This residence was ok. Plenty of firewood was a very nice feature. Interesting construction of residence leaves numerous drafty issues. In some areas of the home you can see holes to the outside….Yikes! The master bath boasts a heater switch. Yet there is no heater in the room! The toilet seat was very cold on the 12 degree morning! Appliances are really old. The TV ….basic Roku only. Fridge was clean. I like this area but I won’t rent this unit again.

The Log cabin was very nice, located in the middle of all the tree- no large over view but nice. Plently of cut firewood for the fireplace- tools to handle the fires and clean up need to be replaced. Lower level and loft bedroom bath were nice. Heating elements were limited, one side of house worked living room not at all. The fans helped mover the heat around the cabin. Heater in lower bathroom needs adjustments relative to noise. Stove top not all burners worked, toaster oven didn't function- dials worn off. Kitchen set up was good and screen porch was nice to view the colors. The streaming on the TV was difficult and limited viewing on desired shows and channels. Over all the stay was very nice for the season of Fall Colors and easy access to regional venues for shopping and dining.

We had such a wonderful stay! The cabin was super nice- we would definitely stay again!

We loved having all the trees around the house, and the screened back porch was wonderful! The house was easy to live in for the month we rented it, and it was well equipped with what we needed. We had an issue at checkin with logging into the internet, and when we called the rental agency, they promptly sent out someone who fixed it right away. We really appreciated their quick response. The cabin is not easy to see since it is set back from the road. It would be helpful if the directions from the rental agency included that the driveway is next to the barn.

Wonderful location, beautiful cabin. The negatives, the owner has laminated notes on everything in the cabin, it was comical. They even tell you how to use the wrong coffee filters in the coffee machine, rather than replace the coffee filters with the proper filters and not have the laminated note. Also, toaster did not work, and they had absolutely no extras for the guest. Ie: complementary coffee, more that 2 trash bags and dishwasher pods.

Cabin was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Check in and check out were simple. I loved that there were extra lap blankets in all the rooms. Made it a very cozy stay! We would stay here again.

We had a great time from start to finish. Quiet neighborhood, very charming cabin- a lot of birds and wildlife all around. We especially loved the proximity to Boone/Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Great location just off highway 105. We will rent again.

Stay was great. Pictures and listing were very dated. A lot of things in the house and on the property were broken. Lot's of pet stains on the rugs. I would think if the management company is charging people for these damages they would be corrected?

The property was so nice and clean. Also, a short drive to Sugar Mountain for activities. Would definitely stay again because it is pet friendly.

Loves this property. Stayed at the coldest time of year. Heat could not keep up. Thank goodness for the wood fireplace and generous supply of firewood. Beds were comfortable even the futon! Nice get away. Difficult to find at night. Very dark. Lovely stay.

It was great staying at the cabin. Place is super cozy, clean, all necessities are there (essentials provided for about first two -three days)
Location is great, close to skiing, dining, etc.
great atmosphere, lovely views!
however, checkout process is very involved. With many checklist items, such as putting towels away, starting dishwasher, removing garbage, setting temp , cleaning fireplace, it takes away from hassle free time.

Lovely cabin with plenty of space. Close to lots of activities and amazing fireplace with plenty of wood to enjoy warmth every night during the cold nights. We will be back for sure. Bonus was meeting the owner during a ur stay and he was very kind and helpful.

What a beautiful cabin. We really enjoyed our coffee on the back porch in the morning . It was like sitting in the forest in a treehouse
The peaceful view of the Rhododendron s in bloom and the barn on the front porch with a glass of wine in the evening was perfect to end the day. We plan to come back and stay longer.

We had a Mother’s Day getaway weekend and had a wonderful time. We spent most of our time on the porches, enjoying the rain or the mountain air and sounds. Reading a book on the hammock was so relaxing. We were an easy drive to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Grandfather Vineyards, and downtown Blowing Rock.

The living room and kitchen were clean but their were A LOT of pet stains all over the carpet. They charge a cleaning fee and pet fee but obviously they don’t clean!
The blind in the bedroom upstairs was broken into pieces and hanging there. The bathroom floor was dirty. The bedrooms are outdated. Needs new mattress and bedding! The front railing was very loose- safety hazard.
The neighborhood is great- quiet!

Amazing cabin for a few friends to celebrate a birthday weekend. Close to restaurants. Clean and beautiful! Downstairs bed was not comfortable, but loft bed and futon were very comfortable! Bathrooms were clean but not an extra toilet paper in the loft bathroom and only half a roll to start.

Thank you for sharing your home! It was perfect for our trip! We were able to bring our dogs and enjoy the great outdoors! The house is centrally located between Banner Elk and Boone, perfect for experiencing all kinds of fun stuff. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the screened in back porch, perfect for relaxing.

Very Happy

The cabin is located between Boone and Banner Elk which made it great for all of things we wanted to do like skiing, snow tubing, hiking and exploring Grandfather Mountain. There were endless options for great restaurants within 5-15 min drive. When we arrived at the cabin it had just started to snow, we were glad that we listened and brought 4WD vehicles. The road coming in was somewhat steep and winding but not so much that it was scary. We are from Florida so we are not use to driving in the snow. The next morning, snow plows and salt trucks came through which quickly cleaned up the roads so that we could go explore. The cabin was very clean, well furnished and cozy. We loved the fireplace for our winter stay. We enjoyed seeing a lot of deer in the front yard by the barn and from the back porch every day. The house is very well equipped with all of the kitchen essentials and linens. They also provided plenty of firewood which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice cabin. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms had plenty of towels. The open living area is very cozy and nicely appointed. The cabin is in a neighborhood with properties close together which could be an issue in the Summer when enjoying the nice screen porch. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

Nice cabin in a convenient area, close enough to town but not on top of everything. Cleaning could be improved on carpets and dusting.

Great stay! Disappointed that the creek on property in pictures was dry and fire pit is shared with house next door. But…Overall great stay!! Still would recommend!

Wonderful location. Clean, comfortably furnished and spacious for our party of two plus pet. In a developed neighborhood, yet a rustic barn and the placement of the cabin provide much privacy. We enjoyed the large screened back porch overlooking woodland. This cabin's kitchen is wonderfully outfitted with plenty of glassware, cookware and utensils. We recommend a stay at Arroyito!

This cabin does not look like much on the outside but the inside is filled with beauty and warmth! Perfect for two couples or a family. There was nothing we needed. Only complaint is we could not get upstairs tv to work. No directions wnd two remotes but we didn’t go to the mountains to watch tv anyway!

This cabin is just what we needed for a short getaway with our small dog. Very comfortable & attractive furnishings & great front & back porches. Many good restaurants close to the cabin.

My husband and I stayed for a week in October 2021. It was perfect! Loved the pond that was right down the road. The barn with fall decorations was a beautiful addition. The location was convenient to Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. We loved our accommodations!

Beautiful setting, cabin was adequately furnished with towels, linens, etc. very relaxing and pleasant stay. Our only recommendation was to clean all carpets in bedrooms, etc., to the management as many stains were present in each room.
5.0 / 10.0
Highly recommend. Very "cabin" feeling, but all luxuries of home. Awesome fireplace. Perfect for family of 4-6. 4 wheel drive a must in winter, if snow around.
4.0 / 10.0
Very well located for many attractions and activities. Cabin is nice and fairly well appointed. Could use some dusting in areas that a 6’4” person can easily see. Only disappointment was that we thought from the pictures the ponds with kayaks/canoes were behind our rental but are part of the community. Would rent again.
