Cabin was just what you would expect for a mountain getaway. Great location. Cabin is well taken care of and the kitchen is well stocked. Good trails just a short drive away for hiking and a nearby pond for fishing.

Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. Kitchen had everything necessary. Cabin was pet friendly and we brought our two dogs. Not a lot of yard space for the dogs but there is a great trail right behind the cabin to walk them. There is also some good greenspace a short walk away for dogs. There are a few cabins relatively close, so if you bring dogs plan on using a leash unless they are very good with recall. We lucked out and the nearby cabins were vacant. Cabin is in a great location and roads going to it were in great shape.

Exactly as expected. The wood for fireplace was such a great bonus!!! Had a question while I was there that wasn’t urgent… but got a reply within minutes. Highly recommend.

The draw to the property was the hot tub, layout and fireplace. We appreciated the firewood being part of the unit and not charged as an extra fee. Great location to everything and very quiet at night. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the property manager was quick to respond to any questions. The hot tub was really clean and firewood for the fireplace was nice bonus on cold nights. I would return and stay at this cabin again.

Super location to just hang out or use as a base for day trips.

Home was cozy and felt relaxed on both decks with porch swing and hot tub. Close and easy access to Grandfather mountain.

As mentioned in other reviews there are some small handyman thinhs that could be/should be done, but my party of four had a fantastic time. The home is comfortable and convenient to Grandfather's Mountain. Stores and restaurants are close. I did have an easier time finding the place by looking at the shed from the pictures than trying to find the street number. The only thing I would change would be putting big log seats around the fire pit instead of the cinderblock bench so visitors can easily rearange.
All in all a fantastic spot!

We had a wonderful visit and are overall happy with our stay. The hot tub was clean and we really enjoyed using it. The neighborhood is beautiful and fun to walk. We saw deer every day, in fact the front yard had about 20 of them late one night.
The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. The coffee maker is a basic one, so bring ground coffee. There were filters in the cabinet, which is a plus.
The kids loved playing foosball upstairs and rocking on the front porch swing.
As the other reviews noted, the heat did feel a little tricky to regulate. We brought our own thermostat controlled portable heater just in case.
The driveway is easy to navigate, and relatively flat with plenty of room. You do share the driveway with neighboring cabin, but has separate parking areas.
If you are staying a while, I would recommend bringing a few extra dishwasher pods and laundry pods. It was nice being able to do our laundry often.
We also had the best meals at The Local and Melanie's Food Fantasy, both located downtown Boone.

Nice size cabin for a family of four. Well stocked kitchen, good location to bounce between Boone, Blowing Rock, skiing and grandfather mountain. Hot tub was great. Quiet area. Similar feedback to other reviews, inability to control the temperature was frustrating on a cold weekend. Upstairs nice and warm downstairs cold. No heat in master bath. Still burnt out lightbulbs everywhere, and fixing or replacing a barely functional rocking chair (bottom falling out)in the living room could go a long way. If temp control issues were fixed I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cabin. But I would think twice about renting again in January. Even a robust fire could not heat up the downstairs. Also bring your own kindling, newspaper and lighter/matches! If I knew I would have brought an electro blanket and a little portable heater for the downstairs bathroom. We all ended up using the upstairs one because it was just unbearable at times:( I would also recommend the bedding needs refreshed. All seemed dirty/ yellowed from age…and extra comforters were just thrown on the floor of the closets. Should be washed and placed in dust covers. Minor things but all would make a difference in a three vs four or five star review.

We loved the cabin and enjoyed spending Christmas there - very clean, well-stocked kitchen, new appliances, plenty of towels and comforters, and a good amount of firewood, which we needed! However, the main floor bathroom did not have any heat, so it was literally freezing in there - ice in the shower and you see your breath. It was very cold while we were there, and the heat on the main floor couldn't warm the rooms until it got above 25. It was unusually cold, so this is somewhat understandable. The upstairs loft was very warm, though. The thermostats are confusing and don't really seem to control anything. Hot tub was great! If it's going to be cold while you are there, just be sure to bring lots of layers and thermals.

