A very pleasant stay in a traditional English seaside hotel.

The location was very good and the breakfast was excellent.

The rooms were clean and tidy, but looked a little tired and in need of a refurbishment. My bathroom floor had a big dip in it which sank when walked on.

Amazing, we will be back!

The location is amazing close to everything. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Very happy staff always smiling and saying hello. Breakfast was fantastic and me and my son loved the pool this morning.

I couldn't fault anything. It was a random excersion. We only live in Ryde and it was a spur of the moment decision.

Very good location, Breakfast and indoor heated pool!!!

Breakfast is very good, they assign you to the table which you seated all time you staying there. Menu is good, freshly cooked eggs, full English breakfast, coffee, and other drinks. The main reason for us to stay there it is indoors heated swimming pool, so if the weather is not great the kids are happy there. The bar is opened from 6pm From the port about 20 minutes drive The beach is 5 minutes walk with the cafe and some water activities. Shop to get some toys Pier with golf and bowling Few places to eat. It is not far from Shanklin where is lots of other things to do. It is just 12 minutes from Robin Hill, 30 minutes from BlackGang Chine and 50 minuted from The Needles.

The hotel need some refreshments, but it is nice to go back in time in some way and stay there.

Disappointing facilities, great staff and customer service. A good re-furb needed.

Breakfast was nice. And reception area was lovely. Car parking fantastic and a very clean hotel. Lovely staff and made us feel welcome.

Room 129 was a disappointment. The beds were rock hard and uncomfortable. Airflow was stuffy and suffocating making it difficult to sleep. The decor is outdated, parts of the wallpaper and building fabric were in disrepair. Bathroom was really difficult and impractical to use - e.g. shower cubicle way to small and not enough room for movement. Needs a complete gut out, remodel and refurb. For the price I would have expected a better standard of facilities.

Relaxing, warm and easy

The hotel was warm, clean and easy to access. The pool was warm and cleaned every day. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety and no limit on how much you could have. The staff always had smiles and greeted you warmly. The rooms were cleaned every day. Nothing was too much trouble. The bar was open every night and was well stocked. Would definitely recommend to other travellers. We will be going back. Thank you. Jan

We were there for a week visiting family and other family members stayed close by it just worked.

Super leisure facilities open from 7.30am-7.30pm every day. Sauna did not work whilst we were there but swimming pool and jacuzzi and steam room were great. Bar nice but very quiet and did not accept Scottish money which was odd. Breakfast very good and lots of choice. Service was always quick which was great as we always had a bus or train to catch.Ther

The breakfast were good but the continental breakfast had a lot of bread, with little fruit choice.

The pool and steam room.Beds comfy .Breakfast was good.Very quiet and relaxing.

Small bathroom with a very poor shower and sink in bedroom NO entertainment and further food..I would go back there but in another room with a better shower.

We had a lovely time and breakfast was good too!

The property was clean and perfectly located, only a 2 minute walk to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It seemed a bit old and we were the only ones in the hotel (we were there in February) The pool is in a separate building than the main hotel. There was no robe included or even available. they also charged extra for towels.

Lovely stay yes the rooms are small and the bathroom was small but for what I wanted it for was perfect it was just me and it was just some where to sleep. Room and bathroom were very clean

It is not like what is sold. We had issue with shower. No cold water. Then Jacuzzi and steam room not working When conplained to the manager, rather than apologising started to put accusations

The staff were very friendly and welcoming

This was not a 4 star more like a 3 star. Probably a 4 star years ago but the room was very tired looking and needs a revamp. Was very disappointed with Sandown itself as is very run down such a shame , as has a lovely beach but so many buildings are derelict.
