Very nice hotel stay

The location is excellent. Overall, the staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious and decent, but they do not meet the high-end quality I imagined when booking. It's an average hotel, but it has a few drawbacks.
Firstly, it was listed as offering free breakfast, but instead of an actual free breakfast, they provide a credit that can be used like a voucher for the total amount. The breakfast itself is not great for the price, so it doesn’t seem worth selecting. Additionally, there is no bathtub in the bathroom, which is a disappointing omission.
The tap water is also quite murky. They claim it’s mineral water, but it just looks dirty. Being sensitive, I also experienced minor skin irritation after using the water.
The pool and fitness center are somewhat small but usable. This hotel is $40–50 more expensive than others, and I booked it for the pool and breakfast as its advantages, but they weren’t particularly necessary, as the experience is ultimately similar to other hotels.
It wasn’t a bad experience, but I’ll likely try other hotels next time.

It was a great stay. The only downside was that the pool was cold.
Besides that, everything was great. The bed is very comfortable

This was a great hotel, huge rooms, huge tv and in a very safe area. The only point I would make is that there are no microwaves, community or otherwise. But we will definitely re-book at this hotel when traveling to Portland!

It was a good location in downtown Portland, close to a lot of places with in walking distance. We like to visit Portland and this might be our go to place.

No fan in the bathroom, dim lighting, makeup mirror with light did not work. Friends got a suite expecting a room with a view, more space and privacy since we were there celebrating a birthday, got no view, same room size as us and had noise complaints at midnight.

This is our third stay in 12 months. We love the location, property and vibe. We feel safe. This is a walkable city with many dining options.
Unfortunately, our interaction with the front desk staff when checking in was uncomfortable. We were confused why our diamond perks were not being honored and it was explained, but our room assignment and no welcome bag let us know our business is not appreciated here. We could not open the drapery, because our room was courtyard level, facing couches guests sat on throughout our stay, and we had zero privacy. The welcome bag gives us each a bottle of water, but to withhold it from us was petty. We spend many nights in hotels yearly. We will not be returning to the Duniway hotel on our next Portland stay.

The front desk was not helpful or friendly. I had to call 4 times to request a receipt to be sent to me. I was not welcomed in a friendly manner. I am a long-time Hilton customer. I hoped a boutique hotel would have a more customer service-minded stance. I could have chosen from so many other hotels.

The girls at the front desk were clearly inconvenienced by anyone checking in , including myself . They were rude , very uninformative , the only other staff I saw was not helpful in any way. The area outside the elevators in parking garage were piled with trash . The room was alright but for what I paid I expected way nicer . I will not be returning that’s for sure .

The building itself is beautiful, located in a great area in Portland. The Mayrose restaurant was delicious! I also think it was great that the pool was located in the middle flooring so you did not have to walk through the lobby after swimming. Concierge was a great guy, very courteous and helpful in whatever situation. Robert is amazing! Thanks all.

Bed Sheet was dirty upon check in and no house keeping available to change the bedding so had to request a room change. No vending machines available and no close by convenience stores.

Great room, fantastic staff, lived the robes and the books. Suggestions: nightlight in the bathroom, a way to make hot tea.

I found the Staff and service at this hotel abysmal. We only stayed two nights and I couldn’t wait to leave. Wish I had booked at a Marriott or other. Cassandra was really rude at front. We asked for a corkscrew and were sent on a wild goose chase to multiple staff and ultimately had to bring the wine downstairs to have it opened. What large scale hotel doesn’t have a corkscrew to send to a room?! That is how bad this place is. Hate to complain but this was a bad experience.

Did a road trip from Vancouver to LA and stop by Portland . The Duniway is the worst hotel we did , staff is terrible specially the front desk ! Also Portland is very dirty , homeless everywhere but we are ok because we come from Van . There is nothing special to do there so it’s a city to avoid .Good point to the architecture , I’m sure it used to be a great city before Covid , now it’s a ghost town with rude people.
