At breakfast explained I was vegan and was offered vegan sausages. Would have been nice to be offered a full vegan breakfast
First room had issues with electric so had to swap. The bathroom was not the cleanest in either room- mould in one and dead flies in other. Asked for plant milk for coffee but this wasn’t actioned.

Excellent surroundings and accommodation
Geese excrement all over the grass near and around the small lake.

Spacious
Shabby room, lack of signage from one side of hotel to other: e.g. to get from Stable Block to fitness centre?

Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was lovely. Our 5th stay as family nearby and will stay again hopefully.
All fine, no issues

The reception was very welcoming, helpful and polite. Everything was clean and breakfast was good. Beautiful old building with some very wonderful trees on the grounds.
Room was slightly smaller then expected for booked a superior twin but pretty standard size and the booking said garden view but had car park view.

Everything was brilliant the only thing I did not like was being woke up at 4am by a slamming door the wall are that thin so unfortunately I didn’t get much sleep , hopefully if I stay again the main house bedrooms will be more soundproof. Everything else was excellent .
I would not stay in the stables again.

Lovely large and clean room overlooking the lake. It was dog friendly and a little treat box was waiting in our room for our dog which was a lovely touch and nice surprise. The spa was super relaxing, lots of variety in there too.
Breakfast was nice but a little disappointing, could have been hotter and they had run out of orange juice. Some croissants and Nutella would be nice to add as an option into the continental selection.
However, the team were really helpful and friendly and sorted us some nice crispy bacon from the chefs.

Hotel grounds were good and spar was clean. Comfy bed
Paid for an upgraded room …2 of the 4 blinds in room broken.
Radiator could not be turned off
Tea making facilities had no plug to go into where it was positioned, so had to unplug an item in another area of room to make a drink.
Coffee machine was too small to fit the cups in room.
Layout of room poorly thought out .

The only experience which was pleasant was having Kevin serve us at dinner and then again for afternoon tea the following day. All other staff were rude and unpleasant.
Unfortunately, the overall hospitality at the hotel was very poor. The welcome was very rude firstly I was told I didn't make the correct booking and only booked 1 room instead of 2, however the check-in lady didn’t realise it was all under one name. Secondly, there was no assistance on taking luggage to the rooms. In the rooms we had no slippers or dressing robes which was a surprise for a spa hotel! At dinner the vegan option ran out very quickly and there was no accommodation in creating something else that was vegan friendly. Breakfast staff were incredibly rude. No attentiveness and when I ask about ordering vegan sausages I was rudely spoken to and staff seemed annoyed that I even asked. Our booking afternoon tea was disappointing as we waited 15 minutes in a dirty room where tables had not been cleaned. I went to reception to request to be served as no one had seated us, come to us or even taken an order.
The spa was dirty and the pool had locks of hair at the side. For the price of the hotel I was extremely disappointed and mostly shocked with the staff and their attitude. I wouldn’t recommend to stay.

Felt like I stepped back in time, stunning location! Close to Shrewsbury for easy road links and Wem where I was visiting a friend.
Character of the building.
The bathroom door didn't close or lock properly.

Keine. Möglichkeit, entsprechendes Hotel zu suchen. Ein Schelm, wer Böses dabei denkt!!!!

Nice location. Food was great. Staff were very helpfull
Food was abit expensive in the main restaurant but abit cheaperin the bar area. The health suit was really nice apart from the water in the swimming pool was very dirty and could have been cleaned. No entertainment in the evenings . A singer on the Saturday evening would have been good just to keep the guest in the bar area

Loved the spa
The parking was a little tricky because there were coaches taking up a large space so nobody could really park up at the stables.

Location was great and the staff we dealt with were lovely. The outside of the hotel was beautiful and the gardens were pretty.
When we checked in we were told that we needed to pay a deposit, which wasn't advertised anywhere before we arrived. The woman at reception charged £140 to my card for a £116 booking, not just a pre authorisation, full £140 payment.
Got to our room, which was meant to be a superior twin, but didn't have the seating area we were supposed to get, the window was stuck closed and it was boiling hot. Luckily we found a fan.
The spa... Wasn't really great. One side of the pool was closed off for children's swimming lessons, which isn't exactly relaxing as a spa should be. We briefly used the hot tub but there was dirty marks round the sides so we didn't stay long.
Our towels were also dirty, some lightbulbs didn't work and every single door near us slammed super loud.

Nice location and the rooms were comfortable and well equipped
The breakfast was not great with the food already being very depleted an hour before the end of service, with replenishments being slow and in some cases non-existent.

Staff in main good, plus breakfast.
Room not cleaned properly from previous guest including ballon’s in room from previous guests. Reception did phone back, which meant not able to book restaurant.

Dirty, old, tired!
The carpets are disgusting! Don’t stay here with a young child. The swimming pool was absolutely freezing. The entrance door to the side building we were in had a broken door so there was no security door so anyone could walk in and out. We queued for over 30mins just to check in. The food is poor and over priced. Do not book here. Shocking service too

Beautiful building and gardens. Close to Shrewsbury and road network to easily access other places of interest. Comfortable, spacious rooms.

Friendly and professional staff, fabulous room. The location and grounds.
The bed in the suite was amazing ! Large and very comfortable.
The breakfast. Hot items not replenished quickly with people having to wait. Assume the black pudding had run out as this wasn’t refilled. Bacon and sausage looked like they needed more cooking as very pale with little colour which was off putting.

Well appointed, clean, friendly, good location.
No supper reservations available sadly, and no time to use the spa on this visit.

The property was lovely with original features, updated where need with modern looks to rooms etc.
The grounds were kept tidy, clean and pretty to view with the pleasure of admiring the local sheep who made a delightful appearance.
There was nothing not to like about the property.

Large spacious room for us with a 20 month old boy. Room was immaculate and it was freshened up every day.
Swimming pool- spa and gym facilities were good
Breakfast excellent and lady who served us on 4 mornings during our stay made us feel welcome and was professional and friendly
While trying to occupy my little boy, lady at hotel kindly gave him a balloon which really made his day.
Small things like:
Not enough coat hangers
No cups for water in gym- due to delay in delivery
Gym not opening til 8am on weekends

The breakfast was lovely, however we had dogs and there were no tables set up in the bar. Every day I had to ask then it was 3 or 4 trips backwards and forwards to get food etc
Pillows were very hard. There was no pool or wifibon second day I would imagine due to power cut
4.5 / 5.0
It was a beautiful hotel and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely return.
Couple of the staff were unacomidating
