The location
There was black mold in the bathtub. The room smelled of mildew. The bed and toilet leaned to one side. The air conditioning leaked water. The screens on the windows were tore so couldn't open windows. The lighting only light was one single lamp

Sheets clean! No bed bugs. The old carpet was cleaned and had no odor.
Closed and packed up office with note to retrieve keys at a Days Inn a mile away.
Extremely dated furnishings with curtains hanging from 5 hooks - needed 12.

It was downtown by the boats. I like that it was a motel as we could leave our camping stuff on our car, right outside our room.
The mattress was old and lumpy. Not a good sleep for me. I kept rolling to the middle. Give up at 4:30 am and got up with a back ache.
We had to go across town to get the key.
There was an odor I remember from my grandparents home (old people?).

Only that it was close to walking around town and some site seeing.
There was no one to check us in at the office. No one on-site managing. We had to drive down to another hotel to register. Our room had no hot water, dirty hairy tub and the tv didn’t work. The room smelled. No one around but a phone number and that was just a recording and no one got back to me. Next morning I went down to the other hotel and they gave us a room next to the other. This one had running hot water and the tv worked still had musty smell to it. For the price we paid for two night sure wasn’t worth it.. very upset

The location was the only good thing about this place. You get what you pay for
Looked like it was run down and dirty. Had to check in at a different hotel to get room key.

NOTHING!!!!!
The room was filthy- blood stains on the carpet, fleas, mold in the shower (really bad) - it was horrible and disgusting. They charged our cc and now will not refund our money. I wouldn't expect anyone to stay there. .

The location is about the only thing this place has going for it.
Nothing at this facility has been updated in years... maybe decades. Smoke alarm didn't have a cover or battery. Window air conditioner unit had an extension cord running to it. The mattress in our room had many broken springs. There was a wall lamp hanging over the bed that had spiders and webs in it - so that was hanging over our faces as we slept. I'm pretty sure this room wouldn't have passed inspection - if Mackinaw City even does facility/room inspections?

Nothing!
We walked into the tiniest motel room I have ever been in. The shad on the door was broken, embarrassing to go into. Conn webs everywhere, bugs on the ceiling. Broken furniture, no plug in the bathroom!!! Very sad for the amount of money paid.

I liked the location of where the hotel was located. Walking distance to everything.
The shower was terrible. Hardly worked. Flushed the toilet and the shower lost all water. There was dirty linen still in the shower. Was not pleased at all. I work for a hotel and that wouldnt passed at our place. Other than that wasnt to bad.

Heating system was not working. There was no one at the reception to help us. We were suppose to receive a refund. We tried calling multiple times, no luck.

Convenient, within walking distance to pretty much everything
Parking lot was on the small side for a full size truck.
