Friendly staff
Overpriced for the green season.
Old fashioned guest house
Uncomfortable coil mattress. Mattresses are too big for the bed Frame ... It feels like you gonna fall.
Curtains are old and useless.
Smelly genkan , no AC is okay but you need to let fresh air in the house/ventilate !
The picture looks nice but the reality is different.

We loved stayed at Mojo Lodge in summer. It was very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the surrounding nature on the bikes we borrowed from them for free. We had an amazing host with Danielle, she always made sure we were happy and was really helpful and charming!

Staff was truly friendly and helpful, especially when it was heavy raining outside and we needed help to get food..
The rooms were tiny, but we booked two with a common door between them, so just enough for the family of 4. All clean, lot of family games in the lobby. We decided to extend our stay!
Well, it would be better to come with your own car. Nevertheless, the pt is close by unless it's raining cats and dogs and if staff is available, they provide free shuttle on short distances :-)

Felt very calm when walking in. Nice welcome. Nice communal seating areas.
The size of the room is fine for 1 person but not for a couple. The room was really hot with no air conditioning (only fan) and no fridge. Breakfast said it started at 7am but on arrival we were informed it was 8am (too late as we planned to leave at 8am).

Before arriving we got very detailed instructions from the property on how to get into town, which were helpful to reach this small mountain town. On the way there we messaged the WhatsApp number that we were sent and arranged a pickup at the airport. They were waiting for us right at the train station.
The building itself is great and it feels and operates more like a cosy BnB than a hotel. Upon entering we took off our shoes at the front door and were given some useful advice by the friendly staff.
Overall it was very comfortable to stay there. Each morning one of the staff personally makes you a hot item and there are several cold things to choose from as well.
The building is in a quiet neighborhood of other BnB type of places and is a great place to stay. It is about a 10 min walk from the bus station and a convenience store and 20-25 from the train station.
Near the end of our stay, we told the woman making breakfast about our departure plans and we arranged another ride to the train station.
I would highly recommend staying here.
The room is a bit small, but that seems to be the Japanese style. Given that this is a tourist destination that focuses on being outdoors, I didn't spend much time inside anyway.

Dani was so nice and welcoming and helped us with any request we had.
The room and the bathroom were very very small. (One of the smallest we stayed in in Japan)
the windows did not work very well and one of them did not have a bug net.

Mojo Lodge was a pleasant surprise in my trip to Hakuba. The facility is a great value but the best part is definitely the staff. I booked fairly last minute and the manager Souza was very communicative and helpful. He coordinated my pickup from the bus station even though I missed my original bus and was arriving after the normal pickup hours. Daniela came and picked me up and was a fantastic host for my entire stay. She showed me around town and made me feel very welcome at the lodge and in Hakuba. I would highly recommend staying at Mojo Lodge and will definitely visit again.

Our stay was comfortable. The host provided shuttle service, even though we arrived late. The breakfast was good. The place was quiet.

Breakfast was good, we had sandwich hand made for each person, plus a variety of drinks, was more than expected.
Room was very small, there was only space for a bed, compared to the price it was a big let down. The mattress was springy and was not a very good night's sleep. The bathroom was dusty. Then we put hot water in the tub it had all sorts of grit and hairs floating - was not a pleasant experience after a long drive. Would not recommend to my friends.

Walkable distance to the main hub of Happo, nice and comfortable communal areas, different breakfast options each morning, host was helpful and would happily offer lifts to bus station, Happo one resort, supermarket, restaurants and onsens
Only one shared toilet and shower, walls were paper thin and we were woken up almost each night around midnight from people coming home drunk and shouting

This lodge was really quite lovely. The hosts were really nice and always accommodated our needs. The lodge itself was clean and quite beautiful, and the rooms were nice and spacious for Japan.

Souza and Takumi were fantastic staff. Very hardworking and would do anything to help us. Souza had great knowledge of the area and where to go each day and night. The free breakfast was good and was great alongside the complementary coffee and juices. Can’t say enough good things about the place.

First time staying in the “green season”. Very low key relative to the ski and snowboard season. Very clean accommodation and great communication with Atsushi and Michael. Will stay there again come winter.
Can’t think of anything.

Great location with shuttle services to drop you off at the bus terminal and some other parts around town for dinner/onsen. The breakfast was generous and the common areas were spacious. Hazy was super accomodating and friendly and it was always nice to have a little chat with him at the end of the day :) Would definitely recommend!

Everything was exceptional from the moment we made our reservations. The facilities were clean and the breakfast to start the day was plentiful and delicious. Michael and Atsushi were attentive to any detail and always willing to help you enjoy your time in the Hakuba area. It’s in a great location and the staff there is willing to take you anywhere you’d like (within reason, of course) if time permits. Highly recommended.
Cant think of a single thing.
