It was cozy and beautiful and relaxing
There wasn’t any , staff were super friendly even though for a local . The best customer service I have ever had . Even better than many 5 star hotels in Sri Lanka

The camp is big and it was an overall great experience. Tent was large, with clean sheets and hot water. Nice design.
There are peacocks, rabits and landmonitors around, and we heard and saw many birds. No mosquitos 🤷🏼♀️.At night we used flashlights to get around.
Food was really good, dinner was soup + barbeque (pork and chicken) and for breakfast we had eggs, local food, fruits.
The camp is very close -20 min to the Park entrance
The safari was also a great experience, we had Mr Solomon with us, he shared a lot of interesting things, he gave binoculars and had a book with birds.
Staff very friendly and helpfull.
They could ad some AC, it was very hot and the fans were not enough to bring confort.
Also at dinner some delicate lights above the table would be nice to help see better what we eat.
I do understand that this camp is in the jungle, that there are many birds and insects, but considering the tents have many facilities, AC would be welcomed.

We stayed 01 night.. Comfortable tent and delicious food. They organized a excellent jeep safari and Udawalawe national park with an expert naturalist. Campsite staff very helpful. Thanks for the super service.

We had an amazing experience and a wonderful overnight stay here at Mahoora Udawalawa. Our tent was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We greatly enjoyed all of our meals. The BBQ dinner was served in an amazing atmosphere with a bonfire and the personalized service in the wilderness is an experience you should get. The staff were all very warm and friendly and the service was impeccable. In particular, we wish to thank Solomon who was our host and guide on the game drives - he was very hospitable and had great knowledge of the local flora/fauna, and we really enjoyed our time with him. We loved the quiet / secluded location of the camp - you really felt like you were in the heart of nature. We went out on an afternoon game drive and an early morning game drive, which were both great experiences. A highly recommended place to experience the camping atmosphere and to stay overnight if you are visiting Udawalawa National Park.

It was an exceptional experience in the wilderness.
To begin with the climate was ideal for my glamping stay. The serenity of the location along with a lake to spot wildlife in the visinity was fabulous. The large tents with clean attached bathrooms, and a living area inbuilt was a plus. Enjoyed the nature walk and the safari was exceptional with the very experienced guides. Furthermore the dinner ambience made me feel special sarounded by lanterns and a bonfire. Next time I surly visit the place with my family and highly recommend it to all.

The best experience ever! The tents are absolutely gorgeous and the detail incredible.
We had a very warm welcome from our Senior Naturalist, Prince Solomon. He greeted us with cold refreshing drinks and explained the schedule.
We very much enjoyed the safari and saw lots of different birds and wild elephants.
Once back at camp, we were met with hot drinks and sandwiches before being guided back to our tents with hot water to soak our feet waiting.
They had lit all the candles in the tent and incense and it felt so cosy and special.
We then had dinner under the stars with a bonfire with the most delicious food and unlimited beer/wine. Both lunch and dinner were 5 courses and so good! Our waiter was also very attentive, very polite and made us feel welcome.
In the morning we had another delicious meal; breakfast. Solomon also gave us the opportunity to go on a nature walk but we didn’t have time, but worth doing if you can.
All the staff were brilliant and made us feel like royalty! I would be back in a heart beat. Thank you Prince Solomon and team.
We had a little bit of an issue with our toilet not flushing but the staff were very attentive and quick to rectify issue/provide solution. We had a great time regardless.
Be warned that once you arrive at the safari a “tracker” joins the jeep with you. They are paid by the government and legally have to be on the jeep. But they will try telling you that they are volunteers as they want a tip. Don’t be fooled by this. Luckily our naturalist explained the situation in advance.

The staff were helpful, hardworking and friendly.
Proximity to Udawalawe National Park
Naturalist allocated to our safaris was excellent - his love of elephants was infectious and his knowledge and explanations detailed and impressive.
Food was plentiful but the quality of some dishes could be better.
