Very comfortable room and hotel - great service, beautiful pool and beach, and top-north entertainment. We spent both days down by the beach (get there early to claim a beach lounger with towels and a personal item or two), they have an ocean lifeguard on duty, staff to setup/move umbrellas for you, and waitstaff from the bar who will deliver drinks and snacks directly to you.
The Palace Resort group has an app, which is actually quite useful for knowing what is going on when and for making requests like maintenance, room service, or dinner reservations.
Your room mini fridge will be restocked each day, including the 3 Liter bottles of water (I drink a lot of water, this was much appreciated). We also requested the complimentary anniversary package, which added some extra romance to our stay.
We went to one of the evening entertainment activities, the “Glow Motion Show”, and it was truly exceptional. Definitely worth checking out the entertainment programming, the hotel staff works hard on it to make their events and activities fun and engaging.
As expected for all-inclusive, food and drinks were average at best, with some exceptions (I really recommend the Beef Picanha at Fuego, it’s so good!). Most cocktails are very sweet/use premade mixer. Room service food has small portions and cooled down quickly, I’d recommend just going to one of the 4 restaurants.
Depending on high/low season, you need to make dinner reservations for the restaurants which can make it difficult to get the times you want during a short stay. The first night it is understood that you should try to walk in somewhere, and they will do their best to accommodate you.
Very pricey per night, though perhaps your use of the all-included amenities may make it a better deal than paying per-drink/per-meal at a similar but non-all-inclusive resort.

Everything was excellent the food the staff
The rooms were big and clean

Service staff was excellent.
Management staff really seemed to lack any ability or authority to solve problems. We had a promotional credit issue for accepting the membership tour that none of the management - customer service, public relations, operations - could solve and literally lost $100 as a result

I love how the staff was attentive to the property. And they are attentive to each guest.
Too eager to sell a membership when you 1st walk through the door. It comes off as greed. Maybe they should at least give you an hour to view the property, settle in and then be confronted with sales. But the property was soo beautiful and the rooms were great! We are definitely going back to this resort for a longer stay.

Beautiful well maintained property. Staff was great and so was the food
Our last day were were served tainted rum at the pool bar. My girlfriend and I both noticed the rum tasted very off and was NOT Captain Morgan. We didn't think a resort like this would purchase and serve the guests tainted (mixed with illegally made alcohol) so assumed maybe they simply got a different type in Mexico. After only a couple drinks we both started to feel a bit disoriented and knew something was not right. We decided to get to the room (this was at only 7pm) and we got worse and worse...I knew we had ingested methanol based on what I looked up. At about midnight we both became violently ill with severe stomach cramps and difficulty focusing to see.
We were supposed to fly out at 9am but were so sick we had to reschedule our flight for 1pm in hopes we could make it to the airport without becoming ill. Horrible experience and cost us a lot of time, money and pain. We got home finally. I feel this resort should partially refund our trip because of what they did...so far they have not responded

The staff was extremely nice and efficient. There was a small issue with the room they originally gave us, but as soon as we reported it they were extremely fast at providing us with a better room and giving us a free massage to compensate. And that was only an illustration of the first class experience we had with their staff for the remaining of our time there.
The food in their restaurants was also fantastic!
If you like alcoholic cocktails, you might find some of them lacking the appropriate amount of alcohol in it. At times I couldn't tell there was any alcohol in it (and I don't drink much). However you can always tell them to add a bit more if you want.

I had my 50th birthday and the staff made it very special for me - I was serenaded and got bubbly and cake in my room, etc. They were all so sweet and smiled every day, from the ones at the pool to Elizabeth at Fuego restaurant and the guys at The Bar! Thanks again so much for making my birthday extra special! I also had a wonderful spa experience to top it off. Everything were so clean and beautiful. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and the arctic pool, which helped my foot pain.
We had a wonderful time, the only unfortunate thing is that our hot tub leaked a whole lot f water after draining it, we had to dry up and the floors are very very slippery as it's marble, which is beautiful, but just be very careful not to slip and fall

The room was luxury (spa bath, deluxe shower, comfortable king bed, balcony)
The views were great
The service was good
The price was very high and does not include the spa/massage
Overall the food/drink was bad (excluding breakfast), especially the pool bar drinks and snacks. The drinks are mostly just crushed ice and syrup
We were held up and given a pushy sales pitch to join their club at the end of our stay

the only downside about the property is the pool closed really early.

The food, that is only for adults, the room
Since you arrived at the hotel they try to sell their hotel membership . They tricked us telling that we had the chance to visit another hotel and when we arrived we had to listening a 90 minutes presentation as we decided not to listening the presentation they sent out to our hotel again without giving us the chance to take a glance of the Le blank hotel. We were very disappointing and their behavior disgusting. I won’t stay in that kind of hotel any more. I chose it for having more privacy but trust more in the big well known hotels like Marriot, Riu, Hilton which are also better located and are really serious
The beach is too small. There are better beaches on the north

The food was great. The staff members were very friendly and helpful.
I really do not have any complaints. I have nothing to compare this property with since this was my first time staying at an all inclusive resort.

The location was beautiful. The staff was amazing the amenities were top-notch. The food was the best I have ever had at a resort. It was 5-star dining at every restaurant. Even the room service food was excellent. We are hooked on Palace resorts after this short stay.
Nothing.

The property was very clean and the food was delicious. All staff members were friendly and attentive. We had the best honeymoon and it was our first time in Cancun. I would definitely stay at Sun Palace again!
Nothing. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff made us feel at home and were very accommodating.
