About this house rental

Albinhaven is nestled in the tall pines along beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. This two-level bungalow is located on the west side of the lake just a twenty minute drive from Coeur d’Alene. The recently renovated home features four bedrooms, three baths, kitchen and a spacious living room/dining area with outdoor deck overlooking the tranquil and scenic lakefront with two hundred feet of private beachfront. The lower daylight basement level is provides a game room and two lower level bedrooms and bath.

Albinhaven is one of the few lake locations with sandy beach and a gentle sloping lot making the property and lake easy to access year around. Walk down to the expansive private beach to enjoy the lake or gather round the fire ring and roast hotdogs and marshmallows.

The bungalow provides a mix of classic features such as an original wood burning cook stove and a collection of original mid-century modern furniture. Picture windows in each room guarantee that your view is spectacular from morning to night.

Enjoy preparing meals in the vintage-inspired kitchen as you gaze upon stunning lake views, or head out on the deck and cook over the gas grill. The main floor bedrooms can sleep five comfortably. There is a master suite with queen bed and private bath and a bunk room with a full bed and twin and separate bath. The lower level features a room with king bed and two twin (trundle) beds and a room with two twins. The newly renovated bathroom and a game room are also provided on this floor. If you tire of the views and outdoor amenities, a TV with cable and a DVD player are also provided. The dock is 40 feet long and easily accommodates boats and jet skis.

As one of the most beloved destinations in all of Idaho, Coeur d'Alene is an ideal getaway for lovers of the outdoors. Grab a beach chair and spend the day reading on the lakeshore, pick up some local produce at the downtown farmers market, or treat your kids to an afternoon at Silverwood Theme Park just north of town. Visit during one of the many special events such as Ironman, Car d’Alene, Art on the Green or the best 4th of July celebration in these parts. The house is easily accessible to the bike course for Ironman and of course your own private lake access is great for acclimating to the water. The bungalow also boasts a two car garage for easy storage of your equipment. In 2019, we put in a new water system, new roof and air conditioner.

We had a lovely family vacation at this property! The property was well-kept, and the house was large enough to accommodate our family of 9 comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The beach was wonderful! Best part-no stairs to walk down to the water! The beach was nice and sandy, there was a fire pit and plenty of chairs to seat everyone. There is a new boat dock with a bench and a swimming ladder. This was nice for the kiddos to jump off and swim. The water in this area of the lake is very clear, no milfoil until you get into deep water. The owners were very nice, and responded to messages promptly. 10/10 would recommend for family vacations!

This was our second year at the property, and it was wonderful once again. The house has everything we needed for two families with younger kids. The outdoor area, dock, and firepit made for endless summer fun. Thank you again for a great stay. We hope to be back again next year!

This place did not disappoint! Perfect for families of all ages. The beach area was wonderfully equipped with Adirondack chairs, loungers, umbrellas and fire pit. The dock and swimming area are were perfect for days on the lake.The house was very comfortable and well stocked. We have already rebooked for next year. Definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at Albinhaven. You can tell the property is family- owned, and well loved and cared for. We stayed with two families of four with young kids between 5-8 years old. It was a perfect setup with one family upstairs and the other downstairs. We loved the beach access and unlike many properties on this lake - it was easy to get to and from the dock (not steep with intense stairs or lift from the lake to the house). The photos in the listing don’t show the brand new dock - it is awesome and kept our boat nice and protected. Launching from Mica bay marina was quick and easy. We will be back next year!

The beach, lake and dock are better than pictured, the definite star of the property! House is a little dated but overall very clean, comfortable, very well stocked, and bedrooms were great size. Near all fun activities, we rented a pontoon from the marina, Silverwood one day, roller skating rink and bowling on a rainy day, it was an amazing trip! Instacart was also very quick and easy to use while there. Would highly recommend this home and would definitely consider staying here again when in Couer d’Alene. Thank you!

This was a great house in a nice location. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and group gathering places. Really nice dock and beach area with plenty of outdoor furniture provided. The hosts were very helpful and were quick to respond to any issues we would definitely come back here again.

The home was easily accessible, close to downtown CDA and great lake access. Mica Bay boat launch is a few miles away. The home is a bit cluttered and we found a few items left from the previous renters, e.g., bag of pills, so the cleaning could be improved. The kitchen was stocked adequately but the dishes and things are old. It was nice to have access to the garage as it poured one night. There are plenty of inside & outside chairs, beds are comfortable and the owner was very responsive to questions. The daylight basement is quite chilly so pack a sweatshirt.

We stayed a week in May with our Daughter and Husband. This house was perfect for us, the Kids had their privacy with the downstairs accommodations and we had ours with the upstairs. We didn’t use the kitchen much for cooking meals but it was a great place to make our coffee and breakfast. The view is amazing and access to the lake shoreline was easy. Having chairs and a fire pit (with wood) available made mornings and evenings very memorable! Booking was easy and great communication! I would definitely recommend this property for an incredible time at the lake!

I’m tempted to leave a bad review…

…because I don’t want competition in renting this place next time, ha ha. It was perfect in almost every way. Clean, comfortable, roomy, quiet. We’ve been renting different places on Lake CDA for six years now, and never found one we wanted to go back to…except this one. Easy sloping walk to the beach, plenty of shoreline, beach chairs, fire pit with wood provided. As I said…almost perfect! What wasn’t perfect? Well, minor stuff. The dock is splintering, so don’t walk on it barefoot…ouch! The beach umbrellas are in great need of replacement, though the lounge chairs are very nice. Bottom line, please don’t book this place…cuz we want to come back! 😀

The pictures on the website don’t do this home justice. The home was very clean and well stocked. It was nice not having to pack beach towels. My family loved our time here. We were here for 5 days and didn’t even leave the property for two of them. We just hung out on the beach, swam in the lake, played games and vegged out. I would definitely stay hear again. My only complaint is that I didn’t book it for longer🤣, but that’s on me. We didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this house. Five stars. Also thank you for the wonderful welcome basket.

Our family stayed here late July 2021. The Home was clean for an older home and had all that is needed for our stay. Great views from the home, excellent beach area and dock. The Home is located a convenient 15 minutes or so drive into town. We would definitely stay here again, only thing that was even close to a negative is the rude neighbor to the East of the home- not very friendly.

We had a wonderful weekend! The house and property are beautiful. Having our own beach front and dock made everything better than any other weekend we've experienced in CDA. Our stay was wonderful! The house was a great layout for 4 adults and one child. The beach is lovely and easy to get to from the house. The dock is well maintained and easily accommodated our 21’ boat. Because of Covid, we didn’t venture out much, so it was nice to have such a comfortable place to be. We will definitely come again.

Perfect house for family gathering. Plenty of space. Beach has sand, a dock, and lots of sunshine. Karen is a great Host. The only negative was neighbors did not want to be friendly. They preferred us to avoid them, which was ok, just kind of sad.

This property is wonderful for kids. It has a great beach for kids which includes a nice fire pit for s’mores which were generously supplied by the owner. Spent much of the time on the deck enjoying the wonderful enjoying the view!
