About this cottage rental
Enjoy a sophisticated break away at this stunning historic stately home set in its own private grounds, with superb luxury facilities. Create wonderful family memories, celebrate birthdays, occasions, or just get everyone together to enjoy some quality time.
Dating from the 1690's, and set in 55 acres of private parkland, this incredible castle has been lovingly restored with remarkable attention to detail, anticipating every need of the discerning modern-day holiday guest. Welcoming up to 22 people across 11 individually styled beautiful en-suite bedrooms , there is incredible architecture, gorgeous furnishings and spectacular views at every turn.
Guests have full use of the house including the huge farmhouse style kitchen, state dining room, drawing room, morning room, and living room to cook meals or dine alfresco using the BBQ with outdoor seating on the terrace overlooking the River Tamar.
All first-floor rooms have views overlooking the river or gardens. Our ground floor bedroom has been adapted for those withlimited mobility, offering a wet room style en-suite with height adjustable shower and shower seat.
All rooms are super-king as standard, apart from one twin room. However seven of the super-king rooms can be configured as two singles instead (please request in advance).
Friends and family can spend summer days relaxing by the outdoor solar-heated swimming pool (March -Oct) or enjoy winter nights in the drawing room watching the open fire. There is also a games room with widescreen smart TV, billiards, table tennis and dartboard.
There are woodland gardens in the 55-acre estate offering many lovely walks, and for those who like a river dip, there is a path down to the bathing hut on the quay.
Please note:
Pets are welcome however are only allowed in selected bedrooms, no more than 2 dogs per bedroom, and a maximum of four dogs in total per booking. There is also a room on the ground floor that dogs can sleep in if they are not staying in bedrooms.
This property is to sleep a maximum of 22 guests, at that, 4 single beds can be utilised in bedrooms and common areas for optimal sleeping configurations.
