Great location
Good leisure facilities. Excellent staff.
4.5
Lovely big room and huge comfortable bed.
Great choice of breakfast items from buffet which we don't usually like, but this is very good. Fantastic location with two public car parks next door if you don't want to pay for the hotel carpark which is pricier.
The bathroom was quite tired and the overflow was chipped and rusty. The heated towel rail is quite dangerously hot!!

Location is excellent with good parking. Comfortable and clean. Didn't eat at the hotel

3.5
Lovely staff, comfy bed and clean room, water and chocolate on the room.
The pool was not open as there was a problem with the chlorine. I believe this did get resolved, however it was too late for us to use it.
3.5
Lovely comfortable hotel. Perfect for a 2 night break in Chester. Friendly staff. Limited hotel parking (payable but worth it).
Short walk into town but see comments about entrance.
The only issue is the main entrance which is very dark and a bit scary with nothing else around other than a car park. Surprised that there's not some sort of reception area on the ground floor rather than just on the first floor.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. All staff that we encountered were lovely and very helpful. The restaurant at the hotel is very nice and the food tasted amazing. There was so much to choose from at breakfast. Cereal, pastries, English breakfast, fruit, toast and a machine to make American style pancakes. They also offer cook to order choices too.
The room got very hot during the night. We think the heating was still on as were the thick duvets but we think that was mainly because it was the first really hot day we've had this year.

It is tired and dated and in need of new carpets and repainted as marks and scuffs everywhere. You can hear every noise in the corridor so sleep prooved elusive.

Location
The restaurant atmosphere was spoilt by a large loud coarse group of men in the adjoining bar section which prevented us holding a conversation without raising our voices. We didn't eat in there again.

Location carparking
General in clean bedrooms
Bathroom dirty - tiles, round skirting ,toilet, taps
Room unclean under bed, skirting’s etc. the same in all 3 rooms my friends stayed in.
Needs a refurbishment
Room Not worth the money - travelodge is cleaner
Which is very disappointing
4.5
The style of the hotel. The close proximity to Chester centre.the pool and sauna facilties were good, particularly for the time of year when weather not so good.
The room price was a bit high considering we had to pay extra to park at the venue and pay extra for breakfast.

Not very good sausage an d bacon could not eat it bad value
Breakfast
4.5
Breakfast was great, everything was hot, a member of our group asked for porridge and they made one for ger, very promptly.
Our group was 5 couples, 5 rooms, four of us arrived around 11.15 am,checked our bags in ,and registered the car,we went out for breakfast, and the other couples met up in the hotel, checked bags and Registered their cars,we all met up in chester and had a lovely afternoon, we were eating in the hotel that evening so decided to go back around 19.15,to check in our rooms as we were eating at 8pm, the receptionist told us 4 couples have a room we asked for and one couple have an inferior room!! As I was the lead person in the group I asked why it was inferior, and was told because we hadn't checked in,they had sold our room!! But they knew we were here as they had our cases and car registration!, why had this happened?? We sent the 4 couples off to their room and we were handed the keys for the next floor, (floor 3) on entering the room I honestly could not find anything inferior about it,bed was large, nice sheets, bathroom was large and nice towels, it was warm, tea coffee etc supplied and large tele, the only thing inferior I could find was there was no view!! But we were only staying one night so it really didn't matter . We were told we could have the room no charge! 2 bottles of prosecco, 50 per cent of our meals and free parking, it was all very nice ,but why did it happen !!

Only problem was thin walls could hear next door talking n TV on at 6am

Receiption staff did not seem friendly.
The rooms definitely need refurbishing from door handles and locks to the bathrooms.
4.5
Room facilities, although the hairdryer sounded as if it was going to blow up, to be fair, it was sorted.
Fridge, safe, ironing facilities, teas coffees, water, and biscuits.
Close to the city centre.
£13.50 for parking was a bit steep as was £15 for breakfast on top of the price of the room.
Bar prices were a bit on the pricy side too, hence why we went out every evening, although we would have rather stay in the hotel.

I paid for overnight parking at reception on checking in. The receptionist took my car registration details and issued a receipt. Nevertheless a week later I received a parking penalty notice. This was annoying and it took time to make representations and find the necessary paperwork. The penalty was subsequently cancelled but without a word of regret or apology from either the company administering the parking or the hotel. This is very poor and I would in future try to avoid staying in one of these hotels.

We enjoyed using the swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. We also enjoyed having some treatments done as well.

Liked the magnifying mirror in the bathroom.
Lighting in reception floor and ground floor. Could be made to feel a bit more cosy.

Location was the best part of this hotel
The club lounge was very poor. Poor selection of wine and food choice very poor. Shower didn’t work properly. Rain shower didn’t work at all and hand held shower couldn’t regulate temperature