Wish we had been able to stay longer! The cabin was beautiful and though there was a cabin next door it still felt very private. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to visit again sometime!

This is a great property for easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mtn, etc., and sits in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the setting, deck space, and roominess of the house. Having the hot tub waiting after some days on local trails was really welcome.
There are a few things that would have improved the experience: replacing burnt out light bulbs, finishing repair on wall near door to deck.

Just want to start by saying, this cabin was absolutely beautiful. It felt like home to is.
We slept in a couple times and just relaxed.
I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and having coffee and listening to the sounds of nature. The fireplace was nice to have burning in the evening. Relaxing and reading a good book.
I would definitely come back and stay at this cabin.

We came for a ski weekend and the hot tub was a lifesaver at the end of the day! The cabin had a really nice vibe and was clean and well stocked.

We wanted to visit Blowing Rock, Boone, Linville Falls and Banner Elk and this was the perfect location for us. We had a great stay!

We had a great time in the cabin. Plenty of cooking pots/utensils. The front yard had an old barn on it which made the view that much prettier. The cabin only has 2 bedrooms but had enough room for my teenage boys to sleep on the couches. My only complaint is the towels had a strong smell to them (were left in the washer too long and then put to dry) and we were never able to figure out how to turn the heater off but that wasn’t a big issue. Overall we would stay there again! Front and back porch were very relaxing!

Beautiful property in a beautiful setting. We so enjoyed watching the deer play in the front field. Everything was as promised. Would definitely stay again!

Great location to local attractions, Hawknest, Beech Mountain and Alpine coaster ride. The house was perfect !
Wonderful stay.

The place was nicely kept, new carpeting, cozy and clean. The hot tub is not entirely private as the listing makes it sound. The lights above the table flickered and couldn’t be used. But we ended up leaving early because of the smell. My son’s allergies and asthma were acting up, the mustiness just made it feel unclean even though it was clean. Definitely not a clean-smelling place

This was the best, most cost, comfy cabin I’ve ever stayed in. Plenty of room, incredibly clean, properly supplied with everything you would need, and so quite with an amazing hot tub. Really did not want to back to the real world. Will be returning soon.

Cabin is great! Grill did not work after the office kindly replaced the propane tank. The pots/pans are in desperate need of replacing. They are scratched and worn out. Other than that, was fabulous!

This cabin was a very nice spot for a family of four. Enough room but not too much room. Hot tub is nice, especially after hiking and biking. Location of the property is great, very close to Grandfather Mtn, Beech, Mtn, Linwood Falls, Boone, etc. Price is about right for the size. Nice upstairs loft for the kids and the second bedroom is up there too. Overall very nice place!

Loved the location if this cabin and enjoyed the hot tub greatly after long hikes and lots of skiing. They had a coffee maker and filters but no coffee so if you're an addict like me be sure to grab some before making your way up the mountain! Overall would definitely stay here again.

The only regret my wife and I had about our vacation is that we didn’t stay longer. The cabin was so comfortable and inviting, and well appointed without being pretentious. We made good use of the cozy fireplace and relaxing hot tub, and look forward to enjoying a return stay. Thanks also to the courteous and helpful staff at Foscoe Rentals!

Cabin location is perfect. The cabin itself needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Air vents were very clogged and dusty. Some Furnishings were worn and on their last leg. The heat needs to be updated and upgraded but with a fire lit, it was ok with a blanket and outside temps at 14 degrees. There are cold wind drafts coming through some of the cracks in cement/ log wall areas that need to be sealed. Cute and easy to get to. Beautiful area and close to everything. Gas grill only works half way and you need to fill tanks yourself. Bring some starter logs for fire or some kinlin/lighter wood. Enough room for my family of 3.

Clean cozy lodge made me feel like I was home away from home.

We loved our stay here. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our entire stay. The hot Tub was so relaxing and just what was needed in the winter weather. Beautiful property. We saw lots of deer. I also had my two little ones who slept in a pack n play and had plenty of room for them.
