Our home sits atop a bedrock cliff, with gorgeous, untouched Shawagunk mountain views and the peaceful sounds of the river and 30-ft. waterfall running below. The cabin is wonderfully cozy yet feels spacious, rustic while having most modern amenities provided to you. Enjoy total seclusion close to so many things to see and do!
This adorable 1951 red log cabin oozes charm, with so many little places to hang out. Laze away on our outdoor chaise lounges, while watching the hawks or (quiet) glider planes soaring overhead. On a rainy day, enjoy the screened-in breezeway with a warm wool blanket and a board game. Fire up the BBQ and grill local veggies and dine al fresco under the stars. Unwind with a bubble bath in our claw foot bathtub, while sipping a glass of organic wine from nearby Bashakill Vineyard, looking up at the stars through the giant skylight. Pop some popcorn and put in a DVD from our collection before snuggling up on our super-comfy couch.

We had a wonderful week of relaxing and recharging, such a cozy cabin! The views are amazing! Definitely recommend!

First time in the Catskills just to relax; no kids, no dog (although both are allowed) just the wife and I. Everything was great! Easy to get to and from with being very seclude. Would highly recommend.

Great space with a beautiful view. The outside seating area is as valuable as the cabin itself.

Stayed with my son. Had friends come over for the day.
Small and private like we wanted. Easy for friends to come and spent the day. The owners were wonderful communicating and everything you need is in the place.

Our family had a wonderful stay over the long weekend at Adam and Chrissy's beautiful cabin, Releve. Their home is well-appointed and has a perfect, cozy feel. Hearing the waterfall, making an outdoor fire, and watching the sun rise and set over the forest and mountains was incredibly special. We also appreciated their attention to detail and warm welcome - snacks upon arrival, use of spices/condiments/coffee, and a super helpful binder with local information, recommendations and tips. Last but not least, the beds (especially the comforters) were SO comfy! We can't wait to come again and spend another weekend escaping into nature!

I was looking for a place to completely remove myself from the city and find some peace and quiet. This place did the trick. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had booked the right place. I sat outside and listened to the waterfall and stared into the trees for hours. The interior is the perfect balance of cozy but not over the top. Comfortable to watch TV, eat meals, cook dinner in a perfectly stocked kitchen, etc. The hosts were great. Responded to anything and everything right away and even left a bottle of wine as welcome. I will 100% book this place again!

We had a wonderful stay but the house needs a little love.

Great place to hunker down and unplug. Reclusive yet close to all you need. Wild deer and turkey spotted on walks and many winged friends too.

We had an amazing time at Revele. We greatly enjoyed the beautifully equipped and decorated cabin and its interesting history and the peaceful surroundings, interrupted only by the relaxing hum of the waterfall and bird song. If you're looking to forget about civilization and recharge in nature, this is a place for you! The owners were very welcoming and gracious and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you!

"Secret" getaway w/ a jaw-dropping view
As other reviews have mentioned, this cabin is a very private property in the middle of a gorgeously green forest with the soothing sounds of a burbling waterfall emanating from down below. But we were still caught off guard by just HOW SPECIAL and unique this place feels ... the vibe is legit "mountain cabin" with a rich history. If you're an early-riser, you'll be treated to a gorgeous sunrise; but the sunsets are equally breathtaking. The decor is so warm: From vintage Milton Glaser Catskills poster art and claw foot soaking tub to a gorgeous raw edge wood dining table, it makes you feel like you are in a home, not some lame rental. Modern kitchen. Sky lights. Cozy sectional to pile up on and watch multiple streaming channels. No AC but the cross breeze is so satisfying when you crank open the many, many windows. No traffic. NO CARS period. Only one house nearby and it feels a million miles away. A short 10-15 mins away you have a great grocery, liquor store, a historic restaurant, outdoor bar, vineyard, etc. Adam (the host) was quick to respond via text. Thank you for being welcoming about our senior dog -- and we apologize if she left her blonde hair every damn place. Would definitely rebook if Adam and Chrissy would have us.

Homey cabin in the Catskills
This cabin is tucked away on top of a cliff with stunning views. Excellent, immediate communication by the hosts and the property had everything we could ask for and more. Beds were very comfortable and the overall experience was 5/5!

The coziest cabin getaway
We had the most lovely time at Releve for New Years Eve. The cabin is so cozy and Adam and Chrissy have thought through every little detail and it shows. It’s very secluded on a beautiful landscape. We can’t wait to return!

My son & I spent a relaxing time at the cabin which has a beautiful view of the surrounding woods and you can hear the falls below. The bedrooms are adequate and the kitchen is big enough to meet your needs. The bathroom has a nice claw foot tub but there is no shower curtain so you have to make it work. Although we were told not to hike to the falls along the side path, you of course have to see these falls. It was a pretty steep hike but there is a rope railing for assistance. It was very pretty along stream and at the falls. Besides the steepness, the only other issue is the broken glass along the path so watch your step. This cabin was a perfect fit a few days of quiet relaxation.

We are so lucky to come across this charming log cabin in the woods. It was hard to leave.
Thank you for all of the details and accommodations around the cabin. The communication was extraordinary. Would love to go back for every season!

We enjoyed our stay at "The Cabin in the Woods" very much! The property is just gorgeous. We sat at the relaxing outdoor area with the view all the time when we weren't out exploring trails. We enjoyed the bird watching at the house.
Inside, the couch was VERY comfortable and nice to snuggle after a long day on the trail. I was a little wary of the bathtub idea but it turned out to be very refreshing to soak in a tub and cool off. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.
I would highly recommend this property.

When checking in, the property was clean and as described in the listing. It was well-appointed with fresh linens, towels, and a full kitchen. Although cellular service in the area was spotty, the house’s WiFi connection was great. The beds were really comfortable as well. The place offered incredible views of the valley below, whether from the seating area by the grill, from the living/dining room inside, or from the raised deck off the back of the house.
The listing describes some critters, and we found that to be accurate as well. If an occasional field mouse or harmless snake outside will bother you, this listing might not be for you. Similarly, if you have mobility issues, the ladder-like access to the loft area and high-sided claw foot tub would be problematic. None of these were issues during our stay, but I can see how they may be for others. Our only real issue during our stay was the heat, which is what it is. The weather was unseasonably warm (mid-90’s), and the many fans provided were just no match for it.
Communication with our hosts was excellent. They were informative without being intrusive, and promptly replied to a couple of concerns.
We spent the weekend hitting up a few local vineyards and biking around NY state parks. The house was within easy driving distance to everything we wanted to do.
Overall, we’d return, but only when weather would be cooler.

This cabin was more than promised in the listing. We were looking for piece and quiet and that is what we found. The waterfall was mesmerizing, the view was enchanting, and the amenities kept us comfortable. When we needed something, there were plenty of room places to shop, hike, or eat, all within minutes of the cabin. The hosts provided information on all types of activities in the area and their notes on the local food scene are spot on. 5 stars across the board!

Cozy Cabin
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Such a great location on a quiet road, and such a beautiful view. The sound of the waterfall below was very relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed exploring the area and had so many hiking options nearby. Great communication with the hosts, and the cutest little cabin to stay in. Definitely recommend :).

The view of the valley is as good as the photos make it seem. Some really great amenities—the kitchen is fully outfitted, the couch and reading chairs are comfy and strategically placed so you can follow the sun throughout the day. The wood pellet grill is a fun upgrade from charcoal and that view and sound of the waterfall while you cook is very serene. Special shout-out to the record collection, which was fun to dive through to find some classic albums and some riskier picks. Great location for a quick escape from NYC!
