Very friendly staff, good service and delicious food. The distance from the rail station is just 10 minutes on foot. It was very quiet throughout our staying.

Everything was fantastic with this Ryokan. The service was excellent, the facilities were extraordinary! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful and English was so helpful. All staff from the front desk to the drivers who took us into town were so so friendly and accommodating. I would just stay here and rest for days if I could. They really went out of their way to help send our luggage to the tourism area near the train station so we could make the rounds and visit all the Onsens.
Nothing, everything was perfect!

We stayed in a traditional room so very bare but beautiful. Futons on the floor, surprisingly comfortable. A little farther than most of the other hotels in town but free shuttle whenever you need it.

tbh i did not like much about this place, the check in was weirdly rushed, the room has had bizarre updates and renovations that do not fit into the "ryokan" aesthetic or style advertised that make the room seem cheap.
The food was literally the worst meal i had for my entire 16 night trip, the food was so bad i opted to pay for and not eat my last meal there.
When i raised the issue to management about food being moldy and clearly a pre-packaged product they had no response
THE FOOD was literally the worst meal i had in japan, DO NOT STAY HERE, THE PLACE IS A RIP OFF!
i stayed at other Ryokan for half the price of this one and the experience was ten times better. this place has clearly changed ownership recently and is run very poorly with no personal touch or meeting the standard of the Japanese customer service or the Ryokan experience!

The on-site Onsen was great. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They even had a lounge with complementary snacks, drinks, and massage chairs. The property was beautiful. The complementary shuttle to town was quick and readily available.
The bathroom in the rooms weren’t as nice as everything else. Due to a lack of sidewalks and construction we had to walk on the main road for our short journey to town. It was only an issue because we had our young children with us. Most of the time we were able to use the shuttle.

very good Hotel, very nice and always helpful staff
don't be discouraged by the distance, it is an easy walk and the hotelstaff will bring and get you whenever you request with their shuttle.
the breakfast was traditional and somewhat unorthodox for the western tongue, but all was well prepared, plenty and a real experience (half pension reccommended)
even you get a pass to the 7 public baths, if you are lazy, the hotel onsen is also quite beautiful.
no complaints about the room at all, it was clean and quiet (but still be aware about the bed if you cannot sleep on harder undergrounds)

the service and the facilities
the vegetarian meal could have been done better

everything. was amazing. proper traditional ryokan. staff were lovely and helpful couldn’t do enough for you. free ice lollies/fizzy drinks/coffee/tea which was an added bonus. lovely food. beautiful hotel and gardens with carp, we all loved it. free yukatas and geta to wear to onsen in town. just brilliant. didn’t want to leave. oh and the onsen in the hotel was one of the best. rotenburo and cold plunge pool excellent.
nothing!

Onishiya Suishoen was amazing. The staff were so helpful and lovely. The meals were absolutely delicious - we felt like royalty!!! The rooms were very nice and spacious as well and the onsen was beautiful. Being in an onsen town - we visited 4 of the 7 onsens and still liked the hotel one the best!
Location is a little out of the way. there’s construction on at the moment too so you have to walk around which is a little annoying but they do offer shuttle busses in the arvo/when you check out so it’s helpful!

Friendly staff could not have been more helpful. Physical property beautiful & immaculately clean. On-site bath and sauna convenient & uncrowded, unlike some in town.
Though the town is within walking distance, roadside construction made the trip a tad hazardous so we always used the hotel shuttle bus.

We loved the food, our large bedroom with futon, relaxing music everywhere , public bath with sauna, and the kind staff.. we were on our honeymoon and they put a lot of care on us (they gifted us also with a little wine bootle). The japanese garden with fishes inside the hotel is really nice.
Position is not great but there is a nice free transfer every time you need (the area outside the hotel is not great probably because a new road is builded)

As soon as we arrived to the ryokan, we felt so welcomed with staffs waiting to greet and help us. All the staff were amazing even though we had a language barrier. Some spoke a little English but for most part, Google translate helped us through. The beautiful garden takes you to another world forgetting how hectic other busy cities in Japan are. We loved how informative the staff was upon arrival to taking us to the room explaining the details of the room and how to wear our kimono. There’s a beautiful onsen on site where no one went in the morning, it’s almost like a private onsen to yourself.
YOU MUST BOOK THE BREAKFAST AND DINNER. the meals were by far our favorite experiences of our 10 day trip, the food was top notched, especially the Tajima beef during dinners sukiyaki.
I can’t wait to stay here again.
the property is a bit out from the center of Kinosaki but the property does shuttle to few different hubs throughout the town near the 7 onsens. the shuttle does shut down at 10PM so that makes it a little difficult if you want to stay a little later at the onsens but most part many places are closed by 10 PM.

Gorgeous interiors! From the lobby which looks out into the beautiful garden, to the corridors and the room itself. We (my friend & I) stayed in a room big enough for 4 people. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Well maintained property.
Nothing.

Beautiful location with very attentive staff.
As a westerner, the pillows were quite uncomfortable.

Great hotel in traditional Japanese style for a very good price. We had a very spacious room. The spa is just great and the employees are all very kind. We will come back one day and we definitely recommend it to our family and friends.

I loved everything about this place, but the one of the best parts was breakfast. 10/10
