Perfect stay for a getaway to the mountains. The dogs love it too!

Allowing the pets is a plus plus bonus for us and included breakfast was very good as well. The staff is so nice and treats you like family. The fireplace is so cozy and the location is perfect for beginner Skiers.

There was nothing that we did not like.

Very convienient location near the lift at Happo One.

Staff weren’t very friendly. Certainly werent person people. Breakfast was excellent on the first day then next two days not so good.

Great and comfortable stay at Panketo Lodge for both humans and furry pets.

Nice and cozy lodge. Our private room was big enough to have a pop up play pen for our dog and room for our luggage. Shared living room area was nice and clean and cozy.

Must stay for dog families

Everything! The rooms were clean and comfy. Being able to bring our dog with us was awesome, but the level of dog accommodations blew me away. Dog beds, bowls, towels to wipe their paws. The breakfast was so delicious and the property managers were so kind and accommodating. The yoga studio was amazing and it was the perfect retreat. I can’t wait to go back!

Very pleasant experience, good hotel！

The boss is very enthusiastic and will drive us to the ski resort. The atmosphere of the hotel is very warm, and the layout is more like a home than the hotel. You can rest in the living room on the first floor and enjoy the snow scenery outside the window. Breakfast is delicious. The boss's dog is also very cute.

The hotel is a little far from the centre of Baima Village and the southernmost ski run of Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort. It takes more than a kilometre to walk. If you go skiing, the boss can drive guests there and walk by himself when he comes back. If you have a car, you don't have to worry at all.

The breakfast was big and delicious. The care of my puppy (including walking him) while I was out snowboarding was highly appreciated.

Great stay with a home-like feel

Great welcoming staff, wonderful breakfast, great common space - a huge living room with a real chimney. Kids could play on their own or watch Netflix. Dry room for skis and gear; comfortable bed, lots of drawers, where we could put our cloth. Quick access to the Happo-one entrance and kids play zone. All in all wonderful experience!

The family room we were staying at had a tiny washing sink, so it wasn't comfortable to wash face or brush teeth. Other rooms had larger sink. Another small minus - grand piano was terribly out of tune, would really appreciate having that one fixed.

Relaxing stay at this cozy lodge

Lovely ryokan/guesthouse experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the place was super nice - I particularly liked the large living room with fireplace. Breakfast was delicious - buffet style + a hot dish (we had eggs on day 1, smoked salmon bagel on day 2). The lifts are within walking distance as are some restaurants.

The walls are a little thin so the place can be a bit noisy if you are unlucky with the other guests. We were lucky, but if you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing earplugs.

We loved our stay; it exceeded our expectations!

The property is like walking into a winter wonderland movie! It’s beautiful on the outside and super homey on the inside. Our hostess was super friendly and helpful. We don’t have any dogs, but chose to stay here to meet people, and families that are owners. Best breakfast you’ll get in town!

There were no disappointments nor complaints.

Superb

Great host, mamy is fun to talk with! She made my whole family smile. Perfect place for a pet and family vacation. Walking distance from lifts with excellent restaurants near by

Room had a bad smell from the drain the first day. After a few showers it went away.

Our first time at Panketo Lodge, but we’ll definitely stay again. We took our little dog and he also enjoyed being able to explore the property and meet other furry friends! Hot tasty breakfast was different each morning and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

Excellent lodge—highly recommend!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Panketo Lodge. Our host Leo was very friendly and helpful. His golden retriever Marlon also lives at the lodge and is a very friendly dog. I highly recommend staying here for your stay in Hakuba!

pet friendly visit

we loved this place with our dog. super pet friendly. breakfast was great and had a lot of different options. the host is wonderful and helpful.

because it is a lodge and it’s a homey space, you can hear a lot from your room. our dog would bark from our room because of all the sounds. we didn’t mind but it’s nice to know if your dog doesn’t do well in that environment. we would absolutely stay here again.

Absolutely loved everything about Panketo Lodge! Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and breakfast was amazing. The lodge is in a quiet and peaceful area and the Lodges resident dog is SO beautiful!

Highly recommended, especially for those who love dogs.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and we were made to feel very much at home. In particular, we enjoyed the communal area on the ground floor. This was a great for reading, watching TV, drinking tea, and playing with Marlow (the resident dog).
