All the staff was very friendly and helpful! Our waiter Omar was extremely helpful answering our many questions we had about Oaxaca and places to visit. The location was perfect! Walking distance from a lot of places we visited and the hotel staff helped us with booking our tours.
No AC but they did provide a fan.

Gran ubicación. A una cuadra del zócalo. Pero en una calle tranquila.
Habitaciones muy amplias y cómodas
Techo de doble altura
Colonial
Personal amable.
El desayuno no estaba incluido aunque no estaba caro y estaba delicioso.
El estacionamiento estaba a 2 cuadras pero es gratis.

The location
The shower didn't work properly. There is not air conditioning in the room, which makes it very hot and impossible to sleep. They provide with a fan that makes a lot of noise and it's impossible to sleep at night

Perfect location in Centro. Clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff.

Location was great; walking distance to everything you need to see and do in the downtown area- food and shopping. Quaint building and nice size rooms with comfortable bed. Really enjoyed the courtyard area for breakfast and in the evenings to sit with friends to cool down and chat before turning in.
No A/C in the rooms. We were there in May and it was hot. We had to leave window open and use the loud ceiling fan to cool the room enough to get some sleep, but it was still warm.

Great, central location with excellent walkability to city wide attractions. The hotel was relatively clean, the staff was very friendly and attentive and the hotel had a great historical rustic atmosphere. We stayed in the Saint Maria Suite, which did have an A/C mini split in the bedroom. Americans please remember you are traveling to Oaxaca, which is very socialist; if a student protest and/or anti-capitalist commentary offends you, this city is just not for you. The hotel is next to a socialist communication center; while we were there, a peaceful student protest was underway. It just adds to the character of the stay, which we found very positive.
When it rained, water would come into the room, even when all windows and doors were closed. Bathroom drains emitted a bad odor. Water pressure in shower was very weak. Toilet always took a few flushes too.

Great location and a very comfortable room. The hotel staff were really accommodating and friendly and checked us on early when we arrived.

Location is perfect! Also the decor is charming and authentic.
As everyone else, the demonstration taking place outside was a bit odd but it’s all peaceful. After a day we didn’t even notice it anymore. Wouldn’t let that hold me back from staying here :)

very helpful, English speaking personnel. we were not sure about second night, and this was not a problem, reservation was for two but we paid for one and decided to stay another just next morning. thank you, guys!

The room was big and comfortable with two double beds. The shower and bathroom were large and the water heated up quickly. There was a nice small balcony off the main room, and a fan on the ceiling that could be adjusted.
There were two sets of doors to the balcony, one glass sliding one on the outside, and a second set of normal wooden doors inside, with little windows, so you could adjust from full light, to small windows of light, to complete darkness.
The interiors of the building were pretty and there was a restaurant (but I didn’t have time to try it).
The location was great, one block from the main square (or zócalo).
There was a protest going on outside the hotel with people camping there. Not the fault of the property owners but access to the hotel was a bit limited by taxis. Other than that, the location was great.

I really loved this hotel and it was my favourite place to stay in Mexico. The location is fantastic, just minutes from the zocalo. it was particularly convenient for me because I hurt my knee while I was here and I needed a place where I could do short walks and rest. The location was perfect and the hotel itself is very beautiful. My room was spacious sand comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I hope to return!
I liked everything!

The rooms were nice, but dark, as they were facing to the inner yard. The beds were large and comfortable, the rooms very clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful, had good advice and were always there for questions. The breakfast is also very good, one day they even made it before the actual breakfast hours, because we were going on a trip
the rooms are a bit dark

great location, big room, nice and clean.
stuff very helpful.

The location is absolutely perfect. It’s one step away from the Zocalo, so you could never get lost. Every major sight is 10 minutes away by walk.
The staff was lovely, helpful, and warm. Special thanks to the kitchen staff who made me feel like I was hanging out at home. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is cosy and quiet.

Excellent location - right in the center of Oaxaca, everything of interest walkable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent shower - properly hot water (which I’ve struggled to find in Mexico) and v strong water pressure. Comfortable and value for money, would recommend.
Some rooms face an internal courtyard so can be a little noisy (e.g people setting up breakfast). It didn’t bother me, but may be an issue for light sleepers!
4.5
location, meals, nice meals areas and public areas.
Not very clean rooms, hair and dirt on the floors on our first day from previous guests.
The woman at the front desk wasn’t very friendly to her staff.
We like colonial hotels but the rooms are very small even with a king size room.

Great location, friendly staff.
My room, in particular, was close to the entryway. it was very loud when people came and went

friendly staff
not clear about if breakfast was included as we were charged but eventually fee was waived

The staff was very accommodating and polite. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was brilliant. Very good value for money.
It's a shame that there is a nightclub a few doors away from the hotel that closes until very late and has loud music.

Location, comfortable room.

Exclellent location, food was good and the personal was very nice, very friendly. The service was very good.
The bed sheets have several stains and the towels were old and rough
