Trochę trudny i niezbyt intuicyjny dojazd.

Location is stunning and it is also a perfect place if you want to experience an unsual accomodation. The unit is super cosy, I was nicely surprised about the very comfy bed and the equipped kitchen. I recommend you if want to experience something different .
There is a beautiful garden with barbecue and a table to have breakfast, but unfortunately we could not use it because there were many roosters jumping on the table and getting our food.
Also communication with the staff is ot that easy, if you are reading this please be in touch with me about the teddy bear my baby girl forgot when we left (check your inbox in booking and also WhatsApp) thank you

The “sleeping on a bus” concept is well executed, and I’d qualify this as “glamping” without hesitation. Everything is arranged in a practical way, and we found all that we needed for cooking etc. View to the mountain is nice.
The shared facilities could use a revamp - they look a bit unkempt, with e.g. a sink that wasn’t working in the men’s section. Sound isolation is very poor; we could hear the family in the next door bus pretty well. You can also hear a busy road in the distance, so it’s not entirely an “escape to the countryside” experience.

Really well designed accomodation in converted buses. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchenette and only short walk to toilet/ shower block. My son loved staying in a real bus!
Nothing, it was fab.

Picturesque landscape, the photos I took while there look filtered but its truly just a beautiful property. I loved the idea of the renovated buses. Bathroom facility was nice and had everything you need.
Tap water smelled very strong of sulphur. Roosters woke us up very early.

Esjan is one of the best places I've ever stayed. I have never awarded a '10' before on a review.
It is so peaceful and scenic - the surrounding mountains and lava field are stunning. . beach down the hill and the mountains on the other side - just incredible.
In the morning, chickens greet you as you step outside the bus. There are beautiful Icelandic horses on the farm too and birds calling overhead like in an immersive nature tv programme.
The showers are stocked with beautifully scented shampoo and shower gel. The hosts provide plenty of towels.
The bed was extremely comfortable and with the view to the mountain at night, it felt like the dreamiest place on earth.
Don't miss this experience.
I forgot to bring instant coffee. For people like me, a small jar of cheap coffee in the cupboard would be a pleasant addition. The kitchen was all set up with pans and utensils, and a kettle, so coffee or teabags would have been amazing.
In any case, there's a petrol station about 5 minutes away.

Such an unique experience to sleep in an old bus. It was very cozy and we had a great view of the mountain. The host was very friendly.

The place is absolutely stunning and the host was very warm. The bus is very comfortable. I was surprised the mattress was as good as it was. I loved the chickens and cats roaming around. A very spiritual place in easy reach from Reykjavik.

Very fun and quirky room created from old buses. Lovely owners helped us get settled. Views were breathtaking. Bathroom facilities are shared and pretty basic, but functional. Would definitely recommend to those looking to stay somewhere different from the crowd.

The location was great, close to Reykjavik but quiet enough that I could see the northern lights. The room was warm, and had everything I needed
I would have liked guidance of what to do on check out, as I had to guess based on what other guests did when they left. One of the showers didn’t have hot water (but the other was perfect).

We were able to see the auroras and the bus was very clean . The owner was great .

Very well attainable from Reykjavik by car, the location was beautiful and quiet, and it was really cool to stay in a bus. The owner was friendly and helpful.
The facilities are outdoors, so be prepared. It was quite cramped with four people, I would have preferred just two.

Interesting idea to have old buses, that have almost everything contained within. The size is sufficient, although there is not much floor space, but that was expected. The bed was comfy and sheets were warm. The surroundings is very nice with mountains right behind you.
Having been there at the start of October, the room/bus was not too warm, it had a radiator, but way too many heat was lost via windows (I presume). When I pulled down the blinds, it seemed to have got better though. The shared bathrooms in the adjacent building could have been cleaner.

It is absolutly wonderfull place. Nothing could be better here!

Great rooms with a wonderful view! Kitchen has all the equipment you need. Both beds and chairs were comfy (for a bus chair). Bathrooms were very warm and clean. There were enough electric plugs for all your devices. There are cats wandering around waiting you to pet them!
Wifi signal was weak. Good luck going to the bathroom in winter. Hot water was coming from the cold water tap on the bus. The bus was slightly cold despite heating.

I had a wonderful stay here. The buses are a work of art. I made friends with my neighbors and also with a cat. I was honestly sad to leave the next morning.

Interesting and good location.
The door handle to the room broke on entry and was never repaired. The collapsible bunk bed was unusable as the fixture was broken. Three adults had to sleep in one double bed.

A very warm welcome from the host and a great and funny place to stay.
