About this house rental

Our guest house is a fully furnished 5 bedroom house located in a small town in the middle of Amish Country. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby for your enjoyment. A swimming pool, playhouse, swingset, and lots of room outside to sit and relax on the patio beside the pool. Two of the bedrooms lead out to a balcony.

The kitchen has a sliding door out to a deck. The family room has a wood burning fireplace, built in bookcases with lots of books and magazines, a TV and sliding doors leading out to a screened in porch. We also have an office with a desk and a couch that opens up to a bed which would give sleeping room for two more people. The dining room has a large table, ideal for groups, and also a smaller table w/4 chairs.

Spent a long weekend here with my kids and grandkids..everything about our stay was amazing!!! The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the house! We would 100% recommend this rental. Kate is wonderful to work with and very quick to respond when messaged! We will definitely be back next year!

Our family of 6 adults and 5 children had a wonderful weekend at Kate's Weekend Retreat. This home is huge and was a wonderful home away from home. We enjoyed time away from the city and enjoyed the wonderful country views. The pool and outdoor spaces allowed for our family to relax, play, and just enjoy each other. The huge kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals. A great VRBO experience! Thanks Katy

My siblings and families gather for a week every year at different rentals. This house was perfect for us. Well stocked kitchen had everything we needed. So much indoor and outdoor space to gather or find a quiet corner. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was enjoyed by all and the pergola added a great shaded area. Kate was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this house and will likely be back.

We had a great time at the house! We had 3 of our 5 grown kids and 4 of our 6 grandkids with us (15 years to 17 months). Everyone loved the pool and the space we had to be together or be apart if we wanted was great! The house was clean and had everything we needed during our stay! Not too far from shops or restaurants too! Our oldest grandson is already trying to plan our trip back!!

Kate’s property was wonderful. The pool was a hit with all 7 of us. There was plenty of room to enjoy all of our activities indoors too. So glad we were able to come stay at this delightful place. Hope to return again soon!

Plenty of room and then some for a family get together. Some of the door locks were tricky and no lock on the back door made us uncomfortable being from an area where we lock our doors. The surrounding county side was really nice!

My family loved this place so much and we all want to return! The flow of the house offers the chance to visit and enjoy one another’s company while still maintaining their privacy as it is sprawling! There are several areas to congregate and socialize or get away and read! We swam in the pool which was fabulous and enjoyed the outdoor space as well. I can’t say enough about the kindness that was shown to us by Kate! Thanks so much! My little family needed that trip!

I truley cannot say enough about our stay here! The House was just amazing and Katy and her daughter that helps her mom with the house were both amazing as well so very nice!! This house is very warm and welcoming very clean!! The pool was the kids fun and the shopping is all very close and Amish working the land right beside the pool kids loved every once of our stay here ! The Smarties~

This is in the heart of Amish Country. The house is extra Large and decorated beautifully. The cleanliness was impeccable. Everyone had a room and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is large and there are several seating rooms and an outdoor screened in porch There was a Ninja coffee maker and the kitchen was well stocked with tableware.. The owner was so great and easy to talk with she was truly concerned about potential problems ( none ). It was hot so the pool was cleaned daily and the kids were in it most of the day. The kids reined in age from 15yrs.to 10 months and they had a blast falling asleep exhausted. According to the reception book many repeat familys and groups IMO that is a sign of a good host and facility.

The house is spacious with a nice selection of beds. Fantastic to have a large dining table that 8 people can have meals together and a 4 seat table adjacent to the dining table for additional people. Great yard, pool and outdoor seating. If you are bringing children be aware that the pools DOES NOT have a lock on the gate, play set has some rot, indoor house stairs cannot be gated for infants and toddlers, the wash and dryer are COIN operated and the interior carpets are filthy. Amenities should be expanded on the listing, for example the coffee maker is drip style and coin operated laundry. We learned the day before that the dishwasher was not functional. After we arrived we noticed that the dishwasher had dirty standing water in it that began to smell. Owner solution was to put pool shock chemicals in the dishwasher! Overall the home need TLC.

The house was huge and spacious, and we loved the pool! During our stay we only used 4 of the bedrooms. There are only 2.5 baths for such a large house, I’m not sure how parties larger than 7 can manage to share so few bathrooms? During our stay we had a major fly problem! This was very off putting, especially around meal times. Overall the visit was pleasant but not worth the price per night for the worn down condition and outdated appliances/amenities.

This home was recommended to us by a friend and we are very happy with our stay. The home has lots of character and plenty of spacious open areas for visiting. It does show some wear on the carpet and paint but it does not take away from the overall character and homey feeling. There are lots of stairs and uneven walkways but I only mention that for folks with mobility concerns. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware and can accommodate cooking for large groups. The pool and patio are very clean and were maintained daily during our stay. The diving board has been removed since the photos were taken. The rural setting was picturesque and the farmers working the fields around the home would stop and talk or wave when they went by. All in all we are very pleased and plan to stay again.

This was our first time staying at Kate's Farm House. It was an overall 5 star experience! The house was immaculate! Everything so neat and clean, inside and outside! The pool was so refreshing and the highlight of our trip! Kate stopped by and introduced herself and had a pleasant, short visit with us, which we thought was very nice! We also got to meet her husband, who showed my husband how to turn on the pool lights for night swimming, which we didn't end up doing do to the cool evenings. There was a tornado during our second and final night there, which was pretty scary, but shelter was provided, and Kate and her husband made it a point to come the next morning and check on us. We have already been recommending this place to our friends, and will definitely be booking it again!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A family of eleven of us had a great and comfortable weekend at this beautiful home. Our only suggestions would be to have better and more photos of the property on the listing. The photos didn't really do the home justice. Especially the sleeping areas. We were very impressed after entering. The other suggestion would be to have larger skillets. It was very hard to cook for a large crowd with 2 small skillets. We made do and had a fantastic time.

Our stay was fantastic. Twelve ranging in age from 83 to 2. Can’t wait to go back during the summer and enjoy the pool. Only drawback, stairs everywhere. But, we made it work!! Definitely recommend.
