

Location is perfect. Nice walk to everything CBD Auckland. Hotel was clean, tidy and spacious. The bathroom was another matter. The shower pressure was terribly poor and very hard to get a satisfactory temperature - either scolding or cold. The bath plug wouldn’t hold pressure so it emptied the bath. Plus the cold sore plasters suck around the sink.

Was very noisy in the morning could hear people walking around above us n banging from rooms on both sides were very loud

Room was cold. Heater setting on max and still had to wear jacket in the room. Wooden floors were not helping either. They had a nice breakfast buffet downstairs.

Great welcome to the hotel from staff member Jordan, friendly and helpful and his personality shone. I will stay every time I visit at this hotel from now on. Only thing I was not happy with was breakfast was the cold porridge x2, and eggs etc not hot.

Good location for where we needed to go.

I first stayed here over 25 years ago, and on numerous occasions since. It is centrally located and managed and maintained toa consistently high standard.

We stayed for one night in the club room, this included carpark, breakfast & beverages & canapes in the club lounge from 5-7pm. The hotel is close to the shops and restaurants. Buffet breakfast had a good range of options. We enjoyed our stay.
