clean and spacious family sized apartment
dining room very busy and food ok but the price was very reasonable so that’s probably why

Lovely pools and terraces. Apartment very spacious and comfortable.
Food was very disappointing. Not great quality at breakfast or dinner.

The staff were lovely throughout the hotel. The food as part of the half board option was very good. I loved the spa, hydrotherapy pools and a dead sea floatarium in a beautiful cave setting. I actually went there twice during the week. Room and mattress were very comfortable.
Wi-fi was really poor.

location
food was the worst we have ever experienced spent a lot of money eating out !!!!! it was cold and really not well prepared also we arrived late Saturday was originally staying in a family apartment this was very dated in every aspect asked at reception for two tea bags as no welcome pack provided we were refused the tea bags as the family rooms were not provided with anything other than one bottle of water we then upgraded to another room extra cost occurred tea bags provided the hotel was highly recommended so I didn’t do my usual reviews all noted reviews gave food poor rating so disappointed would not recommend at all

Rooms and pool area
The main inside restaurant needed some change of decor to brighten it up -the walls tables flooring etc. more light colours.
On 2 or 3 occasions during stay chips, bacon were cold

Loved the location this side of Playa Blanca. Lovely walk along promenade to Rubicon Marina and beyond. Also walkable to the unspoilt sandy beaches of Papagayo.
Food was agreeable with enough choice to find something you liked or fancied.
The Dining area lacked atmosphere for evening dinner and was a bit canteenish. Maybe some table linen and candles would improve the evening atmosphere.
We always tried to dress smart for dinner as requested by the hotel but some people still turned up in baggy tee shirts and shorts. Kind of spoilt the atmosphere. Would like to see a smarter evening dining experience. Casual at breakfast is fine.
Always very busy but you got used to it.

Food, service, staff and the spectacular views. Loved also the fact that there is now water both still and sparkling available for free regardless of board basis. I was only half board , breakfasts are superb, dinners ( mains) can be hit and miss but there was only 1 evening meal that I struggled to find something to eat from mains. IMHO salads and the deserts are always gorgeous
Can't really blame anything, the English channels do freeze intermittently in the bedrooms but it wasn't a biggy for me personally as I didn't come on holiday to watch tv

Exceptional hotel as indicated . Location, cleanliness and rooms were 1st class.
Staff were friendly for the most part with a couple of exceptions. Pool area excellent.
Food was a bit repetitive during our stay . Hot food bar was a bit hit or miss and not always cooked well. Inclusive wine selection was bordering on undrinkable. Better choices could be made here.

Very good varied selection of foods. Could do with more coffee machines and toasters.
Tea towels and washing up liquid in kitchen area.

Beautiful sea views. Lovely staff!

The location was great we walked down to the marina daily which was really nice along the sea front and enjoyed the views from our balcony.
Very loud fans above our room kept us awake
The water in the spa was really cold and you had to pay for this so it was very disappointing and took the fun from the experience.
Also the top of the hotel was a roof top me and the girls went to sunbath and we got shock of our life’s because people were sunbathing naked not a inch of clothes (old male/female) which really wasn’t very nice for us young females to see.

The breakfast food was generally good. All hot dishes were actually hot and there was plenty of choice. The pastries could have been of slightly better quality. There is a machine for juice where you help yourself. The choice of flavours were OK but the quality wasn’t. The juices were basically squash from a machine!!
The dining room requires improvement. Very much like a huge canteen and the acoustics were such that it was always extremely noisy. Every chair scraped on the floor when moved just slightly. It doesn’t cost much to place pads underneath the legs. That would certainly improve the overall noise. Food st lunch and dinner was adequate - a good selection but not always top quality. The wine on all inclusive was like vinegar (sorry) as was the cava and cocktail served at the ‘Gala’ dinner over Christmas. The wine served at the Gala was a vast improvement. Perhaps the hotel could switch to this on AI? Pool area was a little crowded at one end (although there were plenty of sun beds around the main pool) mainly due to the design of the hotel and there only being a small crescent of seating remaining in the sun for the whole day. I understand that the staff (all delightful) cannot police holidaymakers for reserving beds at stupid o clock and not actually bothering to sit out at all. Not the hotels fault but such selfish behaviour - and although there is a rule for long trousers for men in the dining room in the evening it is clearly ignored!!! The bedrooms are light bright and comfortable. The bar area is pleasant but a few more comfortable sofas and chairs would not go amiss. Would prefer more of the entertainment to be around the piano upstairs. The entertainment area in the basement is somehow not the best showcase for some of the acts. The piano area Is a far more conducive and intimate setting for a really good singer than the theatre area downstairs. All in all the hotel is good value for money. If you don’t like walking it may be a little out of town for some but we were happy to walk into playa blanca and beyond or to papagayo most days. Would return if the price is right - but not over Christmas.

We have been to Playa Blanca several times over the last few years and have stayed in different types of accommodation but always self-catering .This time we decided to stay in a hotel. We knew we're the Mirador was located and liked the location as we enjoy the walk into the marina and then into town.
We had a sea view room over looking the pool and then sea it was a perfect view .The room was plenty big and very light and clean. Having a small fridge was handy for drinks
We were on a half board basis. Which was fine .I had read a lot of the comments about the food, so was a little concerned. We were presently surprised. We enjoyed the breakfasts plenty of choice hot or cold. Dinner we always found something that we liked .Lots of healthy choices. The staff worked very had to keep food topped up and tables cleared. We managed to sit out side for most of the week .We found it nice and relaxed and it was worth waiting a little for a table.
We didn't go to the evening entertainment only because we either went for a stroll or were very happy to sit and have a drink on the terrace over looking the pool and sea.
All the staff were polite and helpful, the chambermaid did a wonderful job each day.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quite location and a chilled out holiday. Would definitely go back next time we make it to Playa Blanca.

very fresh and clean and the room was lovely. Pool area was excellent. food was lovely and great variety each day
a little bit far out for access to PB but the walk to the Marina was lovely. not much atmosphere in the bar area , should be music to entertain the guests in the evening. Wi-Fi very poor. more signage needed for half board guests on what they can access food and drinks wise . Check in very rushed as staff are so busy and this time should be used to explain more to new guests . pool bar basic enough for lunch menu should be more variety . we were not informed before our visit that the wellness centre was under renovation. rooms should have proper glasses for guest to enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony not paper cups for a 4 star hotel .

Nice room with sea view and the staff were mostly very friendly, especially the waiting staff and entertainment.
The selection of food in the buffet while nice could have had more variety.
Could have been more things for kids out of season, even though the entertainment staff were amazing. The reception staff could have been more supportive when we asked them questions, seemed a little like we were putting them out.
