About this house rental
Explore Portland like a local from this super comfy, totally updated home base in one of our most vibrant neighborhoods. The house works well for a group of 4-8 people: three couples or two couples with kids or one extended family. There's a queen bedroom and full bath on the main floor and a king master suite and another queen bedroom on the second floor. The finished basement includes laundry, a large open area, and and additional bedroom which can be used for an extra fee.
A chef's kitchen makes it easy to take advantage of New Seasons, our beautifully stocked local supermarket, just one block away. But truth be told, you probably won't eat in much, since you'll be at the epicenter of the Northeast Portland food scene, featuring nationally acclaimed restaurants, bars and coffee.
The house is a 15-20 minute drive from downtown and 15 minutes from the airport, 1-3 blocks from 4 major bus routes and 1.5 miles from Interstate 84 and I-5.

Ginger and Kurt are amazing hosts. You will be happy you stayed here.

Where do I start... This home and the hosts were both amazing, everything from the neighbourhood to the amenities were perfect. We had a newborn and a toddler and the home was beyond comfortable. At first we were hesitant being in that area but from day one, we felt safe. The New Seasons next door was a blessing and cooking at home was a joy. Both hosts were very responsive. So much to see and do walking distance. The images truly don't do the place justice. Did I mention the spa master bath with steam shower and tub? Overall, one of our most wonderful stays in a rental home ever. Thank you Kurt & Ginger for your home and hospitality.

The property is within walking distance of the grocery store, Walgreens, bars, and restaurants. Very clean and spacious home, with comfortable beds. The master bath upstairs has the best shower!!, There is a main bath on the main floor.
Cozy and private deck and patio in the back yard. We will stay again! Great Place

What a lovely property- wish we could have had more time there. I was fortunate to stay in the gorgeous master suite, which was comfortable , well decorated, and spacious.
We were three couples, but I must say, from a couples perspective, this really is a better house for 2 couples. The master with en suite was fab, the brown bedroom on the main floor had an adjacent bathroom as well. The third bedroom is where splitting a house gets interesting. The room was tiny and tucked in right next to the master. The adorable wallpaper is peeling off the wall, and the bed is a bit lumpy. Bathroom access is on the main floor (clearly started in the listing but still not great.). Splitting a place can always be a bit touchy but I just can't recommend that room for a third couple. It would be good for a kid though.
I hope to come back to the house and make more use of that gorgeous kitchen- just not with that third couple.

Really nice house, - clean, comfortable, well-taken care of. Excellent communication with owner. Located near fun interesting Alberta Arts district.

Our family was gathered to participate in a family wedding and this location worked out well for us. The house was comfortable; parking on the street was iffy, in that frequently we had to park down the street as the space in front of the house was being used by others. The only other issue was that the upstairs bathroom is in the main bedroom and the occupant of the 2nd bedroom upstairs had to interrupt those family members in order to use the shower or bathroom. The upstairs bathroom was very nice.
The owners were very responsive to issues.

Thoroughly enjoyed the property, particularly the patio. Our family of five plus one grandparent fit perfectly. Wonderful to have a first floor bathroom right next to my Mom’s room. The near by grocery store was a huge plus. Highly recommend.

The home was wonderful! So cute and clean and in a great location. Loved relaxing out back watching a hummingbird at the butterfly bush after a long day of hiking at Mount Hood, Mount Rainier and Multnomah Falls. Nice grocery store was so convenient. My husband liked the pillows so much he took a photo of the tag to order our own!

This was our second time staying at this lovely house. The neighborhood is wonderful with easy access to everywhere we needed to be. The owner was extremely responsive and came out immediately to address both a clogged bathtub drain and to bring us a brand new iron and ironing board when we couldn't locate one. This home is clean and fully equipped with everything you need. It also has a lovely and quiet backyard and front porch. We will be back again and are already looking forward to it.

Great house for a family. Enjoyed the backyard for dining. Convenient location...can walk to market and other shops.

Food and a store steps away. Lots of great food within a short distance. Airport close.
Tons of space inside, and a nice quiet backyard as well. Works well in bad weather or good if you want to hang around your "home".
The hostess was helpful and responsive.
Only downsides: The downstairs shower is in a claw tub, so you are surrounded by shower curtains very closely (upstairs shower and bath are awesome).

This was such a great place to stay for the 5 of us....plenty of spaces to sit around and chat, both inside and out ...and very comfy beds and what a great neighborhood! Quiet! Great walking with more great plants and roses than I have seen in a long time....so close to many bakeries, restaurants, coffee shops galleries etc. I would be thrilled to stay here again. The hosts were fabulous!

Great house for our family visit to Portland. The Alberts Arts District is a good place to stay in Portland. This property is very clean. Nice Kitchen and amenities. Street parking in Portland can be difficult but the spot in front of the house was always available! Walkable to restaurants, shops and the market.

