The rooms had a private bathroom and the hostel had its own restaurant/bar.
Despite having a sign that said they accept American Express - they did not. This meant that I had to pay in cash at the last minute, leaving very little for Machu Picchu. For the final night, I decided to book again because it said clearly that I’d pay in advance. When I arrived, they said that you don’t pay in advance and pay on arrival, so I had to leave.

I stayed in the private room with the private bathroom. It was clean and comfortable however so terribly loud with people running up and down the hallways (completely understand that this could also be because it’s a Wild Rover Hostel)
Incredibly loud guests althroughout the night. Reception pretends that eftpos machine isn’t working so you need to pay with cash.
Was charged way more than what I actually spent (on the room charge and 2 meals).
A word of warning, if you need to check out please allocate yourself approximately 40mins to do so as the check out process is incredibly slow and inefficient. Plus you cannot pay with card as their machine never works.

Great party hostel at a good price. The rooms are separated from the bar so there’s no noise there.

FREE COFFEE AND TEA SERVICE
THE BED UPSTAIRS AIS TOO NARROW. I HIT MY HEAD TOTHE CEILING.

Most of the staff were great and accomodating. Special mention to the night porter, not sure of his name but he was a great help when we badly needed it.
Shower was never hot, constant drilling and maintenance work from around 11am to 6pm. Our room was literally shaking at times as if we were the ones using the power tools. Also misleading information all over the hostel, eg signs saying laundry will be back by 9pm when in fact it is 11pm, signs saying breakfast starts at 8am when in fact it is 9am. Small thing I know but why advertise something that isn't true.

The bar staff, especially Frank, were great. We started in a private room on the top floor and the deck up there is a great spot. Room was very comfy and the shower water pressure was ideal.
Due to the protests there were no gas deliveries so they had to turn off the water heaters 🥶

I had a pretty bad time there. But the Hostel manager was nice
I would not stay at one of these hostels again. It is literally a party hostel. People party in the corridors and are so loud. You cannot get any sleep in these and I stayed in a single room so I wouldn't get disturbed by people. Very thin walls and just drunks everywhere. If you want to see a country and explore/ plan trips then you want a good nights sleep. Do not stay here. If you want to just get drunk in corridors and waste your time then stay here. I will not ever stay at one of these JOKE of an adult hostel as what is advertised.

The bed was comfortable. WiFi was good.
The 20-bed-dorm has an en-suite bathroom which smells awful and makes sleeping there very unpleasant.
The hostel is located at the top of a steep hill which means arriving on foot is not recommended and going out for a quick meal etc. merits serious consideration.
You can get a private room for the same price at a different hotel.

We booked shared room with private bathroom and it was not true, there was only one bathroom with 3 shower for sharing with 3 rooms with more than 10 beds. Other reason is that bathroom is not closed so you have shower and you are hit for cold wind. Other reason is sometimes the shower is not warm. Other reason is I ve already stayed in hostals in different places in the world and all of them have shared kitchen in order to prepare our own breakfast sometimes lunch or other meals and Wild doesnt have and its a way to force us to buy meals in the restaurant there and there is not so much options and beside this the location is a little bit far from the centre where there are restaurants. Other reason is they rent towels but small towels like face towels.

Great place to meet people! Lively atmosphere, staff were knowledgeable. Had a storage room to store larger luggage pieces when going away for short excursions.
Bar food and drinks were a little pricy. Bathrooms could be cleaner. No warm water most of the time. Be prepared for a long and steep hike anytime you need to walk to the main plaza area.

The experience at Wild Rovers was pretty nice! It is a European-style hostel where you will find a lot of activities. We went to the bar a couple of times and it was always great. Something else is that if you don't speak Spanish, you will probably have problems finding people to meet, as it looks like most of the people who stay there are English-speakers. The hostel staff are really kind! They gave us advice on where to find good tours, laundry, food, and they even helped us find a farmacy at 3am by calling a lot of people. well-deserved recommendation. We enjoyed a lot at Wild Rovers, and will definitely stay there next time I get to Cusco.
The location is not the best. I mean, it is definitely near the Plaza de Armas, but you have a steep slope to cross. The room is pretty dark even with all the lights on, and the music could be loud sometimes.

Free Tea/Coffe
Huge dorm with 20+ beds and only two bathrooms.
Very very loud and mainly guest from UK, so the pub feeling is right inside the bedroom.

Nice people, nice location.

Facilities were good, great amenities and good vibes.
It's a long uphill walk from the center of town, but that can't be helped.
4.1
the beds were comfy
say free water but there isn’t (bad for the environment and your wallet), bad wifi, pictures are not what they seem (there are no outside seats or anywhere to socialise), dark rooms, cold showers, no washing, big hill to walk up
