About this house rental

This Pipers Reach home has original classic design with ocean views. Only a short walk to the bluff trails and Shell Beach. Comfortable No smoking dog friendly house. Soft new bedding, fully stocked kitchen and much more.

Included in the rental of The Pipers Reach home is access to the various recreational areas. Your house pass allows you to enjoy the swimming pool, tennis courts and sauna. Or bring your bikes(we provide 3 bikes) the bike trail is immediately behind the house and 10 mile bluff trail is steps away. Nearby activities include tide pooling, wine tasting, hiking nearby parks, fishing and exploring Gualala or the Sea Ranch lodge. Two grocery stores in Gualala 10 min from our home.

Nice open floor plan downstairs with a new 50 in screen TV, Netflix and a wood burning stove. We offer free internet and Direct TV. Master bedroom is a king with full bath and TV, guest room upstairs is a queen with full bath and downstairs is a half bath and den to accommodate two more guests. You can bring up to two dogs for an additional fee. We provide dog and beach towels in the garage.

The Master bedroom has a deck off the South side of house and gives you a nice ocean view. Off the deck is a nice inviting hot tub also views to the ocean. On a warm day lounge on the chairs in your private fenced in yard while listening to the surf.

The open kitchen is fully equipped and matching service for 8. Don't worry about bringing salt and pepper we provide spices and paper goods. Our house is perfect for a few couples or family to enjoy time to relax and unwind while enjoying the coast. If you need to do a little work we have a work desk in Master Bedroom with great internet access.

This property was in a great location to the beach. At night you could hear the waves which is so relaxing. I loved the fenced in yard for our dog and the spa was great. The only thing that was hard was the fact that you couldn’t have your dogs upstairs. I honestly might not have rented the is place because of this rule. I did t see it anywhere until we arrived and were looking for a pizza menu. Other than that it was good.

The house and location are excellent, quite comfortable and well equipped with easy acces to wonderful beaches. The house host is EXTREMELY considerate and polite. My ONLY negative, which is no hindrance to a return visit, and accounts for the 4 star rating on "accuracy of online listing" is that the accompanying photograph suggests an on-the-bluff location and view for this "ocean view home". Such a view does not exist from this home. A more accurate photograph is recommended. G.S.

We have rented properties at Sea Ranch for 40 years. Pipers Reach is pleasant — well-equipped and clean, but a major issue marred our experience. As described in the VRBO listing, there are two bedrooms in the home. The en-suite master is spacious and nicely furnished with a small balcony. The other bedroom was cramped, with a small window and barely enough room for a luggage rack. We were disappointed, but willing to be “good sports” since we were traveling with another couple … until it was time to take a shower in the hall bath. The water flow was barely a trickle and unusable. We contacted the owner about the problem and she suggested some “fixes” which didn’t work, despite the efforts of our very handy friend. Tina was apologetic and said she would compensate us for the inconvenience. On the third day, she arranged for a plumber to come. When we got back after a day of golfing, the shower water pressure was still minimal. We let Tina know and at that point she went “dark.” We had to share the master shower with our friends for the remainder of our five-day stay. We have had no further contact from Tina, other than a reminder to leave the parking passes when we checked out. She did not respond to my request for information about the promised refund. (We only asked for $500.) One further note. The water situation in the hall bath would be unacceptable even for a couple traveling with small children. It would take all day to fill the bathtub.

This is our 6th visit to Sea Ranch in the past 4 years, but the first time we have stayed in this home. We would definitely stay here again. Everything was perfect and we really don’t have one negative comment.

This is a great house for more than one couple to stay in (of a family) - it offers every amenity you could want from bikes to hot tubs to wood burning stove - has views of the ocean and is close to wonderful walks and Shell Beach. It is cozy and comfy and we had a lovely stay!

The lovely home is in a great and beautiful development. The home itself is well maintained and very well stocked especially the kitchen. The owner is very responsive. My biggest suggestion is: there should be in the description of the property : Master Bedroom: Be sure to let future renters know that you have a very high bed. Very difficult to get into it you are short and old. Definitely provide a bed step stool. Also be sure to mention the blackouts that can happen at any time. And be very clear where the flashlights are.

Home was clean and well appointed! Most home rentals in Sea Ranch have old pots pans and dishes. This home has quality kitchen ware, furniture, and amenities! Where do I start? Lovely, comfortable home. Beautiful views. Easy access to trails and beach. The owners have thought of everything - well stocked kitchen, the nice touches. Cozy blankets, even pet items (we took two dogs), comfortable beds and bedding. Had a brief power outage, and heard promptly where flashlights and candles were, and pg and e updates. Just outstanding stay.

Everything was great including the location and the hot tub was clean which isn’t always the case. Plenty of seating in the family room. The only upgrade that could be done fairly easily is the bed in the den. The sofa sleeper is uncomfortable enough that we opted to sleep on the floor. That said the rest was great and we would rent it again.

We are a family of 5 and a dog. We really enjoyed our time at Pipers Reach. The home is a quick walk to the trail that runs along the beach and a small cove. The street is very quiet and peaceful. The house is fully stocked. We used the bikes every day, played ping pong, cooked all our meals in the kitchen or on the grill. It was a perfect stay!

Our family enjoyed a few great days on Piper’s Reach. Our small Pomeranian loved the enclosed yard, and we enjoyed daily walks to the near-by bluff. Home cooking in a well-organized kitchen, and quiet nights in comfortable beds !

The house was beautiful and in a great location. So easy to walk to the beach and the trails along the bluff. Lots of amenities- bikes, community center passes, hot tub, ping pong table. Our family had a great time. Also, I wanted to note how kind and gracious Tina is. We had booked this house last year and my mom had a medical emergency the day before our trip. She let us reschedule for another time and I cannot thank her enough! For that reason alone I would definitely book again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Sea Ranch! This lovely home was a perfect fit for our family of four (+ pup). It was clean, comfortable and very welcoming. We especially loved the beautiful views (including deer sightings!), the well stocked kitchen with everything needed to dine in, and the fabulous sunsets from the hot tub. The beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and the ping pong table was a bonus. Thank you, Tina and Joe, for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

We enjoyed this spot as much as any homes we’ve rented in Sea Ranch. Pros to the home: Very close to Shell Beach (like less than a five min walk) Hot tub clean , well-positioned for tree and ocean views, and in good shape Dogs allowed Nice light and comfy beds Fridge and cabinets stocked with a few basic essentials like spices and salad dressings Property felt even more private than a lot do Some nice artwork and lamps and things, which I always appreciate Fenced in backyard felt pleasant and safe Mostly liked floor plan Check-in totally seamless and owner even generously offered to let us come early Fun ping pong table in garage Cons Didn’t like learning that we were supposed to keep our dog downstairs only (very tough and maybe impossible in some cases) Carpeting seemed reasonably clean but is less ideal for dirt and allergies, esp. in places with pets Property looks like it hasn’t been updated much; some 1970’s vibes and old plumbing (but to be fair that is not infrequently true of area rentals) Upstairs is rather cold as the listing indicates, but space heaters are provided We prefer not being asked to strip beds, take out trash, wash towels, etc. as we struggle to depart when we are paying these prices, but at the same time, it’s not uncommon and we get how much it helps

What a perfect place to spend the weekend away from all the noise. The house was so inviting, stocked and had wonderful energy. The ping pong table was a huge bonus! Tina was quick to respond and incredibly kind! Thank you! Our family of 5, plus 2 dogs loved being there. Highly recommend staying here if you need a place to recharge and have some quality family time.