We loved the fun vibe of Ginger's home. It is well located and within walking distance, in every direction, of great food, coffee, groceries and shops/galleries. Ginger is very responsive and thoughtful.

Our family stayed here for a couple months while our house is under construction. We loved it. Great for families... the rooms are huge, there's everything you need, and the location can't be beat. The host was super responsive and knew how to troubleshoot anything with a single text message. After a couple months, we had to move to another Vrbo because our construction is taking forever, and this place was booked (obviously). We're all saying how much we miss Ginger's place. Thanks for a great couple months! ❤️✨

My husband, sister and brother-in-law stayed here over the new year's weekend and it was great! The house is charming, the location is great, and the owners were responsive to our requests. Parking was easy, and the fireplace is lovely! Would definitely stay here again. The only issue is that the downstairs bathroom needs some work (floors, shower), but overall, we really enjoyed staying here.

We had a wonderful stay here for Thanksgiving! Us, Grandparents, and our teens loved the space. Walking distance to New Seasons. The kitchen was very well equipped. We found everything we needed for making pie dough from scratch. Ginger was nice and very responsive. We will be back!

This home is in a quaint part of Portland with amenities close by. It was built in 1917 and has all that historic charm, but everything has been upgraded. It has a beautiful kitchen, beautiful, spacious bathrooms and bedrooms. Kurt and Ginger were very responsive to messages and texts. I would highly recommend this home.

This home had everything! Beautiful inside and outside. We spent a lot of time in the lovely backyard with the resident squirrels and rabbits. This is probably the cleanest and best stocked vrbo home I have ever stayed. I hope to return.

The house and property were as described in the posting and satisfactory. The area was perfect for a family, quiet neighborhood but only 15 minutes from anywhere in the city.

We loved the spacious feeling and layout of this house. The children and their parents were upstairs and we were on the main floor. The kitchen is beautiful and light and opens out to a serene and well kept deck, patio and yard. There are tall hedges on either side for total privacy and the furniture was comfortable with room for at least 8. The location was close to an excellent grocery store and coffee shops. We would love to stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect. We were walking distance from great restaurants and grocery store. It was the perfect home-base for our adventures around the Portland area. Bed were comfortable. The kitchen had everything you’d need, and the front porch and back yard were perfect for enjoying some of the nice cool evening air. We’d be happy to stay there again!

This home fit our needs for my family get together. The large dining table made a perfect spot for fun family card games.

Portland delight
Clean, spacious and well equipped property in the Arts District. Backyard is enclosed by greenery and provided a great spot for lunch or just relaxing. The house itself has plenty of room and is very comfortable.

Portland Wedding
The property was very spacious and clean. The only downside was the on street parking, even with that we were able to park near the front of the house most times. I would stay there again.

This house was perfect for our group who were in town for a concert and birthday getaway. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Great proximity to local activities as well. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a perfect family house and even nicer than the pictures or description. Location can’t be beat and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great location + everything we needed
Awesome house and location. Just a stone throw from a great grocery and a few shops. A few more blocks and feeling like we had access to many shops / restaurants. As an aside, our toddler had a great time with the staircase which also had a handrail at his height allowing for him to walk down a staircase on his own for the first time.

Great location, perfect for a family
My partner and I stayed here with his parents and our baby to attend a wedding at the Kennedy School, and it was perfect. It’s so close for groceries at the market and necessities at Walgreens. There are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries within walking distance. It was our home base for 5 days while we explored the area around Portland. It’s also a great place to stay with a little one. There’s a high chair and pack and play, and the setup upstairs with the master bedroom next to the kids room worked really well for us. The hosts were super responsive and lovely to work with. Definitely recommend this spot!

Great rental!
My friends and I decided to spend a last minute weekend in Portland and rented this property. It was perfect for what we needed and located in a great neighborhood. We were around the corner and walking distance to great bars and restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful home!
We loved staying at this VRBO- it was very clean, a fun location and it had all the amenities. The only hiccup was we did not receive any check-in information until I reached out about 15 minutes prior to check-in time. However, please note, Ginger was very friendly and professional and sent the information right away. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this house.

Ladies road trip
The house is charming and in a convenient location. We noticed that the basement is being renovated and it appears there would be large space for another living room. The current t.v. area is very small (room for 2 only), so the additional space would be great. We did find a few things that could have been improved: kitchen lighting is dim (especially at night), pocket door in master w/c didn’t close completely, there was a sticky residue in the freezer bin, the ice maker is very slow, and we found a used bar of soap in the downstairs bathroom. Luckily we brought our own body wash. We were lucky to find a spot to park on the street as there were many cars parked there too. Good thing we only had one car. Overall we enjoyed our stay but improvements could be made.
