We had a large comfortable room with everything we needed for a 1 night stay . Lovely location in a small Cotswold village
Good quality breakfast and all the staff we talked to were really helpful
Nothing really but the only thing maybe the bathrooms could do with updating
4.1
Pettifers is a country pub we chose solely for its locational convenience but turned out to be much better than we expected. Well furnished and with real character, and good food much better cooked than your average country pub, provided by a very professional operation run personally by Neil. Our upgraded room - not requested but provided at no extra cost - was comfortable and well furnished and beautifully quiet. Having stayed previously at other more pretentious and expensive hotels nearby we will have no hesitation in preferring Pettifers when in the area.
Nothing.

Nice location, room, friendly staff, tasty breakfast
Incredibly slow service for breakfast
4.1
Lovely breakfast cooked to order.
Had to ask for a pillowcase to be changed and the room had many cobwebs. The cobwebs were wafted away with the pillow case by the owner, not ideal as they landed on the bed.

The location was very good for touring
Unfortunately our room backed on to kitchen, not a problem until we heard a member of kitchen staff, constantly coughing, sneezing and huckling and spitting. This happened several times so much so , it made us feel sick, and couldn’t face eating there, so had to go out for food.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, spacious and clean rooms. Beautiful location.

Comfortable bed and hot shower. Stayed in room 31 so in annex away from main building. Food was excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. Great base for exploring the cotswolds situated in small village of Crudwell.

Easy parking, majority of the staff friendly
Very slow breakfast service, dirty towel (black stains), rooms in serious need of renovation

Friendly staff. Convenient location.
Poor breakfast. Tiny amount of cereal without any fruit available. No marmalade until requested. Cold, hard toast. Room clean but bathroom tired, needed updating. Shower curtain discoloured. No tooth mugs provided. Extortionately priced bottle of mediocre wine £28 and £12 for large glass of rose! Very limited dinner menu.
All staff seemed to be inexperienced but tried their best.

Gardens lovely nice outdoor furniture
Food good
Beds need replacing dbl was so lumpy uncomfortable , 1 single so hard
Stains on wall, carpet dirty very worn
Chair at dressing table full of dust.
Bathroom handrail on wall falling off not good as shower was in bath!! Bath panel rotting cracked water leaking, vanity unit chipped at bottom very dated all needs riping out and replacing, needs a proper big head shower, bathroom big, potential for a great big shower enclosure with modern hand basin and toilet.
Restaurant needs proper menu covers nor just a piece of paper not hygienic!! Floor in bar / breakfast area dirty floor not washed or hoovered from the night before!

Convenient location, huge car park, lovely downstairs area and very nice food. Very welcoming staff and well stocked bar. Nice areas to relax in the communal area as well.
The room was very tired and old-fashioned, very 70/80's. The bathrooms especially. The rooms could do with modernising.
Thin walls and floors combined with people banging doors when coming and going meant it was quite noisy in the room.

Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was also a good size and the shower had good pressure and the water was always hot. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Our dog was very welcome anywhere in the hotel, including the restaurant and they even provided a sausage for her for breakfast!
Everything was lovely, I have no negative comments.

classy style, nice lobby and restaurant all very cosy. bathroom was an impressive size, loved the desk for my paperwork. biscuits a nice touch. The shower was incredibly powerful, great to start the day fresh with that. staff were very friendly and flexible to my requests.
the bathroom in desperate need of renovation. some areas needed deeper cleaning and the bathroom ceiling had some black mould spots growing
