Stayed with my daughter who is far too picky to eat out, meaning I had to really use the kitchen!
Within easy walking distance of city centre, a Waitrose, and a 20 minute walk of large Sainsbury's.
The house was clean, the cooker is actually really good (electric fan oven, induction hob) and kitchen fairly well equipped.
The beds were really comfortable and there were plenty of towels.
The noise! I hadn't realised that with no front garden the traffic from the busy main road outside was horrendous! Lorries shook the whole house from 6am to about 2pm and my daughter couldn't sleep through it.
Also the shower drain was clogged and it seems silly that this isn't checked between stays. This couldn't be sorted out as we discovered it on a bank holiday.
We went home 3 days early and have had no offers of reimbursement, just told the noise was my own fault and I should have checked and noticed the house was on a main road.
Would NOT recommend.

Location, everything else was poor
Dirty, poorly laundered sheets with hair, owners refused to change them, had to PURCHASE sheets and change own bed. Shower door broken, and shower tray totally blocked with hair on arrival. Damp smell on arrival, damaged decor.. very tatty. Spoilt family short break

the property was well presented, Blake and Jen were in regular contact to ensure we had everything we needed.

The house has everything you need for a short stay including washing machine, TV, oven and so on.
On entering the property we were welcomed with long black hairs on the floor and ‘bits’ on all carpets throughout and brown stains on the kitchen floor. We also went when the temperature was 32 degrees and we only had one fan for two bedrooms and a sitting room - it was so hot! We then tried opening windows but it is on such a busy road with constant police sirens you had to shut the front ones but had to put up with the drunk neighbours playing music into the early hours at the back. We contacted the owners who said that they would refund our cleaning charge as I had to Hoover throughout but thought that one fan was sufficient for property and that we shouldn’t expect too much as it was one of their ‘budget’ properties.

It was very close to the city centre. Very clean when we arrived. Had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Beds were comfortable, nice clean bedding and towels. Netflix was a great addition for our 2 year old. Owners messaged on second day to check everything was ok which was nice! Great communication before we arrived from owners too. If we ever come back to Chester we will stay here again.
Sofa wasn’t very comfortable but we didn’t spend much time on the sofa to be honest so wasn’t too bothered!

Great location for what wexwere doing with friends living nearby.
Nice easy walk into town.
Could do with a fan for both bedrooms with hot days.
Soap dish in shower would be good.
Some blinds should be replaced with new ones that work correctly.

This property was excellent value for money. Clean and warm. Very comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen. If I was going to Chester again I would return there. Walking distance to city centre and shops. The owners were helpful and answered queries quickly.
Although it did not bother us, being on a main road, it may bother some who like quiet. The lounge diner was fine for 2 off us, but I think 4 adults may struggle with a lack of space.

it was warm
Stairs to top bedroom the light on the stairs was fused. Landing smoke alarm was faulty continuous bussing did email company and they advise they would look at it but then said difficulty finding someone to come out due to time of year light on ceiling in top landing only had one of the bulbs working . Curtains in bedroom were very grotty with black in corners of windows. Top bedroom velux window was needing repaired paint work was black . Sitting room light on ceiling only had two bulbs working . Pile of TV/ Video cable lying and covered with bean bag , Couch was not comfortable one side was nearly hollow. Kitchen door from sitting room to kitchen badly needing cleaning . Kitchen was Ok but boiler had not been serviced since 2018 and reading almost zero on pressure side . We did have an issue with the lights as on our first night all the lights went out but we sourced it to the kitchen light I did email company and they said they didn’t have a spare key to get in and posted bulbs thro door but unfortunately they were wrong size but it turned out to be switch in kitchen that was sticking .Entrance light was not working my wife fell on the step when we arrived . Space where we parked our care was piled up with rubbish just managed to get our car in .

Netflix, comfy bed, kitchen facilities, off road parking,
Light fittings not working, missing floor board in bedroom, sunken sofa and chair due to wear.

The location was ideal for Chester racecourse (running the marathon) and for the city centre for my family
It was very small downstairs due to the staircase which was height restrictive. There was no floorboard under the carpet near window on 1st floor which was hazardous when you stood on it. Radiator did not work in top floor bedroom.

Close to the the city centre, nice daytime walk to and from , used a taxi at night which was very reasonably priced, parking was great , space outside the property, the next door neighbour was very friendly, beds comfy, kitchen had everything, I would recommend this property and would definitely book again
Living room was deceiving, smaller than expected, but was definitely fit for purpose as was only used as a base

The location was brilliant and little things like items like tea coffee, milk and shower gel being available
A little noisy on Saturday night as people were walking back from nightclubs
