Hotel was beautiful inside, lovely decor which felt luxurious, the gardens are well maintained and peaceful with a good sized pool. We were spolit for choice on where to eat and we also enjoyed a wine tasting in their wine cellar. The staff we amazing as we checked out but didnt fly untill 10pm so they let us freshen up in the pool showers and came to collect us when our taxi arrived. What more could you need!

Breakfast is super. Rooms are spartan and comfortable. Dinner options fabulous, but maybe prices are a bit on the high side. 8th time at Fairview since 2005. Can't think of an alternative, no reason.
Dining and drinking prices.

room service was slow. A burger took more than a 30 hour. The TV very small.

The landscape is an oasis in a busy city. It was so peaceful you could hear the frogs croaking at night. However the best part was how kind the staff were.
We enjoyed it all.

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pool area is super relaxing and lust, with great service. Breakfast area is bright and looks out on garden, with good selection. Very cool historic property, will definitely recommend!
The only negative I can think of is that I sent a single piece of laundry for express service, and it was not back by the specified time. It was returned to me shortly after, but had not been washed. Not the end of the world.

Oude vertrouwde sfeer. Zeer vriendelijke bediening en personeel.
Lawaaige kleine kamer (no 25). De kamer lag vlakbij een trap en een zaal. Ik kon zelfs met de ramen dicht en oordoppen in niet slapen. Voor een klasse hotel als Fairview is dit niet acceptabel.

Heel aardig enthousiast personeel. Voelde me zeer welkom. Ze hebben me goed begeleid
De afstand van de receptie naar mijn kamer was wat ver lopen

Some of the staff were lovely.
The food was average, and the hotel downgraded me and my family without telling us, and then proceeded to charge me - incorrectly - for a King Suite when we were staying in a junior suite.
The front desk staff were unhelpful, and payment was due to be taken before arrival, but was not.

The grounds were beautiful. The rooms were big and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was so accommodating. Booking.com had not updated changes I had made and fortunately I had emails that confirmed my changes and the young lady at the reception desk handled the problem quickly. The food and drinks were excellent.

Got food poisoning at the restaurant
Was very much hoping for a follow-up after having expressed that 2 people got sick and we were checking out in a really bad shape

Certainly a value value for money solution for Nairobi. Hotel with personality, high end aesthetics, comfort , focus on sustainability and above all exceptionally friendly personnel. I was the first time in Kenya dnd I felt like home.

The hotel was central location, staff were very helpful and respectful and friendly , eager to help. the staff at reception were very helpful , they gave us very good advice on local markets and cash points , booked our taxis , printed our flight e - tickets , exchanged dollars to local currency , they allowed us to use the facilities for the day after check out as our flight was in the night , we had food at the restaurant before our flight which was excellent .
nothing to fault , we stayed just 1 night .

The property was beautiful. The food was delicious. And most of all the staff was exceptional. They were friendly, professional and helpful. The property also had many amenities that made our stay even better.
I truly can not think of a thing that I did not like.

Lets put it this way there was nothing throughout my stay that I did not like. Excellent.
For my Wife and I there was nothing that troubled us or raised an eyebrow. We would opt for the Fairview anytime we visit Nairobi

Staff were excellent esp. the manager who was very helpful in changing our room when requested. Hotel is excellent, great location and great facilities. Staff are amazingly helpful and go above and beyond to help you in every way that they can.
Main restaurant was closed was close the week we were there due to a major conference and tennis event. A hotel of this type should have separate dining facilities for conference or at least advise client in advance that the main restaurant was closed.

Great colonial hotel, good location, wonderful breakfast, very friendly staff
the rooms close to the reception should be avoided, are quite noisy

1.I did not like that Fairview use both KSH and USD as they see fit. Highly confusing. I suggest using ONE currency.
2. I did not like that Fairview presented me a large Bill on arrival, when it was paid long ago.
3. Idid not like having to remind Fairview to subtract the 30 USD emergency money when paying last Bill on departure day.

There are 4 restaurants on the property and we ate at 2 of them and had good good and beverage every time that was reasonably priced. It is an oasis of green and calm in a busy noisy city.
Everything was fine and the front desk was extraordinarily helpful

the grounds and facilities are excellent
the staff all went the extra mile
we arrived very early and the receptionist arranged an early check in which was a life saver
the hotel arranged a driver to collect us from the airport, Stanley was our driver and we asked for him for all our trips. He was very reliable and safe. We recommend that you use him
gorgeous coffee
dining around the pool at night was very dark and seeing what you were eating was difficult
the evening service was quite slow

Fairview has been my favourite for over two decades. Its great to see how well they have maintained the property and thier quality of service. Love the ambience.
Would be good to have a mini fridge in the room.

Everything was pretty much perfect. It felt like home from home. The staff were great, polite and totally invested in what they were doing. The food was really good and the alcohol was reasonably priced. I loved the gym and the pool looked inviting even though the weather was awful - but the Fairview can't be held responsible for that.
Nothing springs to mind.
