The staff are amazing..every single one of them..they work so hard to make the resort run smoothly.. we loved our little hut with a thatched roof and tiny door, we loved the open air bathroom, the bed was firm and so comfy. If you prefer 5 star book the fancy beachfront duolexes. The food is delicious the daily hot breakfast is so plentiful, lunch and dinner always proteins fish chicken pork beef, salads, eggplant or spinach in coconut milk, curries..The setting is idyllic beautiful clear water really paradise. Activities are plentiful if the weather is rainy or overcast. The island shows are amazing especially the evening ones.
Perfect balance if relaxation and fun!
It was a minor thing for us but more towels needed. Being an island all the laundry is taken to the mainland..sometimes there were pool/beach towels sometimes there weren't. Sometimes housekeeping take your bathroom towels but make sure you ask for more! Housekeeping meant to be every 3 days but sometimes this doesn't happen, again ask for what you need. This didn't worry us.
Again really minor considering all the wonderful glowing things I reported on but More table tennis bats..get 10 from Temu!!
We were curious about sustainability and they have master plans for solar and doing away with rhe daily free plastic bottles of water they give you so it's coming! Remember they are still recovering from Covid times.

The lady making the omelettes was very friendly. There was a day we had some tradition breakfast which was amazing.
More traditional breakfast.

Where do I start - Likuri island resort was such an awesome experience for us, and a real highlight of our 10day Fiji trip. We stayed here 2 nights / 3 days. The staff team were incredible and made us feel like part of the family right away, big call out to Sean and Sam for their cheeky humour, amongst other talents. The staff on island multitasked from serving, to dancing and everything in between! Our stay was timed to arrive on a Tuesday and leave on a Thursday meaning we had Wednesday evening dance/ fire show.
Throughout each day multiple activities were offered , all included in the cost of the stay. We did: snorkelling trips, coconut jewellery making , coconut tree climbing demonstration, lovo pit digging and fire walking, crab tasting, evening shows , kayaking, paddle boarding!but also spent a lot of time in between relaxing on the beach, swimming and interacting with others on holiday .
There is a variety of accomodation types on the island and from my interactions with others there were a mix bag of expectation, and reality. I knew what we had booked (garden burre) and what I was expecting was on par. The bed was firm and comfortable, evenings were breezy and so happily cool temps to sleep with no aircon needed. I had also read about the extra costs on arrival (Aug 24- $119pp per day for food , and $119 fjd for the boat transfer). I understand possible to miss this information and only see the beautiful top tier room offering in the first pics. So have a look into the room types.
I haven’t been to a 5* island resort (yet), and I wasn’t expecting Likuri to be a 5 * island resort- thus my expectation was on par, actually quite happily above due to the incredible staff! We were looking for the all inclusive island experience without the $$$$ tag, and I think we nailed it. We would love to come back. Thanks again.

Perfect location, anazing, welcoming staff, lots to do if you want to (nature walks, snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding, table tennis, games, cooking demos, karaoke etc) or just relax on a beach lounger, in a hammock or wicker chair reading a book from the library - all on the beautiful white sand with palm trees all around.
I loved the salt water pool too as an alternative to sea swimming.
A great show of island dancing, including machete & spectacular fire dances a few times a week.
Plenty of food supplied for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Delicious cocktails at reasonable prices too :)
Feels like a true Fijian experience. Loved it!
A rat got into my bure at night which kept me awake. I didn't like that

It was such a treat to be away from cars, roads, and bustle on a private island with our own dining service and cultural activities, trips and entertainment provided as part of the lodging cost! The staff was made of warm, friendly, multi-talented Fijians, many from local villages, who kept things running smoothly and who obviously loved working at the resort!
Keep in mind it does take at least an hour from the airport to get to the jetty and if traffic is bad it could take closer to 2 hours! But the resort can arrange a good taxi and will have a boat waiting for a 20 minute ride down the river to the sea to finally arrive at the island where you will be greeted with a welcome song.

