About this house rental
The Little Dune Beach House is a light, bright and airy. The house has parking for up to 4 cars. Up a short flight of stairs will bring you to the massive 10 foot by 40 foot deck, complete with an outdoor sectional, fire table, outdoor dining table and ocean views! Inside the front door you are immediately greeted with vaulted beautiful ceilings and an open kitchen, dining and living room. The dining room seats 8. The kitchen has an island that seats 2. The living room has a sectional which pulls out to a queen size bed. Off the living room is the full bathroom with walk in shower. Off the living room you will also find 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with 2 twin sized bunk beds. Off the kitchen is the sunroom, with another pull-out sofa, the washer and dryer, and a workspace. The sunroom also leads you on one end to another door out to the deck. And on the other end leads you to the third large bedroom, with a queen size bed, twin futon, and an attached half bath.
Steps away from the front door, and a short stroll through the dunes gets you right on Broadkill Beach and the Delaware Bay. The beach is never crowded and dogs are allowed year round!
Broadkill Beach is a small beach community located between the Primehook National Wildlife Refuge and the Delaware Bay, yet only 15-20 minutes from the great restaurants, activities and nightlife offered in downtown Lewes, Milton and Rehoboth. The community has a general store, the Broadkill Store, located 1/2 a mile from the house, which is open May through September, and sells pizza, sandwiches, ice cream, ice and a limited selection of groceries and toiletry items. They also rent bicycles and make fresh donuts on the weekends during the summer! Right across from the the Broadkill Store are the communities only public parking spots (about 10 of them). No where else in the neighborhood is public parking on the streets allowed, which makes the beach access limited to those who are staying in the houses.

The location is great, but a little more effort would go a long way. The house was mostly as described however there were old fly tape strips still hanging and we were disappointed at the state of the outdoor deck. It was very dirty and we found a liquid fly trap that smelled like a dead animal.

My friends and I stayed here for a beach and golf vacation and it met all expectations. The house was very nice and just a short walk to the beach. Would definitely do this again.

Our stay at the Little Dune Beach House was absolutely fantastic. The home was extremely cozy and charming. Bright and comfortable inside and out and steps from the beach. Julia the host was very kind with us bringing our doggies and really made our stay very nice. We look forward to coming back again . Joyce & Gary

House was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Had plenty of room for four adults, 4 children and two dogs. Beds were comfortable. We cooked most of our meals at the house and there were plenty of pots, dishes, glassware, utensils, spices, etc., to make some delicious meals. House is right off the beach and we spent lots of time fishing and swimming. This area is very quiet and relaxing. Just a short distance to Milton and Lewes, where we went to Paradise Grill, Dogfish Head Brewery, Oyster Bay Brewery and Crooked Hammock Brewery for some great lunches and beverages. And they were kid friendly! Would stay at this great house again. Thank you Julia for allowing us to use your house.

We had a great week at Broadkill! Low key beach area and the house was a very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed everything about the property.

The listing for this house was on point! There were 4 adults staying here and it was just the right size. And although the listing says there is no dishwasher, one was recently added. The beach is literally steps away, which made daily walks on the beach so easy, especially with the outdoor shower! Julia was very responsive to an issue that came up. Up the street is a small store that serves food and ice cream, as well as freshly made-to-order donuts on the weekend, as long as they're ordered the day before. Besides enjoying the beach every day, we ate dinner in Rehoboth, checked out Lewes, did the brewery tour at Dogfish Head, tasted different Meade at the Brimming Horn Meadery while playing one of their many games and listening to live music, and ate ice cream at Hopkins Farm Creamery. I also made 3 trips to The SipUrban Farmhouse Coffee House in downtown Milton. I am SO thankful I found this house to enjoy a week with my family, it was just the right balance of fun and relaxation!

The Little Dune Beach House was clean, cozy and had everything we needed. Julia was very responsive and nice. It is steps to the beach it was just me and my husband so it was plenty big. But it’s a great design for more people in a small house. We had a great stay and I’d come back for sure if I was ever in the area.

We rented Little Dune Beach House as additional house for a larger family gathering at Broadkill Beach. Our family guests that stayed here absolutely loved it. It was perfect for 4 adults (and had extra sleeping for more). Very clean. Close to beach. Close to the Broadkill store. Quiet. Nice new upgrades. (Outdoor shower got great feedback from the guests) Everything you could ask for. And Julia was perfect host. Very responsive and accommodating. Definitely would stay again.

We had a two day tournament at the DE Turf Sports Complex and the house was a great location for the girls to gather after a long day of games. We really enjoyed how close the beach was. The house is super cute and looks like the pictures. For sure would stay again next tournament.

We had a fantastic time at the beach. The property was in the perfect place for easy beach access. The cottage had all the amenities needed or wanted for our stay, very comfortable and lots of little details to make things easy and pleasant. Julia was great to communicate with and we just loved our stay. This is a quiet and accessible location that is now a new favorite place for us.

We chose Little Dune Beach house in Broadkill DE because of its proximity to the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge and Cape Henelopen. Our multi-family group was diverse in age, so the three bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking ware, dishware, spices and cooking oil. Very much appreciate the thoughtfulness of all the amenities.

This charming beach house nestled in the dunes of Broadkill was our perfect winter weekend getaway!
We couldn't wait to explore the beach on the Delaware Bay just steps away! We love winter beaches, and Broadkill did not disappoint!
Julia was the best and made sure we had everything we needed before and during our visit. She provided recommendations on local eateries and activities to do as needed. Her communication exceeded our expectations.
When we arrived we were greeted with thoughtful touches like cozy throws, a bright beachy pallette, and lights to see our way in.
The clever division of the bedrooms provides privacy with enough space to comfortably sleep a large family or two small. Our daughter was a huge fan of the trundle bunk beds and just couldn't wait to get in. She was also a fan of the stocked board games like Candyland and Guesstures to keep the fun going inside.
The quaint kitchen was perfectly stocked to cook our own meals and some warming hot chocolate when we got back from our adventures.
When not at the house, we explored Cape Henlopen State Park, just under a 20 minute drive, offering beaches, a nature museum, and Ft. Miles. We discovered some great food options at both Zavas Cafe and Dogfish Head Brewery in local Milford.
We are already looking forward to our next stay at the Little Dune...maybe this time when it's a little warmer. 😀
