The pet friendly basement apartment was that. It was easy and simple. My daughter enjoyed the snacks. I appreciated the amenities.
Close to most things in Portland. I prefer NE, but would recommend this VRBO, especially if you have a pet.

We loved the little carrion in a cool neighborhood with restaurants in walking distance. Art welcomed us, shared a glass of wine and provided restaurant suggestions. Very comfortable bed, and a closed yard for our poor dogs who travelled 2500 miles with us. Highly Recommend!

Had a great stay. Nice people! Nice neighborhood.

My partner and our dog had a lovely time in this Vrbo. It’s a basement-turned-garden-apartment so it doesn’t have a ton of light and it’s hard to adjust the temperature (there’s window mounted A/C that does help some), but other than that it’s a great place. The backyard is especially lovely. Beautiful, green and spacious.

Had a good short stay. Host was communicative and responsive, and it was great having a place where we could comfortably stay with our pups while traveling and, especially, feel comfortable leaving them behind for a bit to go out in the City. They napped happily in the nice cool basement apartment while we went to dinner, the first time on our trip we didn't have to worry about leaving them in the car or somewhere that wasn't secure. Much appreciated!

We just needed a quick stop to drop family at the airport before we headed up to seattle from the coast. Perfect spot for us and our pups 🐶

My friend and I drove down to Portland for a few days and had a lovely stay. Art was very communicative and kind. He was thoughtful and gave us information on things we might not have thought of on our own. We would happily come back again.

Lots to walk to and access to Laurelhurst park. Hosts were great and even lent my wife a long dress coat for an unusually cold June outdoor wedding. Will stay again!

This apartment had everything we and the dogs needed for a smooth, soft, spot to begin relocating and reorienting us here! The beautiful verdant backyard and spacious patio was the home base we needed to get started. Art was extremely helpful and friendly while giving us our space to decompress afree 3 long days driving cross country, and the laundry room was a very nice touch for us to be able to wash dog beds and blankets after that experience! Nikki and Tucker were as sweet and silly as described.
Thank you for making us so welcome, and at home for our stay!

Immediate response from the owners upstairs when something was needed. Good hot water and pressure. Good place for doggy to do her business in the backyard. Close to Laurelhurst park. Windows can be opened for flow-through ventilation. Nice breakfast snacks provided. Good instructions from the owners. Only issue was the color temperature of much the lighting, which was way too blue. Should be 2700.Kelvin.

Took my kids to Portland for a few days to see a Trailblazers game and relax. This place was easy to find and get around from and was comfortable.
Having the yard available for our dogs made it even better so I didn't have to leave them at home. Owners were easy to reach and seemed to care about how we were doing.

We loved the location. The neighborhood was great, very quiet and within walking distances to coffee shops and restaurants, and shops on Hawthorne. We appreciated the walkout basement which opened it up more visually and brought in nice light. The apartment is newly remodeled and beautiful. The kitchenette is equipped with the basics. We only ate our breakfasts there so didn't do much cooking. Art was great and was always very quick to respond to my questions. We stayed one week enjoying the time visiting our daughter's family. It's a winner and highly recommend this place.

...about my stay, the property, the area, the host(s). My husband had an emergency medical situation and was transported from the Long Beach Peninsula to the Vancouver/Portland area. This left me to find accommodations on very short notice, where I would feel safe by myself, comfortable, and where I could bring my dogs. This property exceeded my expectations in every way. It had everything I needed and then some. Little, thoughtful details meant so much! Very comfortable bed, too. If it fits your needs, don't hesitate.

This VRBO is cleverly-built and designed; everything you need is fit in a clean and comfortable space. The adjoining backyard is beautiful and great for pets. The location couldn't be better--so many delicious restaurants, cozy coffee houses, and fun bars in walking distance, plus easy access to other locations in Portland and surrounding area. Good communication with the host, our pet was comfortable here too.

This rental was pretty perfect for us. We traveled with two senior dogs, and one of them had a major arthritis flare-up (our longest car trip since the diagnosis, so we didn’t realize how much riding in the car would cramp her), so our plans for hiking turned into staying put and just spending time together. Fortunately, this site has a very comfortable back yard and is in a nice neighborhood. We were able to find fun places to eat and shop nearby, and there was a delightful Saturday market. It also put us closer to the Davis Voodoo Donut, which never had long wait the 3 times we stopped in.
It was fun hearing the pitter patter of the laboradors upstairs. The bed is very comfortable, and the apartment was clean. The glass doors let in enough light to forget we were in a basement apartment.
My only note to future guests is that the fence on one side of the yard and the gate to the yard is on the shorter side. My gals are 11 and 13 now, but when they were younger, they could have flown over the fence after squirrels. If you have dogs who are good about staying with you, or small dogs, this is not a problem. If you have an athletic squirrel hunter, make sure you don't leave them alone in the yard.

This location was PERFECT for my pup. She was able to freely roam the backyard and potty without me fearing she would get loose. The back is completely fenced with your own private entrance into a REALLY clean studio. Loved that I had access to a washer and dryer, it made for the perfect stop on a long road trip. I will definitely being staying here again if I am ever in Portland!

Had a wonderful week at Art's property. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessities. We were in town early in the morning due to work requirements, and Art let us drop off fridge stuff before check in and hang out on the cute backyard patio until the property was ready (and was willing to let us check in earlier, but was limited by the cleaning schedule due to a check out that day). Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

My wife and I had a nice, comfortable stay. The apartment was very clean and offered all the right amenities for our Portland stay. Art was a wonderful host and was able to recommend a really good sushi restaurant when most of the local restaurants were closed on a Monday. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was tastefully decorated, cozy and very comfortable. Owners had thoughtfully set up & turned on a portable AC unit as it was hot in Portland when I arrived. There were a few snacks left out, a selection of teas & some coffee. Instructions for check in, check out m, & general stay were clear. Hosts were kind & friendly when I communicated with them, but not intrusive. My favorite part was the bed really. It was like sleeping on a cloud, & with good quality sheets. I had been on a road trip up and down the Pacific coast and this was my favorite bed, one of my favorite all around places to stay - maybe even the favorite. I would definitely consider this place again if I come back to Portland.

We were in the area to visit some family nearby and this was perfect for us. We've had Baby Doll pizza before with our Portland family and conveniently, it was nearby! The hosts were friendly and communicative. Their place was comfortable and quiet in a lovely neighborhood. We plan to book again next time we go that way!

This is an amazing host and space. It was the perfect location near the Portland airport with easy access to food and other attractions. The hosts were also very helpful especially when plans changed due to weather. They even followed up to make sure we made it to our next destination.

We only had one quick overnight here but our hosts made everything so easy. We really appreciated the extra touches. We would love to stay here again.

The apartment was very nice, clean and well appointed. Unfortunately the back yard was under renovation which made it less than enjoyable. The two big dogs that live in the house are sweet but very rambunctious and will run into the apartment as your opening the door, And the dog poop needs to be picked up.

Nice quiet stay with lots of delicious food within walking distance. Host was very friendly and welcoming.
