Close to Alona Beach and shops, without the expense of being in the beachfront area.
The location of this place is quite noisy at night, and also has a bar/ drinking area at the front that you have to walk through to get in and out of the rooms, so not the best thing to constantly see if you're not into that kind of environment or a family that have kids.

staff are amazing who work here, so friendly and helpful. food they would cook was amazing and so cheap for what you buy! would stay again! prime location also.
nothing.
4.0
The stay was great. I love the bed, I love the CR shampoo and body wash.
Aircon in low cool is not working, additional beds were charged for kids, not able to eat foods from outside
4.5
The entire area was secluded and quiet. Had a great time. Would definitely stay again.
I have no negative response.

Everything was good.
5.0
Very nice place near chocolate hills, beautiful view and friendly staff
4.5
Almost in the center of the island, just a few miles away from Chocolate Hills.
Style is cozy wooden cottage, with view on the downward valley.
Staff was friendly and rapid to react, despite a very short booking period.
4.5
Stephen is a superb host.
3.0
friendly owner and family
beautiful and clean house
the welcome drink is a nice gesture
dinner was delicious, as well as the pancakes
Good location near touristic sites
no noise isolation - the guest needs to adapt to the timings of the rest of the people (staff and guests), cos everything is heard inside the room
room is very small for 2 people
A bit overpriced for PH standards, plus breakfast is not included in the price

Very friendly family run place, great dinner and breakfast, close to chocolate hills, also Stephan gave us great tips for a national park close by (where one can also feed monkeys!) as well as a place where one can find a possibility to rent a cheap local private boat to go on the livid river (very recommendable!)
The roosters in the area were quite loud during the night 😅 but we also forgot to close the windows and were jet lagged.
4.0
Staff helpful and accommodating.
Very tasty dinners and not overpriced.
Hotel shows his age, needs some updates here and there, but Canadian owner does his best.
4.5
We liked the area where the house is located, about 10 minutes tuk-tuk ride to the Chocolate Hills viewing point. Breakfast (not included) was good and the food Stephen cooked for us was delicious. A perfect place that feels rural yet close enough to town and the places of interest on the island.
The communal areas outside the house are not well maintained, chairs and tables at the viewing deck and smoking area were dusty and with bird droppings.

accomodating and friendly staffs

Totally different experience. Warm and accommodating staff and owner Stephen.
Too far from Tagbilaran.

I like that its so quite.
All okay.
1.5
I like that it is close to the places I wanted to see like chocolate hills and the tarsier sanctuary
The people were not very accomodating, the room they gave us was not cleaned or properly prepared for a guest, the air conditioner wasn't working well, the water heater in the bathroom was leaking and there's no hand soap at all.

Dinner and breakfast were delicious

Beautiful location, nice grounds, very helpful host, breakfast options that were not overly expensive.
Water and Wifi supply was an issue however it didn't dull our stay.

bed breakfast shower for 1 night is ok.

Actually I loved this place, everything was so perfect like in paradise.
Nothing needs be changed.
3.0
Location. Opportunity to meet other travellers. Meals and drinks available on site. Pleasant host. Nice outside sitting area with lovely view over surrounding area.
Aggressively toned email to "welcome" guests. Lack of information about local activities and options. The house construction allowed no sound insulation between rooms e.g. kitchen and bedrooms. Family including children lived on upper floor again no sound insulation. Insufficient lighting in bedroom to read books. The shower room in the family room had a persistent leak so the floor was always wet despite a notice on the wall explaining that all water had to be shipped in and wastage may result in the showers running dry. Notice that no food or drink should be consumed in the rooms yet would also not permit guest's own food or drink to be consumed in public areas without a "corkage" fee being charged.
