Serviced well by bus service, but only a 10 minute walk into town. Nice views of Cuzco.
Very comfortable, relaxing stay.

The day before the arrival the property noticed us that the heating is not included in the price. Next, when we arrive at the property on the agreed time no one opened the door or answered the phone. It is very difficult to find the property on the dark, there are no lights on the street an no people. Finally, we had to ask in the nearby store and they took us in. And there was a huge construction site on the property's ground. Without any fence, which is dangerous for kids. The construction was at the height of the room's windows and very close. And they told us that the construction work starts "only" at 8am. There was no word about the construction on the booking site.

The location was better than I expected. There is a bus " Batman" that stops right in front of the place and you can get to and from the center in about 8 minutes. For one sol it is a great deal. We took a taxi on our first day and it cost 15 soles. There are two mini marts close by and have a good selection of the basics. We cooked a lot of our meals and stayed indoors a lot ( we were on a business trip) and it was very comfortable. Hot showers and comfy beds. Dogs and cats on site were an added bonus. The owners are very nice and will answer your every need pronto!
On the whole it was pretty quiet , but... there were a few mornings that some guests started blasting their music at seven AM! If you a light sleeper and want to sleep in, I highly advise you to bring some earplugs.

You really can't beat the price. All the basic needs are fulfilled and the host was generally helpful whenever we had any issues. We had issues getting to the place on arrival, but she helped us organize a taxi for our early flight and allowed us to store our luggage while we did a multi-day trek to Machu Picchu. She also provided the Wifi details before we arrived to make sure we could contact her on arrival.
The town center is only 10-15 minutes walking away, but it's very, very uphill to get to the accommodation. This is mitigated though, as there is the "Batman" bus which runs regularly and fairly late, only costs 1 Sole each way, and picks you up directly in front of the gate.
The kitchen was well equipped, the rooftop area was nice to sit with a great view, and there was laundry available (at a cost).
It was quite cold, but there were extremely warm wool blankets on the beds. Also, we were able to borrow a gas heater, just pay for the gas tank itself, which worked out great, especially for a bit longer stay. We stayed in a larger place first and then a smaller one, the temperature was much more comfortable in the smaller one.
We organized with the host to have a taxi pick us up at the bus station on our arrival. Our bus was late but we were able to send a quick message when we passed through a small Wifi zone along the way and were assured it would not be an issue. When we arrived, the driver was not there to pick us up and we also had trouble finding Wifi to contact anyone. In the end, we ended up just taking a taxi from the station on our own and it worked out ok, but it was extremely frustrating not having the arranged pickup on arrival and made us a bit skeptical about the taxi organized on our departure early in the morning to the airport (which did work out great). It was also a little hard to find the place, as it's not particularly well marked and the Google location doesn't place it in the correct spot.
The host was nice and helpful and brought everything we needed, but we stayed a week and had to ask for quite a few things - trash bags, matches for lighting the stove, toilet paper (multiple times). The flat could have been better prepared, especially for a longer stay with no service through the stay. She did offer a cleaning service (on our second to last day) for a fee.
The oven did not work and we were not informed until we asked for help for how to light it. Was not that big of a deal that it didn't work, but if something is broken, it should be communicated. Luckily, all of the groceries we had purchased for our week stay could be cooked on the stove.
The rooftop area was cool, but definitely with a bit of work could be improved. The Wifi did not work in most of the room and was spotty where it did.
Laundry was available at an extra cost. For us, the price was a bit too high, especially we would have had to provide our own detergent. Including detergent would have made it much more attractive. The apartment had a lot of moisture in the air, there was a LOT of mold in the bathroom.

our host Karina was the most incredible host we stayed with. she was flexible and caring from the very beginning.
the apartment was very clean and spacious.
the view from the apartment and the rooftop was the best In the city.
everything we needed was taken care of right away and we got the best advices about places to go, foods to eat and attractions worth doing. all in all perfect stay.

The host was great. And the breakfast was decent as well. The view from the balcony was amazing!
It was cold when I went in April
Some heat would've been nice.

The hosts were always there to help in any way they could. I felt like I was part of the family And that is rare to find in most places that you stay.

How this property ever got a 9.1 rating I am at a loss to understand. I checked some of the reviews and a lot mention a lady called Katarina in glowing terms. We never met a Katarina and maybe that was the problem, a change of ownership of something.
There are a number of very enjoyable features about the property, these are largely covered in the positive reviews lots of space, great views, bus stops outside the door etc.
In my experience the negatives far outweighed the positives which are as follows,
1) There is no reception or central place to get help. If there is we were never shown it. The man who showed us our room and took our money also exchanged whatsapp info with my wife. She tried to contact him a couple of times with questions but he never replied.
2) The data sheet we received from Booking had substantial error or omissions. Toiletries - there were none, asked and got a bar of soap and were told they did not supply shampoo. Cleaning Materials - none, asked and got a whole raft of stuff, we got the tea towels and dishwashing detergent we wanted but also a bucket and mop, brush and dustpan. It was the only time this property overdelivered. Coffee Machine - no, Tea Maker - there was a kettle on the propane stove but no way of lighting the stove - asked and got some matches. Microwave - no, Barbecue - never even tried for this one, Clothes Rack - no, Drying Rack - no. We gave up asking because we could never find anyone to ask. I don't speak Spanish, but my wife speaks it well. We had the impression the apartment was stripped for covid and never put back to its full complement of features.
3) It was freezing with no heat. This is a large concrete structure, the apartments are on the ground floor, four of them I think, then there are two other accommodatio floors and the top floor acts as a restaurant. We were in a corner apartment that never got the sun. As soon as the sun went down the temperature in the lower level of the apartment dropped to around 14C. We would sit in the dinning area dressed to go outside. I had a vest, shirt, merino sweater and down fleece jacket on inside! and I was still cold (forgot to bring my ski gloves). 14C does not sound too bad but it's not a temperature to sit around in. If we ever go to Cusco again I will look for accommodatio that specifies heat.

Karina, the host, was lovely and assisted me and my party throughout a forced extended stay due to the quarantine in Cuzco. Karina did everything in her power to accommodate special requests and make up for a lovely stay. Definitely a 5 star host that embodies the kindness of people from Cuzco.

Great place, grate location, bus "batman" right in front of the building, thanks for a great stay Karina!
