Lovely design, lots of little extras (toilet rolls, kitchen roll, Salt & pepper, tea, coffee to name but a few. Comfortable beds & excellent location with shops, bars, restaurants on your doorstep
Having to leave!

Great central location
The bathroom needs modernising - shower in bath only suits very short people & should be replaced with a walk in shower. Locks on toilet & bathroom doors need some DIY attention as does the door closer to the main lounge which is hanging off it’s fixings!

5.0 / 10.0
Great location - a little noisy around Christmas but you expect that on a busy street.
Thé properties heating did not work properly. we contacted the property manager to get it resolved, when it could not be fixed they moved us to another apartment across the road which had super heating. Also, the smell from the nail bar below is so toxic that it is difficult to sleep in the bedroom directly above it. The top two bedrooms were fine.

Excellent location in the centre of town and close to all shops and restaurants. The apartment was quite noisy but this was due to it being the weekend before Christmas and many people out partying but it was idea being close to the bars and restaurants too. It was lovely and quiet in the daytime and had lovely views of the street
Heaters did not work properly but it was the coldest weekend of the year. I did inform the host who replied to state she will sort it out.

Excellent central location. Clean property with essentials provided. Comfortable stay overall.
Sinks in the bathrooms have 2 taps with extreme temperatures, making it difficult to have warm water. Guess that's the norm in the UK, but it was quite inconvenient.
The electric heaters in the living room were not enough to make room heating comfortable.
5.0 / 10.0
The split level arrangements works well and give privacy.
The lounge is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen functional.
The historic exterior it's lovely and quirky. The ramp on the side is helpful for baggies and loading/unloading
The house was clean but the basin in the top bathroom was blocked, so had to buy a liquid unblocker to fix it.
Should have been reported by the cleaner and sorted out before our arrival.
The glass of the windows in the sitting room were too dirty, could do with a wash.
There was a strange smell in the bedroom on the ground floor, I could not place it.
Location is great and central, unfortunately we were kept awake all weekend by drunk people screaming and fighting, until the police picked them up. Triple glazed windows will isolate better from the noise of the road, but I guess planning permission is required because of the historic location.

great location and well furnished.
Strong smell emanating from the nail bar underneath.

Fantastic apartment, right in the centre. everything was within a walks distance. The apart was nice and clean. I would stay here again.
the only issue we found was it was a little loud in the front bedrooms due to the windows being so thin.
9.0 / 10.0
The large sitting room and its location in the centre of Chester
The number and narrowness of stairs though if I had been younger it would not have been a problem

Bit noisy on the front
1.0 / 10.0
It looked clean.
On arrival at the apartment we were greeted by a smell of mould and damp from the ground floor bedroom. The apartment was cold, apart from the smaller of the top bedrooms which was roasting hot and we couldn't open the only window which was in the ceiling so were unable to cool it down in time for bed. So for us, 2 of the 3 bedrooms were totally unusable. In general the apartment felt shabby and uncared for and, despite having driven for 6hrs to get there and arriving late in the evening, such was our dislike of the property that we decided not to stay there. My children were desperate to leave as soon as possible. As we didn't stay, I can't comment on the showers or general noise levels that have been commented on in other reviews.
It has been a tough - and expensive - lesson in why I should always do thorough research before booking. Had I read the individual reviews beforehand, I would not have made the mistake of booking the property, as a number of other guests experienced the same issues we did. I can honestly say that this has been the worst accommodation I have ever booked and the weekend we had been looking forward to for so long was ruined.
I contacted the Property Manager who told me that the smell in the ground floor bedroom was definitely not mould or damp, rather a smell from the nail bar below which occasionally permeates into this room. Given that we arrived at 10pm on Friday night, and then I re-visited the property at 11am the next day, the strong smell was the same on both occasions and, to me, it still smelt of mould and damp. The Property Manager said that she would contact the owner and get back to me but I have heard nothing back from either of them.

Spacious apartment, excellent location. Owner responded to questions very quickly and was friendly and helpful.
Trouble opening some of the windows. A fan was provided which did help. Excellent location right in the centre of Chester (but this did mean it was noisy into the early hours of the morning).

3 double bedrooms made it perfect for a family stay. The kitchen had everything we needed (other than milk which we had to go shopping for) tea, coffee provided.
The property is in need of a lick of paint and refresh. However this does not distort the rating I would give. The street does get noisy through the early morning hours and late at night, so don’t choose if this might bother you! It didn’t bother us.