The staff were super helpful and accommodating. I requested an upgrade on arrival to spare my daughter my snoring and they easily made that happen. The beach was beautiful and it was a very relaxing place to stay.
Transport options from the mainland side were a little limited but relatively easy to arrange.

Small, quiet and beautiful. Close to Nadi for a quick break during a work trip. Staff are incredible, they work so hard and we were very appreciative of all the work they did. Food was lovely, more than enough. If people want to eat and stay five star you need to pay for that in Fiji. This is a no frills, relaxing place. I stayed in a beachfront Bure which was lovely, hammocks out the front, ideal place to relax with a book. Some of the other room options are quite small. I thought the costs for meals were fine, you would pay more in almost any resort. Day trips do come in but I didn’t find that to intrusive, most people are off on tours or just relaxing. A few cool activities run during the day which give you the chance to meet other people. Staff were the highlight!!!!
Whining guests with insane expectations were my only issue and this had nothing to do with the property.

gorgeous location on beautiful sandy beach, lots of fun family activities during the day including free access to all the cultural tours that visit the island. kayaking and paddle boarding fun. staff were so friendly and had lots of great ideas for the property. we stayed in beachfront bungalow which was lovely very comfortable with gorgeous views of beach right from doorstep. my 4yo son loved his time here lots of activities and fun exploring the island hunting for crabs, frogs and coconuts. we enjoyed the food, it was a bit repetitive but very tasty especially the eggplant dish!
main generator was broken down so power in our units sometimes went off, especially if people tried to use the aircon. but it was lovely just with the fan and the sea breeze. meal plan is compulsory so better to just increase price and show whole value up front. still good value for money.

The staff are what make this place. They are cheerful, friendly and helpful. Many of them play multiple roles, moving between routine tasks to greeting guests with singing when a boat arrives, to dancing at their spectacular performance in the evening, to demonstrating traditional skills. We very much enjoyed and appreciated the multi-talented staff, and their warm and friendly hospitality.
We were somewhat hesitant about the resort on arrival. It appears a little scruffy and basic. But after a period of cultural adaptation, we didn't want to leave! On reflection, we found it a wonderfully authentic experience.
The island is located close to the mouth of a river, and snorkellers are taken by boat out to the reef. As we didn't snorkel, we can't comment on the quality of the reef or snorkelling.
If you are after a high-end resort, this place is definitely not for you, but if you are after a village style experience with a fun ride out to the island in a basic boat from a ricketry jetty, and genuine warm and friendly hospitality, then you will love this place!

the room looking to the ocean. the island is quiet and beautiful. staff was so friendly and helpful. lots of fun activities for entertainment
the kettle was broken, sometimes water stopped. my daughter was having a shower and suddenly no more water. the food can be better for the price (almost AUD35 per meal).

Breakfast was OK, however it was the same menu everyday, catering facilities and food presentations require major improvements
Not until we arrived on Likuri Island and settled into our first accommodation we became aware their was no air conditioning- AC in the 'Bure', heat was too much so with the advice of other tourists who had already experienced this we up graded to another Bure which did provide AC with additional costs of FJD $300.00 per unit.
Another realization was that their was no other restaurants or retail facilities on the island when we accepted being provided with breakfast only, this meant we had no choice but to have Robinson Crusoe Likuri Island meals which was disappointing.
We accept this but it was not identified until we were sorting our additional charges. Again evidence of hidden costs.
Breakfast was OK, however it was the same menu everyday, this was the same for the lunch and dinner menu, catering facilities and food presentations require major improvements, my rating out of 0 to 10, 10 being the best, 0 worst-case. I rate this stay at Likuri Island resort very disappointing.
Constant smell of toilet Septic.
No facility to cook or prepare own meals or fridge in the unit we stayed in.
Eating the same menu for 6 days
Shocked by additional exuberant final charges on last day prior to exiting likuri Island and what was withdrawn from my bank account;
1st April 2023, FJD $1305.00 Robinson Crusoe
5th April FJD $2000.00 Robinson Crusoe
5th April FJD $568.79 Robinson Crusoe

staff is amazing and very helpful, food is nice and the night attractions were a good fun
transport is a bit difficult and expensive, a bit of noise in the middle of the night, average comfort in the facilities. but the staff definitively tried to help with everything and covered most of the issues so it’s not bad

It was absolutly stunning! I loved staying at the likuri 😊. The staff was so nice and helpful! We did amazing things and had a nice time together. The evening Shows were the Best! I would really recommend it for you!

