We had an absolutely wonderful stay at casa cereza! We are regulars to Holbox and think this is THE best place to stay…its away from centro enough for extra quiet, it CLOSE to the beach, and with cafe del mar immediately there to serve breakfast, ceviches, sandwiches and drinks! The hostess is a beautiful soul, thoughtful. The facilities are gorgeous, clean, private feeling with a fantastic lush garden area of flowers and palm trees. The wifi was good also. We shared the home with another couple and enjoyed use of the full kitchen to cook our fresh caught fish, and other dishes. This beautiful home is our favorite lodging in the beautiful Holbox. Very fresh and great air flow, and fans supplied to keep cool.
Noe & Carla (hostess’ assisants) were also very helpful when needed -we 1000% recommend -thank you Sabine
We didn’t like that we had to leave lol. 😆
Its beautiful and offers a very authentic island homey feeling.

The great location, few steps from the sea, a walk away from the centre and perfect for exploring on foot the coast all the way to Punta Cocos, and to Punta Mosquito. The accommodation, on the first floor of this palapa style building, is very comfortable (two separate double rooms, shared bathroom and a comfy kitchen cum dining room) and feels very private. Carla (in lieu of Sabine, who wasn't there) was very helpful, providing water, extra towels for the beach and sharing info about restaurants and activities in the island. We enjoyed some cocktails and our last breakfast at the Cafe del Mar, by the beach.
We could have done with a bit more cutlery (all the spoons, but one, were small).

it is the second floor of a charming wooden house only a few seconds walk from the beach. it is on a quiet stretch of the island, away from beach bars that play loud music and a walk from the town centre. it is close to a market with cheap place to eat and the airfield. it has a kitchen with a gas hob, coffee maker and fridge/freezer, pots/pans/cutlery/crockery.
holbox island has no tourist ‘attractions’ like museums, sights, ruins, walks, parks, shopping centres etc. so you are forced to relax!
nothing, it was perfect for us!
(some guests may prefer a location with air conditioning). the golf cart taxi drivers are very untrustworthy on the island. they will charge you
double the correct rate to get to the house!

Feels like home. Sabina’s place was absolutely wonderful to stay in! she’s a great host, her place is very close to the beach and to the centro, but not so close to town that the noise bothers you. It’s a very peaceful place to stay, with a nice garden area to hammock in and relax when not at the beach.

Beautiful property with breezy windows and amazing rooftop and deck and gorgeous garden. I loved sleeping with the sounds of the wind rustling though the palms. About 30 steps to an incredible beach where you can get food and organize excursions and golf cart rentals. Sabina the owner and her son are so kind, friendly and helpful! We loved it so much we extended our stay. The café on the beach is excellent. Location is perfect being a bit out of town so it is less busy but an easy walk into town along the beach or a taxi ride into town or to the ferry can be easily arranged. It was a perfect escape from life.
Nothing at all it was amazing

Beautiful and tasteful property with a nice restaurant at the basement and on the beach
Some construction work going on in the area but should end soon

We love the rustic ‘back to basic’ concept and Casa Cereza deliver all that.
Did not have the sea view but it did not matter since we were only 30 meters away from the beach.
