An amazing hotel. Definitely returning. Friendly staff, great location. Love it

Great stay, very comfortable although not a fan of the sloped roof in the India Mews. The soundproofing is a little poor, as could hear neighbours marching around. Otherwise, staff were excellent and attentive, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options and the grounds are spectacular. You feel transported to another, classier and more wonderful era.

Our stay was amazing,a stunning place

I only had a quick visit to Berwick Lodge, late arrival and early departure , but it was a very comfortable stay with a lovely breakfast in the morning. A little pricey compared to others but still nice regardless. Will happily return

A beautiful hotel in extensive grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.
The only problems we encountered was the tiny bathroom with a low beam which resulted in banging ones head if not extremely careful, and the room door which could be closed only by giving it a loud bang, and the handle being prone to fall off.

Stayed here previously and we had a good room in the main house. This time we were in the annexe (Caspian) and the room was small with no soundproofing from the adjoining room (you could hear next doors TV loud and clear). Avoid the annexe!!!

A Hidden Gem of a Hotel. Staff Are All very Friendly and made us Feel very Welcome. Food is First Class. Grounds are very well Manicured. Excellent base for Visiting Bristol, but you will need a Car as Hotel is off the Beaten track.

Was an amazing experience, extremely comfy bed, such a unique room and a great bathroom too. Will definitely come back. Only issue I came across was the walls are quite thin so could hear the reception area from our booked room and the room above ours had squeaky floors, so could hear them move about and use their shower. Was only a minor inconvenience

I upgraded the room on arrival. I asked for extra milk and tea on evening and had to ask again the following morning as we didn’t receive it. Upgraded room was lovely staff always friendly but our room had mould in shower I did report this to reception. I thought they might of discounted the bill on check out but didn’t which surprised me.

Our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

This is not a 5 star hotel ! Don’t have time to go into detail.

Fantastic boutique hotel, friendly attentive staff, lovely building.
Superb.

Really nice place. Lovely location. Friendly staff. A place of character and charm. Within easy reach of retail park (although you wouldn't know it) and Avonside Docks

We had a wonderful 2-night stay. The Ionia suite is wonderful with its huge bathroom and balcony! We ate at the restaurant our first night and had a tasty meal. This is a wonderful setting so close to Bristol’s services. If driving yourself, look at the signs closely or you’ll think you’ve only found a narrow drive to a sports facility.

That car park was quite poorly lit and the room was in an annexe away from the hotel up a steep set of iron stairs. The heating in the room didn’t work whilst I was there and the temperature in the rim was 10c . The Caspian room which I stayed in was very small considering it cost £144 … the bathroom was freezing cold … glad Ti
Leave.

A hidden gem. Dripping with history and class.

We stayed overnight the day after our wedding in the Troya room. Taken aback by the decor especially the bathroom which is just stunning! Classical music playing as we entered the room was a lovely touch. We then had a leisurely afternoon tea the following day which was a lovely way to extend the experience a little longer.
The grounds are so beautiful, already looking for an excuse to return.
Yes it is expensive but we found it good value when compared with comparable venues.

Beautiful property, very clean, courteous and professional staff. On-site dining is pricey, but lovely. Absolutely recommend.

Room was unnecessarily congested with too much furniture thus limited area for our own gear. Staff not the friendliest. Never advised of construction detour making it difficult to locate .

The minute we turned the corner and saw this beautiful building we knew our stay would be amazing .The twin room we booked was delightful we had an amazing view and the small balcony helped us enjoy it all the more.
After a long journey we went on a lovely walk within the grounds of this delightful hotel .
We would most definitely stay again my friend and I have known each other for over 50/
Years and where celebrating our 60 th birthdays next time we will bring our other half’s
Strongly recommend this beautiful hotel.

A very nice hitel, lovely stuff, delicious food.
The only minus - my room was very small.- just a bed - no chair, no little table . Even fir one person it is just a sleeping space.
But still will come back when will be in Bristol.

Excellent find - picked to break journey down to Cornwall .
Lovely place to stay ,we recommend it

Lovely grounds and property, very nice staff, great service and amazing food. The only thing that was a little disappointing was how much noise came in through the windows (e.g., parking area has pebbles which make a lot of noise when someone even walks on them early morning) and through from other rooms. Also might be a good idea to check whether there are any events on site - there was a wedding when we were there which meant that some rooms weren't usable (e.g., the only communal lounge room near the reception, half of the restaurant)

Everything was amazing we are definitely Going back we’ve already booked Would recommend to anyone

We had the smallest room, by choice. Unfortunately this should really be a single room. The room was only set up for one, tea and coffee and one cup! The shower/toilet was tiny. Difficult to sit on the toilet in such a small space.
I took a shower in the morning. The water did not drain quickly enough which resulted in the toilet section flooding. I mopped this up with a towel, again only enough for one.
Service was polite and helpful when required but as a hotel attempting to showcase itself as a top establishment and pricing itself as such, I found the accommodation disappointing.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable but the rest of the stay was excellent

Lovely building. Comfortable bed. Unusably tiny toilet and shower, and I'm not a tall or fat chap!

Beautiful property, excellent staff. Truly luxurious.

ZegumaThe bed frame is way to big for this room you have to squeeze yourself between the posts and the sloped ceiling or though columns. I like a firm mattress, however I’d never experienced a mattress as firm as this, it felt like laying on a carpeted floor. It took a while to get to sleep. Room looked great though and the meal was lovely.

The property and gardens were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed staying overnight here. It was clean and the dinner was excellent.

Second floor room was cramped and limited with space due to pitch of ceiling. Room was expensive. Wifi good.

The staff are extremely welcoming and the rooms are beautiful. I was a guest at a wedding and stayed the night, they staff made the wedding seem less from beginning to end. The food was lovely and the grounds are stunning. Would recommend for a little luxury get away.

Fabulous hotel, friendly helpful staff, beautiful setting.

I felt the cost of breakfast of £15 per head was high on top of what we paid

Room was jaw dropping, the shower was great, room service very prompt.. two let downs tea cups way way to small and no bath. Breakfast was ok but a tad expensive. The evening meal was astoundingly scrummy

Beautiful place to stay

Beautiful place, pleasant team and peaceful surroundings. My only gripe was the over firmness of the mattress but feedback was welcomed and hopefully we'll be back :)