Very friendly and multitalented staff. They put on a variety of cool activities and impressive dancing, fire-dancing and knife juggling, all while making us feel very welcome.
Beautiful scenery and ocean views, perfect for chilling on a sunlounger or hammock.
Good food with decent variety.
Beaches on the island have low visibility in the water so not ideal for snorkeling - but the staff do put on frequent boat trips out to snorkel in the ocean when it's not too stormy.

The staff were amazing and friendly. The cultural show was sensational. The location was brilliant. The beachfront bures were amazing. Hanging out with the locals nightly and listening to music and drinking kava was incredible. Definitely worth visiting this island.
Just a shame after the floods debris was washed up on the shore but that is mother nature for you.

I stayed in October and told my daughter how great it was. She went in January and has said the island is a fantastic place to stay. The staff, food and entertainment is fantastic.

Great for people like us who are new to Fiji, we get to experience the island lifestyle, exploring, many local activities, culture, performances. Check the activity/performance schedules from Robinson Crusoe Island Tours to see which days have which activities. The people are super friendly. Rooms are nice and spacious, mostly clean. Breakfast is basic but fine, one day of 3 we were there, there were eggs available. Even though the weather was not nice when we were there, the lovely staff made sure we had a great relaxing time. We learnt how to weave and make coconut shell necklaces. Shaun and his friends were amazing, all the time working hard but always smiling and making you feel a part of the island. Canoing around the island was also fun. The food was cooked in a local style and yummy. We were very sad to leave Likuri Island. Even though we went for a nice place after there nothing felt as good as there. Thank you!
Some fees might catch the unaware traveller off guard. Apart from the accommodation which includes breakfast there is a compulsory lunch/dinner package which is likely more than the cost of the accommodation through booking.com (it's a lovely wholesome buffet though with helal and fish options). Internet is for a fee and not in the rooms.
We went in the rainy season and it was muddy water on the (close, nice) beach from the estuary the island lives in and because of the weather we were not able to get good snorkelling when we went on the snorkelling trip. We loved it anyway.

most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
There are lots of hidden charges. The transfer from jetty to the island cost $51 per adult each way! for the whole family over $200 to get to the island!!!that's excessive. there are no options to eat any other food but buffet provided by the island and that's very costly too ($60 pp for dinner) especially for the lack of quality food and options
I spent money more here in two days than 5 days at the Warwick. The ganaral manager, was not friendly or helpful at all. I felt her behaviour was partial. left a bad taste. would not go back.

Rainy with murky beach but other guests said before this it was blue and beautiful. Just bad luck for us.
Food was tasty local buffet, not so much fancy-resort style. We liked it but some guests expected different.
Tour boats to island every day with lots of cultural activities to tag along for (fire dancing show, nature walk, basket weaving).
Moved to Beachfront Bure midstay, which was very nice; the other options are a bit rustic/dated.

we loved the stay here the accommodation is basic but we loved it. the staff I felt made the effort to make you feel valued. the shows were great. the food was good home cooking a little carb heavy but delicious. we would definitely come back again.
sadly all the rubbish on the beach was awful including what looked like burned plastic bottles. sadly when we were there the water was not nice and blue like the pictures due to being the rainy season.

Very little
Food was very poor. Accommodation was primitive. Totally overpriced. Rip off culture - an omlet for breakfast costs extra. Offered a taxi back to Nadi at $100 when there was a bus going at $18 per person. Told we weren't booked on the boat over to the island - how were we to get there ? Not much to do in the rainy season.
